MD - Community Medicine, MBBS
General Physician,
If it with your regular partner, you can say safe sex. But in case of another partner, use condoms always. Read technique of wearing condoms given with instructions in condom packet or cover. If you want to ask anything else, write specifically in detail. Feel free to enjoy.

Hello Lybrate user- Ayurvedic concept of pcod (poly cystic ovarian disease) is somewhat different than modern concept, it generally occurs due to irregular food and daily habits done specially at the time of menstrual bleeding period. Pcod effect the ovulation process thus makes it difficult for the female to conceive and get pregnant. Some general tips to avoid pcod are- a) Avoid spicy food fast food during the bleeding and take fresh Indian food. B) Use wet sponging instead of taking bath on those days. C) Avoid running, skipping and other exercises on those days. D) Use Dashmoolarishtha 2 tsp twice daily with water ten days before menses.

There's no evidence that eating peanuts, or foods containing peanuts, while you're pregnant affects whether or not your baby develops a peanut allergy. The government used to advise pregnant women with a family history of allergies, such as asthma, eczema, or hayfever, to consider not eating peanuts. Most women who eat peanuts or peanut butter during pregnancy will have children without allergies, but this exposure does seem to increase the risk. There is a suggestion in the medical literature that women who eat peanuts one or more times a week during pregnancy or who have more exposure to peanuts during their third.

Hi, I am married 32 years female. Iam trying to conceive for past 3 years, but in vain. I was diagonised with thyroid. Last oct'14 I did laproscopy and doctors deducted genital tb and told me that my one tube is affected by tb. Other tube and uterus is fine. After taking 6 months tb treatment through oral medications, infections will be cured and there is a way for pregnancy. Now 6 months advised medication is over. Now the doctors are asking me to go for ivf directly for 2. 25 lakhs. And they say that 99. 9% there is no way for natural pregnancy. And ivf also they doubt whether it would succeed or not. We were devasted by hearing this. Every day I take 7 tablets which are heavy dose (1-thyroid, 5-tb, 1-folic), due to which my skin turned orange. My urine and stool also turned orange. Frankly saying, for last one month I did not head out of my room. Only the doctors words keeps hearing. I could feel full of mental pressure due to the same thinking" will I ever be a mom one day. So finally my husband took me to n ayurveda doctor. He checked my pulse and glanced my reports and shouted at me saying that the treatment is wrong. He has given me full body cleansing for a day, uterus cleansing for 3 days on my period and 1 month medication on some powder. Please doctor, let me know if I am in correct way?

Urine is orange coloured because of tb drugs. Now, we have to reassess the tube before taking final decision for ivf. As such, if one tube is patent, we can try iui. Never lose hope.

I faces problem and a lot of pain during menstrual cycle. How can reduce the pain.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS

I faces problem and a lot of pain during menstrual cycle. How can reduce the pain.
During painful cycles, you will need bed rest. Drink lots of fluids. Use a hot water bottle to relieve the pain. Food should be bland and easily digestible. Vacate urine and stool timely, do not keep holding due to the pain. Try deep breathing exercises and yoga. There are many anti spasmodic medicines in the market. You can try them. Certain more serious causes of pain during cycles need to be ruled, since they can affect future fertility.

We were having sex after a gap of long time (more than a year). During sex, blood came out from my wife's vagina. She did not have any pain. Please suggest the possible cause of such bleeding.

DGO, MD, MRCOG, CCST, Accredation in Colposcopy

It may be due to trauma. However occasionally it may be related to local pathology in the cervix like a polyp or abnormal cells. Hence it is important to go to the Gynaecologist so that appropriate examination can be done

Every girl bleeds at the time of first intercourse or at the time of loosing virginity? Explain me in detail.

Every girl bleeds at the time of first intercourse or at the time of loosing virginity? Explain me in detail.
No every girl does not bleed. Bleeding is caused by the hymein being broken. This can happen during day to day life. If you horse ride it can happen, if you fall hard when ice skating it can happen, if you take a bad fall in genral it can happen. If you mastrabate internatlly in can happen. Basicly the hymein is not a very strong peice of skin. It can rupture while running, cycling or even vigorous excercises. If a women doesn't bleed then does it mean that she is not a virgin. She is virgin. If you do not bleed is it's not bad, as I said they can be lost in day to day activity (even running) just anything where the impact is enough to break it or if you have had any internal exams (like the smear) or have tried internal mastrabation. Its not bad.
