My leg so Vert pain. I am disturb in pain please sir my help me so your thanks. My name Anil Yadav.
For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Your problem will be taken care of with homeopathy. Just tell me when it pains most -when you walk, or sit, or bend? do you feel any tension in the back muscles? put your hand there and feel it. Is there anything that relieves your pain? other than pain killers. What about mornings -any pain then?

I am Amar Joshi 23 years old Ankylosing spondylitis patient I am suffering As from 5 years I'm doing exercise regularly but my neck posture is not getting well please suggest what to do for that as soon. As possible please.

Fellowship in Neurological Rehabilitation, BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Gurgaon
Hi * Prone lying is the best exercise for maintaining erect posture. Lie face down on a firm surface, such as the floor or a firm bed. In case you are uncomfortable, you can place a pillow under your chest and a folded towel under your forehead. It's often helpful to do this posture training after a warm bath or shower or whenever the body is warmed up. *Try sleeping on a firm, but not hard, bed to maintain a good, non-bent resting posture at night. Avoid using a pillow, to prevent pain from over-extension of the neck and spine. *Splints, braces, and corsets are generally not advised for spondylitis patients. *Hardback, upright chairs or straight-backed rocking chairs are better for your posture than low, soft, upholstered chairs or sofas. Use a cushion behind your lower back to give extra support and help you keep good posture. *try to seat at the proper height and don’t sit in one position for too long without moving your back. *Try doing specific strengthening and flexibility exercises under guidance of physiotherapist. Thanks and take care.

Injury to knee should not be ignored as knee is one of the major weight bearing joint in body. Thorough assessment is needed to diagnose and treat your problem. Please consult an orthopedic surgeon. You may apply a cold pack at the problem area for pain relief.

Shoulder Joint Pain

Shoulder Joint Pain

Shoulder pain and injuries

The shoulder is a ball-and-socket joint that has three main bones: the humerus (long arm bone), the clavicle (collarbone), and the scapula (also known as the shoulder blade). These bones are cushioned by a layer of cartilage

The shoulder joint is a very mobile joint which makes it very susceptible to injury. It moves the shoulder forward and backward. It also allows the arm to move in a circular motion, and to move up and away from the body.

Shoulders get their range of motion from the rotator cuff. The rotator cuff is made up of four tendons. Tendons are the tissues that connect muscles to bone. It may be painful or difficult to lift your arm over your head if the tendons or bones around the rotator cuff are damaged or swollen.
You can injure your shoulder by performing manual labor, playing sports, or even by repetitive movement. Certain diseases can bring about pain that travels to the shoulder. These include diseases of the cervical spine of the neck, as well as liver, heart, or gallbladder disease.
You're more likely to have problems with your shoulder as you grow older. It is especially common after age 60. This is because the soft tissues surrounding the shoulder tend to degenerate with age.
Most shoulder pain problems are:

  •   tendonitis/bursitis, injury or instability of the joint, or arthritic disease.
  •   rotator cuff syndrome is a strain or sprain or tear of the tendons that make up the rotator cuff.
  •   rarely, tumors, infections, and nerve damage cause shoulder pain.
  •   much neck pain is caused by soft tissue damage due to injuries such as whiplash or wear and tear due to overuse.
  •   damage to spine joints and bones, such as cervical disk degeneration, arthritis, or traumatic injury can cause severe pain and disability.
  •   fibromyalgia (whole body pain syndrome) can contribute to neck and upper back pain. Poor posture while performing everyday activities can also cause significant neck pain. Rarely, infections or tumors will cause neck pain.
  •   pinching a nerve in the neck or shoulder, or breaking a shoulder or arm bone, are also causes of pain.
  •   a frozen shoulder is when tendons, ligaments, and muscles stiffen and become difficult or impossible to move.
  •   a dislocated shoulder is when the ball of the humerus pulls out of the shoulder socket. An injury due to overuse or repetitive use can cause injury

A work environment that's good for the body is very important. Most of us spend hours each day sitting in front of our computer.
The first step to creating an ergonomic workstation is to consider how you spend most of your time at the workstation.

I am 73 years old male I have back pain from 03-08-2015. What is the remedy for the same?
Back ache can be due to several reasons. It can be muscular, related to disc degeneration or prolapse, joint irritation or nerve pinching. Most common is muscle pain due to tight and weak back and abdominal muscles. Keep a positive attitude, focus more on keeping good posture especially when sitting for long hours, use lumbar support. Take frequent breaks and stretch in between. Try changing sleeping habits. Try hot or cold therapy as tolerated. Wish you speedy recovery.

This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. It looks like you are anaemic. If you have back pain after you sit for long hours then it is due to your haemoglobin levels as it is important to check that. Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having back / leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain.
