Any testicular lump needs medical attention, however small it may be. Because, at your age, testicular swelling is the most common type of swelling. But don't get afraid. It responds very well to treatment. And the earlier it is detected, the better is the result of treatment. Please don't suffer silently from embarrassment. Please consult and get it treated.

From long time my mouth is getting very dry and due to which my inner skin of my mouth is coming under my teeth. I drink lot of water but problem remains the same. I done a sugar test and the level of my sugarpp is 70, I have started taking medicine but problem has not been soved. Please suggest.

Dentist, Aurangabad
Along with salivary function tests, try to do following things, drink plenty of water each day. However, try to limit your intake of coffee, soft drinks and alcohol, which can dry up your mouth. So just avoid them as much as possible. Chewing sugarless gum and sucking candies can also be helpful, as this stimulates saliva production.

Hi sir. My age Is 26 now. I have a problem of stammering. Because of the issue of stammering I can't able to speak good. It's dominated my career growth. Am had horrible experience in Day to day life. Today's situation fluent speak is more essential to live. U suffering from all the disability to speak properly. Can any one save me from this issue. Please help me. Suggest me any time of treatment or surgery regarding speaking problem.

MD - Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Chennai
Stammering is typically recognised by a tense struggle to get words out. This makes it different from the normal non-fluency we all experience which includes hesitations and repetitions. Commonly it involves repeating or prolonging sounds or words, or getting stuck without any sound (silent blocking). Sometimes people put in extra sounds or words. Often people lose eye contact. Some people who stammer talk their way round difficult words so that you may not realise they stammer at all. This avoidance of words, and avoidance of speaking in some or many situations, is an important aspect of stammering. Stammering varies tremendously from person to person and is highly variable for the person who stammers who may be fluent one minute and struggling to speak the next. Get an mri brain and eeg with a psychiatrist evaluation.

He controlled his blood sugar. From last 2 months his sugar level is between 130-150. He has lots of stress about our marriage. Is diabetics affect our sexual life? Lybrate-user, if a person has confirmed diabetes and is on treatment, then stopping the treatment is not advisable. The sugar level mentioned (130 to 150 mg) is which one? fasting or pp? because once drug treatment is stopped blood sugar can increase disproportionately. Get his hba1c% checked, it has to aoround 6 to be free from diabetes. (5.9 to 6.4 % is prediabetes, >6.5 % is diabetes). As regards affection of sexual life, yes it can get affected if blood sugar levels are not strictly controlled with appropriate treatment. It is better if consults a proper diabetologist. Thanks.

The importance of correct sleeping posture
Sleeping Posture

Sleep on your back or side only. Do not sleep on your stomach as this often causes lower back and neck strain. Use a quality contoured pillow that provides adequate support to your head and neck while sleeping.
When your back is painful you may place a pillow under your knees (when on your back) or between your knees (when on your side).

Asperger's Syndrome - Causes And Diagnosis

M.D Psychiatry , MBBS
Psychiatrist, Delhi
Asperger's Syndrome - Causes And Diagnosis

Asperger's syndrome has been found to affect people at a tender age. The augmented impacts of this syndrome are felt as you grow up. It is a neurological disorder falling under the scope of Autistic Spectrum Disorders. However, it is a milder form of autism and has similarly unidentifiable causes. A person afflicted with Asperger's syndrome will not exhibit stark signs of the disorder. These persons are usually smart and brilliant but face issues in communicating or interacting socially.

Factors that may result in this disorder

  • Genetic factors could also afflict you with such a syndrome. Thus, it is important to carry your family history while consulting a doctor.
  • Certain changes in a person's brain could create trouble.
  • Your body could be susceptible to external toxins: many times bacteria and viruses from a polluted environment can lead you to such a serious neurological condition.

Ways to diagnose Asperger's syndrome

  1. A doctor would concentrate on your child's speech: Language development can hint at many underlying health issues. Your child might fail to process speech around him or her which impairs its own speech.
  2. Exchanges in a social setup could be indicative of something: Children or adults could find social gatherings challenging. They feel awkward to interact with friends, relatives and colleagues. It takes a lot of effort on their part to exchange basic pleasantries. A doctor will be able to deduce from such symptoms.
  3. Facial expressions while conversing could help diagnosis: A person's facial expressions tell a lot about how they formulate or feel about things. Their words, at the same time, could be contrary. Counselors lay stress on frequent sittings to closely note the gestures made by a patient.
  4. Comprehension and coordination capabilities: Your child or loved one might find it difficult to handle motor regulated appliances. Comprehending instructions could also be a test. People suffering from Asperger's syndrome face problems in understanding simple things.
  5. Responding to change will also be taken into consideration: Patients trying to cope with this syndrome are usually not open to change. They take a very long time to adapt to a given way of life; a sudden change will thwart their idea of normalcy.

I am 22 years old I have diabetes what is the perfect diet for me. Please tell me.
Preventing or managing diabetes requires clinical interventions as well as lifestyle changes. Medication is only one small part of managing diabetes. The major changes come from self-care activities. There are five essential self-care behaviours that have good outcomes. 1. Diet – Consume a low-fat, high-fibre diet helps. Eat lot of fruits, vegetables (at least 4-5 helping a day) along with whole meal, cereals and lentils 2. Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. 3. Pregnancy is still possible, especially with modern treatment. I think, you should not waste time, just consult doctor with your husband and find out the cause of the problem. Then solution would be easier. All the best.
