My daughter is 7 months 12 days old. I need a healthy food chart with timing and also recommend the grains, cereals, fruits and vegetables give to her. I have one more doubt my daughter 7 month or 8 month old by your medical term.

Hello, For your 7 Month Old baby (Medical Term) we prescribed her softly mashed, or chopped into fine pieces, fruits, vegetables, meats, pasta and dairy such as yogurt and cheeses. Pasta, veggies, and fruit should all be soft cooked and possibly mashed with a fork or masher. (Bananas need only be mashed.) Meats and proteins such as egg yolk, should be cooked and pureed or chopped into small soft bits. If offering Tofu, you need not cook it first. Remember, your baby will not have molars until sometime around the 12-18 month age range so all foods should be easily mashed between the gums. Your 7 month old baby may seem to be starving herself at some point. Because you are likely offering her more finger food selections or thicker/chunkier foods, the amount of food eaten appears smaller. At this stage, your baby may be eating 3 “meals” a day and possibly enjoying a snack or 2 in between. There are some babies in this age range who will still be eating only 1 “meal” of solids so don’t feel pressured to have your baby eat 3 solid food meals per day. The important thing is to watch your baby’s hunger cues and and try to begin setting a schedule for 3 meals a day. Offer him a balanced array of foods – fruits, veggies, a protein & a grain if possible and ensure her nursing or formula feedings are adequate.

My son will be 2 months old on ninth feb. He has not done poop from 4 days. But he is passing gas a few times. Is it ok?

Babies vary with the frequency of passing stools. It's not worrying if he doesn't pass stools 3-4 days but if it's hard and causes discomfort to the baby, then I would be more concerned. Breastfed babies generally have soft stools compared to the bottlefed ones.

Whooping Cough In Kids - How Homeopathy Can Help You Get Relief?

Cough and cold are very daunting diseases for anyone out there. Especially for people who have a tendency of catching cold easily. Nobody likes to have a runny nose, vigorous cough and fever. But all these symptoms occur when anyone suffers from cough and cold. However, the symptoms get doubled when anyone suffers with Whooping cough. Though any kind of chronic cough can be severe enough but whooping cough is the most panic striking among them all.

What is whooping cough?

Whooping cough begins with a little respiratory illness and includes runny nose, relentless cough. In later stages a development of vivid, copious mucus with the cough and the whoop sound while coughing develops. Whooping cough can be treated safely. If we look at the homeopathic treatment, there are various remedies for whooping cough. But first and foremost, it is very important to boost your immunity. Good immunity helps you to recover faster. Next you need to add nutrition to your diet, which are very important for your health. So intake green veggies and fruits as much as you can. Talking about the homeopathy treatment, yes there are some common homeopathic medicines available, which are prescribed for whooping cough. However, it depends upon individuals and their condition as to which one would be prescribed.

Listed are homeopathic medicines for whooping cough:

  1. Antimonium tartaricum: This medicine is prescribed if anyone suffers with scanty and prolific cough along with difficulties in chest or lung. The patient may get mucus with cough, but it hardly comes out. As a result, the patient might end up vomiting in an effort to expel the mucus. The cough can be worse in this case, and the patient might feel breathless often. This medicine is prescribed in such a condition when the chest is filled with mucus, but it barely comes out.
  2. Drosera: This medicine is prescribed when a person experiences convulsions of coughing and ends up having cyanosis and shortness of breathing. The cough will be worse, especially at night, and the patient may end up vomiting. There is a chance of getting cramps in feet and hands while coughing.
  3. Belladona: This is a very common medicine for whooping cough, which is usually prescribed in the early feverish stages of whooping cough. If taken properly, it can be effective in terms of curing the illness.

Mostly in the coughing stage, patients may face violent cough with red nose and bulging out of eyes, there can be abdominal pain too. Severe irritation in larynx and headache too are noticed in this period. All the above mentioned homeopathic medicines are likely to be used in treating whooping cough infection.

There are bitter tasted medications available in market you can apply on thumb and gradually they forget to suck. However few babies are still resistant to this mode of therapy for them you need to apply habit breaker over upper teeth plates. Which are usually done by dentists.
