If all checkups are normal, the the common reason for this is gas accumulation due to not proper digestive system of urs. If you have constipation, it should be treated. Revert me back for medicines.

My father feeling burning sensation in heart at the time walking. Is angiogram necessary?
First a proper assessment of the problem is required. Then some non invasive investigations will be required. If cardiovascular in origin with positive findings then invasive coronary interventions are required.

I am 42 years old. I have piles problem for the past 1 year. How can solve the problem without operation. Give me your advice.

MD - General Medicine
Internal Medicine Specialist, Noida
Making simple dietary changes and not straining on the toilet are often recommended first. If more invasive treatment is needed, the type used will depend on where your hemorrhoids are, particularly if they have developed above, on or below the dentate line. This is a line in the anal canal that separates the areas where the nerves can and can't transmit pain messages. Non-surgical treatments are likely to be very painful for hemorrhoids that have developed on or below the dentate line, as the nerves in this area can detect pain. In these cases, hemorrhoid surgery will usually be recommended. If constipation is thought to be the cause of your hemorrhoids, you need to keep your stools soft and regular, so that you don't strain when passing stools. You can do this by increasing the amount of fiber in your diet. Good sources of fiber include wholegrain bread, cereal, fruit and vegetables. You should also drink plenty of water and avoid caffeine (found in tea, coffee and cola). Follow the below advice when going to the toilet: avoid straining to pass stools, as this may make your hemorrhoids worse, after passing a stool, use moist toilet paper or baby wipes to clean your bottom, rather than dry toilet paper pat the area around your bottom, rather than rubbing it. Various creams, ointments and suppositories (which are inserted into your bottom) are available from pharmacies without a prescription. They can be used to relieve any swelling and discomfort. These medicines should only be used for five to seven days at a time. If you use them for longer, they may irritate the sensitive skin around your anus. Any medication should be combined with the diet and self-care advice detailed above. Common painkilling medication, such as paracetamol, can relieve the pain of hemorrhoids. However, you should avoid codeine painkillers, as they can cause constipation. If you are constipated, your physician may prescribe a laxative. This is a type of medication that can help you empty your bowels. You should meet your doctor to know which type is needed by you after a physical examination. Non surgical methods. Banding is a procedure that involves placing a very tight elastic band around the base of your hemorrhoids, to cut off their blood supply. The hemorrhoids should then fall off within about a week of having the treatment. Banding is usually a day procedure, without the need for an anesthetic, and most people can return to their normal activities the next day. You may feel some pain or discomfort for a day or so. Normal painkillers are usually effective, a treatment called sclerotherapy may be used as an alternative to banding. During sclerotherapy, a chemical solution is injected into the blood vessels in your back passage. This relieves pain by numbing the nerve endings at the site of the injection. It also hardens the tissue of the haemorrhoid so that a scar is formed. After about four to six weeks, the haemorrhoid should decrease in size or shrivel up. After the injection, avoid strenuous exercise for the rest of the day. You may experience minor pain for a while and may bleed a little. You should be able to resume normal activities, including work, the day after the procedure. Infrared coagulation is also sometimes used to treat haemorrhoids. During the procedure, a special device that emits infrared light is used to burn the haemorrhoid tissue and cut off their blood supply. A similar procedure can also be carried out using an electric current instead of infrared light. This is known as diathermy or electrotherapy.

Duffusely calcified wall with echogenic lumen suggestive of thrombosis in left distal posterior tibial artery with collateral reformation distal to occlusion. What should I do ?

Keep your diabetes under perfect control. As far as blockage is concerned treatment depends upon the symptoms. If there is numbness, pain in the foot, foot is colder than the other side, or the foot is becoming weak. Then you need treatment. It may be with medicines or in sever cases surgery may be needed.

What are the symptoms for the malaria.

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician,
What are the symptoms for the malaria.
Malaria is a life-threatening disease transmitted through bite of anopheles mosquito infected with a plasmodium parasite. The parasites travel to the liver, where they mature and infect red blood cells. Symptoms of malaria develop within 1-4 weeks following the infection. Like: high fever with shaking chills profuse sweating headache nausea/vomiting diarrhea/bloody stools anemia muscle pain seizures coma dragging heavy sensation in abdomen (enlarged spleen). Symptoms may appear in cycles. Episodes of symptoms may occur every 48 hours in infection with p. Vivax or p. Ovale. This cycle of symptoms is also one of the major signs that you are infected with malaria.

PCOS

MD - Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Noida
PCOS

PCOS Treatment?

Treatment for PCOS is not curative. Treatment focuses on controlling symptoms and managing the condition to prevent complications. The treatment will vary from woman to woman, depending on specific symptoms.

A healthy diet and regular exercise are recommended for all women with PCOS, particularly those who are overweight. This can help to regulate your menstrual cycle and lower your blood glucose levels.

Women who don't want to become pregnant may be prescribed birth control pills. These can help treat acne, regulate the menstrual cycle, and lower levels of male hormones, such as testosterone, in the body. If a woman with PCOS is suffering from infertility, fertility drugs may be administered for helping her to ovulate.

Anti-androgens are drugs that reduce male hormone levels. These can help stop excess hair growth and reduce acne. Diabetes medications may also be prescribed to lower blood glucose and testosterone levels.

Surgery may be recommended for some women with PCOS. Ovarian drilling is a procedure in which the doctor punctures patient's ovary with a small needle that carries an electric current, in order to destroy part of the ovary. This is a short-term solution that can promote ovulation and reduce male hormone levels.

Potential Complications of PCOS?

Women with PCOS have a higher risk of developing:

  • hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • high cholesterol
  • anxiety and depression
  • sleep apnea (when a person stops breathing periodically during sleep)
  • endometrial cancer (cancer caused by thickening of the lining of the uterus)
  • heart attack
  • diabetes
  • breast cancer

If you become pregnant, your doctor may refer you to a doctor who specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Women with PCOS have a higher rate of miscarriage, gestational diabetes, and premature delivery. They may also require extra monitoring during pregnancy.

The earlier the PCOS is diagnosed and treated, the lower is the risk of developing these complications. Avoidance of tobacco products and participating in regular exercise can also reduce the risk of some of these co-morbidities. The patients must talk to the Gynae about what PCOS means for your overall health and how you can prevent serious complications.

Is stammering or stuttering a disease? How can it be cured? Are there any medicines? How can it be controlled? Is there any exercises?

MD - Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Chennai
Stammering is typically recognised by a tense struggle to get words out. This makes it different from the normal non-fluency we all experience which includes hesitations and repetitions. Commonly it involves repeating or prolonging sounds or words, or getting stuck without any sound (silent blocking). Sometimes people put in extra sounds or words. Often people lose eye contact. Some people who stammer talk their way round difficult words so that you may not realise they stammer at all. This avoidance of words, and avoidance of speaking in some or many situations, is an important aspect of stammering. Stammering varies tremendously from person to person and is highly variable for the person who stammers who may be fluent one minute and struggling to speak the next. Get an mri brain and eeg with a psychiatrist evaluation.
