Dr. I am 32yrs. & suffered PCOD; Nearly 1 yr. The fertility treatment was taken. For last four month I took the Lupigest inj. 150 mg - 2 per month, OOSURE-2 per day, Ovaashield caps & after 18th day cap. Lupigest200mg (10). But yet now not success. Is any side effect for continuations of inj. & hormone caps.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
Effect of these injections are for very short duration and there is no lifelong effect or major side effect. As you r taking these injections it is better to go for iui rather than relying on natural intercourse specially when you r suffering from pcod.

Your developing baby is protected by the amniotic fluid in your uterus, as well as the strong muscles of the uterus itself. Sexual activity won't affect your baby. So it is completely safe to sex during pregnancy. But during first trimester sometimes there is risk of miscarriage because of intercourse and excessive body movement so try to avoid sex during first trimester.

Most likely your periods have come early related to stress. However since it is less than usual I would advice you to do a urine pregnancy test as well. If negative simply monitor your cycles for the next two months. It should come back to normal.

1. No sex for at least for 6 weeks. 2. Only after bleeding/ discharge has stopped 3. Wound has healed properly and is healthy 4. Fore play is ok 5. Request your husband to share with you in taking care of the new born baby rather than sex 6. Wait is best.

Lap (or laparoscopy) suggested to you in your case, is a diagnostic invasive test done under anesthesia. This test offers a better idea about your fertility status, letting the doctor see the condition of the uterus, both the fallopian tubes and both ovaries, and whether there is any adhesion or other problem in the pelvis. It is usually combined with chromo-pertubation, which is a dye test to test the patency of the tubes by spillage of the dye from the ends of the tubes when the dye is pushed through the mouth of the uterus.

Causes, Symptoms And Treatment of Female Sexual Dysfunction

Constant problems in women during intimate activity is enough to send you or your partner in agony. It is important to understand that it can be due to female sexual dysfunction. Female sexual dysfunction can happen at any stage of a woman's life and can be lifelong, but os usually acquired later in life. Also it can be due to some situations or all sexual situations.

Symptoms
Women with sexual dysfunction might show the following symptoms:

  • Decreased sexual desire: A lack of interest and willingness to engage in sexual activity is the most common symptom of female sexual dysfunction.
  • Sexual arousal disorder: The desire of involving in sexual activity might be present, but it is difficult to become aroused or unable to maintain the arousal during the act.
  • Orgasmic disorder: One experiences repeated and constant difficulty in attaining orgasm despite of an orgasm and stimulation.
  • Sexual pain disorder: Pain is experienced on vaginal contact or stimulation

Causes
Following can contribute to dysfunction:

  • Medical conditions like kidney failure, heart diseases, cancer, and multiple sclerosis can lead to dysfunction. Some medicines like the antihistamines, antidepressants and blood pressure medicines can lead to a lowered sexual desire and an inability to experience orgasm.
  • Hormonal changes during pregnancy, after a baby and menopause also affect the sexual activity. The estrogen levels fall postmenopausal and change the genital tissues along with the sexual responsiveness. It is believed that a decrease in estrogen levels leads to a decrease in the blood flow of the pelvic region, thus leading to more time for an orgasm.
  • An anxiety or depression, which has not been treated can lead to sexual dysfunction. A history of sexual abuse or stress that has been present for a long time also leads to dysfunction.
  • A conflict with the partner in the relationship or about sex can also decrease sexual responsiveness.

Treatment
Non-medicated treatment

  • Openly communicating with your partner about your likes and dislikes makes a great difference
  • Regular exercising gives a boost to the stamina and elevates the mood thus increasing romantic feelings. Use of alcohol should be decreased
  • Taking help from a therapist in case of problems with sex and relationships
  • Use of device and lubricants can help in arousal If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

I am 33 years old. Currently I am suffering from a breast cancer. I don't have child since last 4 years of marriage. I had taken treatment for it but failed. I have question that after recovering from cancer, Will I be able to take treatment for fertility.

MD - Radiothrapy, MBBS
Oncologist, Pune
As you don't have a child, there is a option of ovum preservation before starting chemotherapy. Many women experience menopause after chemotherapy, most of them start their normal menstrual cycle within 2 years and can have normal babies. Some might have permanent menopause. Recently there are some drugs given during chemotherapy which may reduce the effects of chemotherapy on ovaries and increase chances of pregnancy later on. Please consult Radiation oncologist from your city for further information. Hope this information is helpful.

Hello sir. Sir please tell me if any lump is in brest so whats the reason for that. I concern many doctors she says its a febudunoma disese.

MD - Radiation Oncology, MBBS, DNB (Radiotherapy)
Oncologist, Howrah
Fibroadenoma is a common occurrence in young females. The treatment of fibroadenoma is surgery. However if it is not producing any symptoms or size of the lump is not too lage to cause cosmetic problems, surgery is not required. However if you are not going for surgery, it is better to confirm your diagnosis by an fnac.
