How do I remove pan masala stains from my teeth without going to the dentist. I want some DIY tips.
Dear lybrate-user, if you really want your teeth sparkling white, then you must visit dentist for ultrasonic teeth cleaning and polishing. Please if possible quit pan masala eating habit, because it may cause mouth or throat cancer. God bless you.

My wisdom teeth is coming and causing lot of pain please suggest me what can I do.

My wisdom teeth is coming and causing lot of pain please suggest me what can I do.
Wisdom teeth come till 21 years of age. If it doesn't come out or partially come out then they cause problems in chewing due to pain as there is inflammation of gums surrounding the wisdom teeth. If there is no relief by mouthwashes and painkillers then they have to be removed either normally or surgically depending on the position of wisdom teeth in mouth. An x ray is usually required to have a look at position of roots in the bone surrounding the tooth. After diagnosing the problem dentist will give you appointment for removal of the tooth concerned. Dentist might prescribe you some antibiotics too depending upon the severity of infection.

It's good that you have decided to see a dentist soon as your present dental condition warrants prompt dental care. Until you see your dentist, to manage this acute and severe pain do the following: Take Combiflam tablet 3 times a day after every meal. Combiflam is a combination drug containing ibuprofen 400 mg and paracetamol 325 mg, therefore it works by synergistic action of both the drugs to relieve pain and inflammation. Also get Listerine mouthwash and immediately start using it twice daily, that should keep the infection in check for a while which will be helpful in controlling pain. Also apply ice packs on the outside of your cheek. Avoid very hot, cold, and sweet foods and drinks.

Teeth are broken fully at age 23years old. At now rct cap is right suggestion for me?

If the tooth breaks, have the tooth contoured. Fill the crack in. Place a crown on your tooth. If the tooth has been badly damaged and the nerve or pulp is exposed, the dentist may have to perform a root canal to save the tooth. If the tooth has been severely damaged, it may have to be extracted.

For Caviies : Having cavities is not a serious problem at all. Cavities which are not too deep can be excavated and be restored by a dental cement. Cavities that are very deep can be cured by root canal treatment followed by crown ( cap ). For better prevention of cavities , 1- Follow proper brushing technique. 2- Brush twice a day 3-clean your teeth immediately every time after you eat fiid or liquids. 4- Undergo scaling ( cleaning of teeth) at the interval of every 5-6 months. 5- Visit dentist for regular oral cavity check up every 4 months for the early diagnosis and prevention of dental diseases. For Bleeding Gums: Due to food deposit onto tooth surfaces and into the gingiva, gingiva gradually got infection and becomes swollen and inflamed, results in bleeding of gums... First of all undergo scaling (cleaning of teeth) by a dentist - Use proper brushing technique. - Brush twice a day which is most important (at night specifically just before sleep and avoid any food or liquid except water when you finish your brush at night) - After each meal (i. E breakfast, lunch, dinner and any time when you take snacks) rub your finger on all tooth surfaces inside and outside and than do forcefull gargles 2-3 times. Jay Swaminarayan.

I suffered with a bad breath. I have consulted many Doctors in Pune. People around me can feel this problem but Doctor says there is no problem. Right from my mother, my friends, colleagues and everybody else talking to me can sense it strongly. I am about to marry. But due to this problem I am in such a condition where I am not able to talk to anybody about this. I just don't understand what to do. What could be the another reasons behind bad breath or could you please suggest me a dentist or the hospital where the special treatment for the bad breath is available? I am not at all addicted to anything. I have tried everything like tooth cleaning, tongue cleaning, flossing, using mouth washes etc. I am so much frustrated with this problem. I am feeling no joy in living. Please help.

If you wear dentures, remove them at night and clean to get rid of bacterial buildup from food and drink. Drink plenty of water and swish cool water around in your mouth. This is especially helpful to freshen “morning breath.” Brush after every meal and floss, preferably twice a day. Replace your toothbrush every two to three months. Arrange regular dental checkups and cleanings. Scrape your tongue each morning with a tongue scraper or spoon to decrease the bacteria, fungi, and dead cells that can cause odor. Hold the tip of the tongue with gauze to pull it forward in order to clean the back of the tongue. Chew a handful of cloves, fennel seeds, or aniseeds. Their antiseptic qualities help fight halitosis-causing bacteria. Chew a piece of lemon or orange rind for a mouth- freshening burst of flavor. (Wash the rind thoroughly first.) The citric acid will stimulate the salivary glands—and fight bad breath. Chew a fresh sprig of parsley, basil, mint, or cilantro. The chlorophyll in these green plants neutralizes odors. Try a 30-second mouthwash rinse that is alcohol-free (unike many off-the-shelf products). Mix a cup of water with a teaspoon of baking soda (which changes the pH level and fights odor in the mouth) and a few drops of antimicrobial peppermint essential oil. Don’t swallow it! (Yields several rinses.) Or try this recipe from 500 TIME-TESTED HOME REMEDIES AND THE SCIENCE BEHIND THEM: CRUNCH IT Raw crunchy foods clean the teeth. Apples contain pectin, which helps control food odors and promotes saliva production. Cinnamon is antimicrobial. Active cultures in yogurt help reduce odor-causing bacteria in the mouth. 1 cup apple chunks 1 cup grated carrot 1 cup diced celery ½ cup dried cranberries ½ cup crushed walnuts 3 to 5 tablespoons plain nonfat yogurt Ground cinnamon PREPARATION AND USE: Mix the apple, carrot, celery, cranberries, and walnuts together in a large bowl. Add yogurt by the tablespoon to moisten the mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon. (Serves two.) Save Your Breath!
