How Ayurveda Can Help You Treat Back Pain?

A painful, common condition that affects the lower part of the spine is termed as back pain. It is mostly caused by strain (muscle injury) or sprain (ligament injury). Some other causes include poor posture, improper lifting, fracture, infrequent exercise, arthritis or a ruptured disk. Usually, pain in the lower back is the only symptom.

Conventional treatment for back pain often includes
1. Traction
2. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
3. Weight control

If these treatments fail, then the only option left is surgery. Either discectomy (surgical procedure to relieve pressure in the disc by removing the gel-like substance in the disc) or foraminotomy (surgical procedure to expand the gaps through which the nerves pass) is performed.

However, conventional therapy usually has side-effects and only manages to suppress the problem, not cure it. If you seek a cure, Ayurveda is an excellent option. Usually, Ayurvedic remedies are non-invasive, natural and can be arranged at home.

Here are some great Ayurvedic treatments:
1. According to the principles of Ayurveda, imbalance in the doshas can lead to problems in the body. The goal of Ayurveda is to balance the doshas and heal the body from the inside. So a lot of Ayurvedic treatments comprise of foods that need to be consumed for the body to heal. For example, you can blend wheat, coriander powder, khuskhus powder and milk together, boil it for twenty minutes and then consume it at room temperature. This will relieve your pain.
2. Another thing you can do is fry garlic in coconut oil and then use the oil to massage over the affected areas on your back.
3. To restore the damaged dosha, daily purgation is suggested.
4. Practicing Yoga can go a long way in managing your pain as well. In Ayurveda, pain is seen as a result of exerting yourself too much, either emotionally or physically. If your spine needs strength, your mind must be strong first of all. So, firstly, your mind needs balance before you can focus on the affected areas. When doing Yoga, start with easy postures such as back-bends. Consult a yoga therapist or teacher before you start doing any yoga posture.

I got right side inflammatory sacroiliitis. Can I do weight lifting? I do not experience any pain after excessive walking or weight lifting (I do it at home). But I want some professional trainer. Plus I got HLA-B27 ve but doctors say that I do not yet have spondylitis spondylitis after reading my blood tests, MRI and X-Rays.

Hello lybrate user, the condition what you are talking about is known as sero-negative arthritis. It is a systemic arthritis involving many joints in the body. It includes about 4 to 5 different clinical disorders and the joints involved would depend on the particular condition that affects you. Not all patients with hla-b 27 are affected by these conditions but the risk of developing the disorder is quite high. You have said that you already have inflammatory sacroilitis, so you probably are at an increased risk. I would suggest you to continue light gymnasium activities enough for you to stay fit rather than heavy gymming which can put stresses on the inflamed joints and lead to quicker arthritis. I would also suggest you to consult a physiotherapist to maintain fully functional joints through different exercises. Hope this helps.

I suffered from fever two days back.Due to cough & cold and also running nose I took antibiotic azithromycin course for three days.Now I have recovered but I have thick cough in chest and a wheezing sound while sleeping.Can't breathe properly so not getting proper sleep.

Follow these methods to get rid of tanning: * apply lemon juice on tanned areas and leaves for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse off with cold water. You can use cucumber with lemon juice to apply on tanned area. * gently rub the slices of raw tomatoes on tanned area for 5 minutes and then clean with water. * mix one teaspoon of curd with one teaspoon of fuller' s earth (multani mitti) mix and apply it on face for 5 - 7 minutes and then rinse of with water. * apply rose water on tanned area.

What to do when by breasts are getting in big size. I want it to b in normal size.

Exercising is always good and this makes your body firm and devoid of flab. The best exercises are cardio exercises like running, jogging and cycling. Apart from cardiovascular training when you are planning to reduce breast size you must add definite strength training exercises too to your fitness regime, as this helps in building and toning of your pectoral muscles that is chest muscles and firms the breast tissue as well. Bench press and pushups are best for your breast muscles and they are simple as well you can do it twice a week in gym or at home as well. The only thing you need to be careful about is the weights you carry, do not go for heavy weight as this will only lead to building up your muscles and makes you look broader and heavier. Below I have listed down some best exercises that will help you Reduce breast eventually  Pushups  Dips  Barbell Bench Press  Pec Deck Butterflys Using a Pec Deck machine, seat yourself in it accordingly. Perform the exercise by squeezing your forearms and elbows in together so that you virtually touch them together at the peak of the movement. Be sure to really squeeze your pecs at the peak of this movement for a one-count. Return to the start position and repeat.  Decline Dumbbell Flyes Position yourself on a decline bench, flat on your back. Have your spotter hand you each dumbbell. When you begin this movement, you want your arms to be stretched out wide to your sides with your elbows slightly bent and your palms facing inward, toward one another. When you lift the dumbbells up together, visualize hugging a giant tree trunk. At the peak of the movement, really squeeze your pecs together for a one-count. Be sure to lower the dumbbells in a slow and controlled fashion. Repeat this movement for as many repetitions as you can until failure. Remember to always use a spotter when performing this and almost every other free weight exercise! With all this you must take care of your diet too – eat healthy and apt food , do not go for crash diet as it may lead to weakness as you have taken up a exercise plan and you need to take some calories to burn them. Big size Breasts although attract a lot of attention- they may cause you embarrassment sometimes too so to avoid physical and mental pain from your big bust you must stick to some given food choices: 1. Fruits – Fruit diet is what is always recommended, a bowl full of fruits that are rich in nutrients and water content should be your first preference. Fruits contain antioxidants that help you reduce weight and remain healthy. This will help you maintain your body fat proportion and thus a natural way to reduce breast fat. 2. Vegetables- Having lot of vegetables is also recommended as like fruits Vegetables are also good source of nutrients and antioxidants that keep you metabolically active. Being active means you will not tend to put on weight and managing weight is the key to your over grown bust. Veggies like Spinach, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower etc. that have no starch are best. 3. Fish- best protein source- For your daily protein source you must rely on fish only this is the lowest calorie protein source. This will help your muscles in getting healthier and toned. Fats are minimal in fish. Fishes like Tuna, trout &salmon are best to use. 4. Nuts- nuts are also source of energy and necessary antioxidants and nutrients which are necessary for a female body to cope up with everything. Best nuts that you must include in your diet are walnut, almond and Brazilian nuts along with macadamia nuts that are neither salted nor coated with sugar. The intake of nuts helps you maintain healthy metabolism again the key to weight management. The food management is an important part. If you have a healthy diet you tend to manage weight and have less body fat which leads to automatic and natural reduction of breast. This regime if combines with exercise works best.

1.Use amla (gooseberry) juice on scalp and also to drink. 2.Mix curry leaves with coconut oil and heat up and let it cool. Wheat Germ oil to massage your head at night. You can also put some fenugreek powder in the oil, heat the oil a bit and apply it on scalp for hairfall, whitening and dandruff. 3.Apply hair packs like Egg with Yogurt, Banana. 4.Have lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in Vitamin C. 5.Protein is the most important element for maintaining hair health. Make sure your diet in protein rich sources like eggs, fish, chicken, soyabean, sprouts, pulses and grains 6.Zinc, iron & copper promote healthy hair. Some sources of this are – eggs, whole grains, all types of seeds like flaxseed, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, Dry fruits and nuts etc.

It is absolutely normal for body to get cool after exercise. It is a normal mechanism of the body to get rid of the extra that was produced in the body during exercise. And as for the pain in stomach, avoid eating or drinking anything immediately after gym. Wait for 10-15 minutes before eating anything.
