Hello,

Hello lybrate-user Discoloration (yellow/brown patches) on teeth can be due to a variety of reasons. Broadly they are categorized as Extrinsic & Intrinsic causes. Discolouration of teeth occurring after the eruption of teeth due to the use of tobacco products, pan, tea-coffee etc. Are called as “Extrinsic stains” and they can easily be removed by the dentist. However some stains which are present on the tooth since its eruption in the mouth and called as “Intrinsic stains” cannot be removed from the tooth surface. In our country it is commonly seen in localities with high fluoride content in water. However the way to get over the problem is to either go for Laminates or undergo Crowning of the tooth. Please consult your dentist for proper advice.

I have a teeth problem all over the mouth and sensitivity problem also available.
The type of treatment you have for toothache /sensitivity/swelling will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache / sensitivity/swelling can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed.

Hi take ginger tea mixed with 2-3 crushed garlic cloves. Massaging the chest with warm sesame oil mixed with salt helps to loosen the phlegm deposited in the chest, especially, when followed with steam inhalation. Take shwas kuthar ras twice a day. Pranacharya asthamin capsule 1-1 twice a day. And pranacharya shwas vikarasav 2-2 tsf twice a day. 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Take hot water steam.

Requirements may depends on the age, complaint, duration of the treatment & affordability. Cost of cosmetic dentistry (braces) varies with dentist. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Hi lybrate-user. Until the tooth involved is treated the pain will remain. We need to treat the cause of your pain. Taking painkillers is only a temporary solution which as you have rightly said provide 4-5 hours of relief I do not recommended prolonged use of pain killers as they may lead to gastric irritation which will only increase your problems. Get treated by a dentist at the earliest.

Although excessive saliva is not too common, there are a number of conditions that can cause it - some harmless, others more serious. It is possible that your saliva problems are just a result of the way you speak. Some people speak faster or slower than others, just as some people blink more often, breathe faster, or have a more rapid heartbeat. This may just be what's normal for you. Since it is negatively affecting your life, I suggest your problem can be ignored. However there are medical conditions that causes excessive salivation injection glycopyrrolate reduces secretions in the mouth, throat, airway, and stomach.

From your above mentioned symptoms it sounds like you have a problem of excessive salivation. It can be caused by many factors like vitamin deficiency, gastric problems, excessive starch intake, mouth ulcers, oral infections, certain medications, certain high metals in body and may be due to inability of clearance. Inability of clearing a saliva itself has may cause tonsil infections or underlying systemic disease. Brushing and using mouthwashes can help to some extent but permanent relief will be after treating the cause. So its better to consult a dentist or physician for proper treatment.

I have crak on my teeth and my age is just 19 years old then what you say I need to change it or just stay with it.
Crack in the tooth is not normal. So get a xray done and make sure that you get it treated so that it shouldn't get worst. I think dentist will advice for root canal therapy and a cap for that tooth. So get it done and avoid bone loss in that tooth region.

Gingivitis (Gum DIsease)

BDS
Dentist, Jodhpur
Gingivitis (Gum DIsease)
Gingivitis is an early gum disease. It affects the surface layers of the gum, particularly where the gum meets the tooth. At this stage, there is no damage to the deeper parts of the gums, teeth or bone.

The signs of gingivitis are:
1. Bleeding gums, especially when brushing or eating
2. Redness and swelling of the gum.

The good news is that gingivitis can be reversed.
You might think it is best to stop brushing if your gums are red or puffy. Try to keep brushing, as this will get rid of the bacteria and plaque that is causing the problem. Soon the gums should look and feel better. If not, see your dentist for proper treatment.

Although no" cure" is known to exist, some centers have very successful therapies, including state-of-the-art lasers. These therapies can be broadly divided into" surgical" and" non-surgical. Surgical removal of the papillomas is the standard of care today. They will not go away with a pill or an antibiotic. Surgical removal also provides a specimen for the pathologist to analyze for the presence of any pre-cancer or cancer. The goal of any surgical procedure is to remove as much of the papillomatosis as possible without scarring the vocal cords, which may result in irreversible hoarseness. Too aggressive of a surgical procedure can result in a voice that is worse than before surgery. On the other hand, insufficiently aggressive surgery is not worth having if too much papillomatosis is left behind. Removal of papillomas usually takes place under general anesthesia in an operating room. Once the patient is fully asleep, a special scope holds open the mouth until the throat can be seen under a microscope (see photograph below). The involved areas should be carefully inspected and mapped out. A biopsy is generally taken, especially if an area looks suspicious. A combination of lasers, micro-instruments and injections are used to treat the involved areas. In advanced centers, the ideal laser to treat papillomas is the ktp laser.
