1. Maintain good oral hygiene, brushing twice daily n flossing. 2. Rinse oral cavity every time you eat something 3. Mouthwash may help better 4. In between try chewing some flavoured chewing gums, elachi etc 5. Also, use a good tongue scraper to clean tongue on daily basis.

B.D.S
Dentist,
Brushing, flossing and rinsing your mouth with an antibacterial rinse can help prevent decay and gum problems. Chewing sugar-free gum after a meal can also protect by increasing saliva flow, which naturally washes bacteria away and neutralizes acid.

Sad to know that your suffering but its good if you have quit that habit. Now depending upon severity there are treatments for this potentially malignant condition. At extreme it can be perfectly treated by laser. Medicines and exercise will work only in few eary stage cases. You can consult me for complete details and duration.

Dr. I am having a mouth ulcer at the end of my lower wisdom tooth on left side of jaw. It doesn't heal. And gets worse if I have constipation or acidity .I can't eat any spicy food from that side. Should I remove my wisdom tooth. Or the Dr. has prescribed me turmax tablet for ten days. Please guide.

BDS
Dentist, Bhavnagar
your ulcer could be because of irregular angulation of the third molar you should get it recontoured or reshaped so that edges will not impinge into cheeks and further damage can be prevented. Use topical gel for relieving ulcer and honey. For acidity, start medicines, drink plenty of water and cold milk. Thank you.

You shld rush down to dentist and get it fixed. If it is just a part of the tooth you just have to get simple procedure called tooth bonding. If it has reached till nerves then you mite required root canal treatment. Dentist may take xray for further diagnosis.

MDS - Prosthodontist and Implantologist, Root canal certificate, BDS
Dentist, Noida
One of the most common reasons for bleeding gums is gingivitis. In easy terms, gingivitis is inflammation (swelling) of gums. It is mostly dude to the accumulation of plaque over a long period. The plaque becomes hard is causes inflammation leading to bleeding when you brush or eat anything hard. You should immediately see a dentist to get a round of scaling (cleaning) done.

Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Changing the toothbrush alone donot keeps your teeth clean. All toothpaste have nearly similar ingredients like Abrasives, Fluorides, Surfactants, Antibacterial agents, Flavourants, Remineralizers, Fluoride, Diethylene glycol, Triclosan etc. Only the wrong brushing technique that we follow harms our teeth and gums. So consult your dentist, learn proper brushing technique, Brush your teeth twice a day, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush to protect your teeth and gums from plaque and calculus. Floss your teeth inter dentally once a day. Consume a healthy diet rich in vegetables and lean protein. Reduce your intake of sugary foods and beverages. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Drink plenty of fluoridated tap water. Drink not consume alcohol drinks. Don’t smoke.

How the mode of replacing missing teeth have slowly transformed in these 15 years.
The same patient pics shared 3 days ago with an implant replacement for single tooth on the upper L side. This patient has crown and bridges on R side and a dental implant on L side.
The way dentistry is evolving. Newer concepts and techniques.

I had a very severe pain in my teeth whenever I brush I feel the pain and the pain will stop after the brushing. So please give me a best suggestion to me for this and which tooth paste should I have to use for this. Thank you.

Dentist, Coimbatore
The pain you are talking about is mostly due to deposits in your gums around teeth. You need a professional cleaning by a dentist. Brush twice daily.

My mouth not open due to tobbaco. But I left this habit since last 2 years. Now I want open my mouth with full length. Please assist me for medicine.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Quit habits strictly. Seems like you have oral submucous fibrosis (osmf). Kindly consult an oral & maxillo facial surgeon in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need conservative or surgical management for mouth opening depending upon the stage of osmf. Advise full mouth opening, ballooning exercise & side to side movement of the jaw. Wrap 25 to 30 ice-cream sticks, make a bundle, put it between upper & lower front teeth for 15 minutes thrice a day increase 1 sticks each day.
