Please tell me some effective toothpastes or home remedies to get rid of gum bleeding.
There are so many causes of bleeding gums - - brushing too hard - poor oral hygiene. - vitamin deficiency - taking blood thinners or other medications - bleeding or clotting disorders - mouth sores - other medical problems, including diabetes, heart disease, leukemia or scurvy few advice to stop bleeding gums-- - visit to a dentist for professional cleaning once in a year - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth.

Hello sir, I am having a wisdom tooth pain what to do reduce the pain any medicine you recommend.

Hello sir, I am having a wisdom tooth pain what to do reduce the pain any medicine you recommend.
Wisdom teeth usually make their appearance between the ages of 17 and 21, though it's possible for them to push through earlier or later. Referred to as your "third molars, these four teeth begin to push through the skin like any other tooth, which can cause pain. However, wisdom teeth are much more likely to grow in at an incorrect angle – even sideways – causing impaction that can radiate this pain to the teeth in front of it. Kindly get it extracted as soon as possible.

I have been suffering this below problem from last year. My cheeks are paining when I am watching tv working on my laptop watching movies. I don' t know why. Please suggest me doctor. I went to dental specialist he cleaned my teeth and send me. I scanned my cheeks it leaves me nothing.

Dentist, Raipur
While watching tv or working on the laptop are your teeth in constant contact knowingly or unknowingly. If yes then it is not the cheeks that are paining but your tmj which is the joint holding both the jaws that pains. Do you also feel sensitivity in your teeth?

Commonly because of poor oral hygiene causes bad breathing. Every six month visit dentist for Scaling treatment & a very course of medicine. Clean your mouth after food. Brush properly twice daily with proper tooth paste. Some time use mouth wash. If Caries or Ulcer is there in mouth then get the treatment. Drink sufficient water.

Hi lybrate-user. If you have a generalised gap in your teeth I mean if you have gap present in between each and every tooth then go for a fixed Orthodontic treatment (braces) once you are above 21 years of age. Coming to one missing tooth .You have two options for that. Either you can go for an implant or a bridge. Implant would be a better option but it's a little bit costlier as compared to bridge. In bridge the adjacent two teeth will be compromised as the bridge will take support of the adjacent teeth. I hope you understand the concept of bridge.

Gingivitis caused by the inflammation of the gums is one of the mild form of gum diseases. It can easily be reversed with daily brushing and flossing and getting dental cleaning done regularly.

Dear doctors, before listen my disease I want to tell that every doctors takes it very lightly but sometimes come in my mind to commits suicide because of this disease. My disease is oral related: 1. Inside my upper lips always I feels like a stripe and a bit swell also. Its make to uncomfortable. And always has to grope there from my tongue. 2. My other disease is between the both uper middle teeth, gums is swell and its makes me always suck air with help of tongue. Since last two year I am facing this problem. I am 28 year s/w engineer. I went to dentist, skin specialist, general physician. They cleen my teeth, suggest to change tooth brush in every 3 month. And skin docter gives me 3 month medicine and injection also. But no comes with relief. Please help me.

Hi I think the stripe that you feel is probably a normal structure called the frenum. This structure is present in everyone; maybe somewhat more prominent in some people than in others. I would like you to relax and make a conscious effort to avoid probing the area with your tongue. If you can retrain your tongue, this problem should take care of itself. If you are particularly uncomfortable, you can discuss the feasibility of excising the frenum. You will need to see an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for this. As for the other problem, that too could be either an unusually pronounced frenum extending between the two upper incisors, or probably another normal structure called the incisive papilla. If its the former, the fenum excision should take care of this as well. If it is the latter, the options are somewhat restricted, as outright excision may be less feasible.
