Hi .Lybrate user. There is no specific quantity to be mentioned for flax seeds and sunflower seeds. But one can take 1 teaspoon of them. One can take 4-5 soaked almonds in a day.

I want to reduce weight ,i am doing cycling every day upto 18 kms. But I donna want to eat because if I eat less ,it says I have taken less nutrients so so good diet what should I eat ,basically I am from chennai ,Tamil nadu, so please say diet plans and how many hours should I sleep. Does sleeping includes in a diet?

Hi, hope you are doing well. It's good to hear that you are doing cycling daily. To loose weight it is not compulsory to stop eating. You can even start eating in small meals and that will help you to loose weight as well. If you are eating properly, to keep you you fit, sleep is important as well.

I am 28 year old and suffering from thyroid problem and not able tk reduce weight as am taking medicine 25 mg of thyronorm. Please suggest some diet wre I can reduce my weight as doing gym and I have reduced 20 kg but now am not able to. As am hardcore vegetarian wre I can not eat egg also so do we require to take protein I heard thyroid people can not hav protein Pls help me with this Thank you.

Hi. lybrate-user!I hope you are doing well. I can understand that you are doing gym and lost weight also. But I think it is happening due to less intake of protein in your diet. Being a vegetarian person like carbohydrates, proteins is also imp for our body to perform vital functions. Include protein sources like paneer, all types of whole and split pulses in your diet, milk products to make a balance. But as per thyroid requirements you need to avoid soya protein from your diet only and vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and tofu (soya protein) etc. As they interfare with certain hormones and leads to increase your T3 and T4 levels. Try to follow a balanced diet, meditate and exercise to combat stress that will also maintain your thyroid levels and helps to loose you weight also. Good luck!

Hi. You can prevent acidity by avoiding heavy pulses from your diet like rajma, chana, chole and if you are taking tea, coffee or milk in excess amount try to avoid these things. Avoid dishes prepared from besan. Do regular exercise and you can consume buttermilk or lemon water. Don't skip meals. Take an appropriate time for your meals to prevent acidity.

Hello, I am 37 years old. I exercise regularly and eat moderately. Yet I am unable to loose weight. I am at 61.7 kgs now and would like to be 55-57 kgs. I feel I am broadening especially at the hips. Could there be a reason for this?

Hi. Hope you are doing well. Doing exercise and making yourself fit is a continuous activity, but with time we need changes in our dietary and activity routine also. You can change your activity from basic yoga to cardio exercises, brisk walk, cycling and zoomba. If you are engage in sitting activities more oftenly ,take breaks and start to move around to burn your calories and take make urself active. Indulge in a routine of good water intake and consume high fibrous things like salads, fruits soaked nuts like almonds and walnuts to boost up your metabolism. Start with daily routine of taking soaked jeera water in the morning to increase your metabolism.
