Hello. Firstly I want to tell you that as being on higher side on weight. Maintain patience level, as it will take time to reduce your weight. But with certain modifications in your diet and physical activity balance you can loose your weight. Initially start walking in the morning at least for 15 minutes. Afterwards you can increase it up to 20 minutes and then to 45 minutes. Diet also is the major important part to loose weight. Stop eating junk outside burger, tikki, pasta, Maggi etc. Prefer home made food only. Include regular meals in your daily diet. You should have at least 6.7 meals in a day. Cutting down your major mealsinto smaller sections will help you definitely. Drink at least 10-12 glasses of water. Include wheat bran in your chapatis like you can add 3 tsp of wheat bran in 10 tsp of chapati. This will help you to reduce your cholesterol levels. Include plenty of seasonal fruits and vegetables in your meals. That will increase your fibre intake and helps you to loose weight as well.

Hello. You can start taking foods like oats, Dalia,chokar ki roti, all green vegetables, seasonal fruits, green tea in your diet. Drink green tea twice in a day at least. I am sharing a sample plan with you so that you have an idea. Also quantity of your food is very important. Breakfast- 2 medium katori Dalia/ upma/ poha with one cup of milk/ tea mid morning- 1 bowl of fruits salad like apple, papaya, pear, jamun etc. Lunch- 2 medium size chapati with medium katori Dal or curd and medium bowl salad evening tea- 1 cup of Jasmine tea or green tea with one fist of roasted chana or murmura dinner- 2 medium katori of mix veg Dalia and veg (seasonal )/ Dalia with milk/ muesli with milk/ wheat flakes with milk post dinner- 1 cup of milk with 4 almonds soaked this way you can manage your meals include atleast 12 glasses of water in a day. Start with yoga initially and brisk walking that will help you to maintain your weight.

Hi lybrate-user. Intially don't take stress. This condition takes time to settle down and it will need your consistent efforts. So you can start with some sort of physical activity, yoga or cardio exercises slowly. Side by side include steamed vegetable salad especially with your lunch and dinner. Don't skip your meals. Try to follow a 5 time eating pattern in a day that covers all food groups like fruits, vegetables, cereals and pulses and diary products and also include non veg like chicken and fish or boiled eggs. Include good amount of fluids like buttermilk, coconut water, lemonade (homemade). Don't take late dinners as this is the reason for indigestion and increased weight.

Hello lybrate-user. Hope you are doing good. First of all to start a diet prepare yourself with some brisk walk on daily basis at least for 30 minutes. Both physical activity and diet go hand in hand. Start taking 10-12 glasses of water daily. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables daily to improve fibre content in your body. Stop eating out and munching junk foods and eat home made food as much possible. You can contact me for further assistance on weight loss.

Hello, try to take food sources from your diet like for Omega 3 add roasted flax seeds and walnuts in your diet. If you are a non vegetarian add chicken, fish and eggs in your diet to increase vitamin B in your meals and for vitamin C definitely include citrus fruits in your diet like amla, guava, orange, lemon etc. Hope it helps!

Hi .Lybrate user. There is no specific quantity to be mentioned for flax seeds and sunflower seeds. But one can take 1 teaspoon of them. One can take 4-5 soaked almonds in a day.

Hi, hope you are doing well. It's good to hear that you are doing cycling daily. To loose weight it is not compulsory to stop eating. You can even start eating in small meals and that will help you to loose weight as well. If you are eating properly, to keep you you fit, sleep is important as well.

Hi. lybrate-user!I hope you are doing well. I can understand that you are doing gym and lost weight also. But I think it is happening due to less intake of protein in your diet. Being a vegetarian person like carbohydrates, proteins is also imp for our body to perform vital functions. Include protein sources like paneer, all types of whole and split pulses in your diet, milk products to make a balance. But as per thyroid requirements you need to avoid soya protein from your diet only and vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower and tofu (soya protein) etc. As they interfare with certain hormones and leads to increase your T3 and T4 levels. Try to follow a balanced diet, meditate and exercise to combat stress that will also maintain your thyroid levels and helps to loose you weight also. Good luck!

Hi. You can prevent acidity by avoiding heavy pulses from your diet like rajma, chana, chole and if you are taking tea, coffee or milk in excess amount try to avoid these things. Avoid dishes prepared from besan. Do regular exercise and you can consume buttermilk or lemon water. Don't skip meals. Take an appropriate time for your meals to prevent acidity.
