Hello lybrate-user the kind of pain your parents experiencing are because of aging, it is generally called as osteoarthritis. If its on its early stage it could be curable with proper physiotherapy and if you want permanent relief you could go for stem cell treatment, if joints are deteriorated than joint replacement is the only option left. Hi lybrate-user, Hip pain may have different causes but it seems she is suffering from Osteoarthritis RT hip joint. Again the treatment depends upon which stage it is diagnosed by physical exam, radiological finding, blood exam etc. So, consult a Orthopaedician to rule out the exact cause. Regards Arunav.

I had a left knee injury in November month, my knee got hit against a wall. It did not pain after a week from the injury. But when I started playing cricket on the first day itself I felt the pain again, it is paining since then. I consulted a bone setter and got temporary plasters for 2 times but it did not showed any much improvement. I got x-rayed (AP/LAT) and the radiologist report said -1 visualised bones show no obvious abnormality 2-joint space is normal 3-adjacent soft tissue is unremarkable. What should I do. Please advice.

Hi it's a case of knee surrounding muscles weakness. Need to strengthen all surrounding groups with free hand exercises of knee to slow progressive exercises. Knee quads, hams and rotators need to be strengthened. But first evaluation have to be done whether really those muscles strengthening is required or not. Later balance training is required. Initially we need to reduce to the pain by tapping or knee supporter with straps. Than exercises get an online consultation done to get accurate diagnosis and get the treatment plan. Regards.

Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Apply cold pack for 10 min every day and start calf muscle attaching exercise it's definitely help you because it happen due to calf muscle tightness.

Ok as your requirement avoid all exercise for 3 days and do rest tk physiotherapy treatment for few days swd ift ultrasonic therapy it will help you and giving you relief after 3 days you can start spine extension exercise with treatment. For future avoid forward bending, heavyweight, long sitting and standing keep your posture straight.

My right arm has stopped working properly for the last 25 days. L feel difficulties in wearing on or off my shirt or kurta. I can't hold glass of water with my right hand. I have consulted homeopathic doctor who said that I have my frozen shoulder. The orthopaedic doctor just gives pain killers. I am taking daily light exercises but no relief I have got till date.

Kindly show me your x rays. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Do hot fomentation any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days do neck & shoulder exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

Knee injury prevention tips:

4 tips to minimize long-term knee damage and heal faster

- Correct muscular imbalance: Most overuse injuries of the knee develop gradually due to muscular imbalances and poor movement patterns. Your physiotherapist can show you corrective exercises to address the muscle imbalances and improve the way you move.
- Strengthen your hips: Strengthening your hips and improving core muscle strength will reduce the risk of adversely loading your knee joints. Stretching the muscles that attach into your hips/knees/ankles will also minimize compression of these joints. Your physiotherapist can show you how.
- Protect your joints: If you have any degenerative changes in your knees (e. G. Osteoarthritis) your physiotherapist can show you how to protect your joints during activities of daily living, prescribe exercises to improve the strength of supporting muscles, advise you on safe forms of exercise, and assess your footwear.
- Correct movement patterns: Poor movement patterns during sports (e. G. Incorrect landings during jumping) greatly increase the risk of traumatic knee injuries. Your physiotherapist can teach you how to move properly and minimize this risk.

Dear Sir, I met with an bike accident and broke my left hand (near wrist) and got treatment (Titanium implant fixed) at Ganga Hospital Coimbatore (It happens 4 months ago). My problem is the stiffness on the wrist. Event after 4 months of surgery, i was not able to use the hand normally. If any physios?, medicines? What is your suggestion?
