Hello. Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe's Alpha-Coff and Glyzyrrhiza Glabra 1x - both thrice a day daily for 4 days. Management: - Avoid cold drinks and fried food, take healthy food. -Avoid exposure to Air-conditioner or cold air (wrap a warm stole or muffler around neck). -Avoid excessive or rough use of your voice/ shouting. -Gargle with warm water and salt 3 times a day and take steam-inhalation once before going to bed. Home Remedies for Cough: -Stir some into some hot tea for comforting cough relief. You can also eat a spoonful of honey before bed to help calm coughs. -Warm saltwater gargles help moisturize your throat, which can quiet coughs. -Drink peppermint tea to help relieve coughs. -Brew a eucalyptus tea by steeping a few fresh or dried eucalyptus leaves in hot water for 15 minutes. Drink this tea up to 3 times a day to help soothe a sore throat and calm coughs. -Make a hot ginger tea to help soothe a chronic cough. -Turmeric is a traditional cough remedy that many people have found effective for coughs. Try mixing half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of warm milk. You can also try turmeric powder and a teaspoon of honey for dry cough.

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. Well, your current treatment seems to be on the right track. Additionally, you can apply a paste made of a mixture of 1 gm of fresh turmeric powder and 1 gm of fresh tulsi powder, 4 to 5 times daily. Take care to not eat or drink anything for the next 15 minutes post applying the paste on the oral mucosa. This is expected to significantly reduce most of the symptoms that you are presented with because of your oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF), including difficulty in opening mouth and also burning sensations, if any. Continue the good habit of consuming a healthy & balanced diet and a good oral hygiene. Do ensure to have a regular checkup of your condition without fail. For your gas issue, you can take 10 ml of 'gasex' (Himalaya) syrup twice daily after food. OSMF do have a chance to progress to oral cancer unless treated properly. Hope this helps. Do take care and all the very best. Sincerely,

Mother is suffering from thyroid and asthma what food recommend. With this whether.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Mother is suffering from thyroid and asthma what food recommend. With this whether.
She as to avoid cold foods and only warm foods and water .Continue medication One of the easiest ways to support thyroid function is to make sure that the body has nutrient-dense sources of energy. While many diets and weight loss programs tell us that sugar makes us fat or that the body does not need carbohydrates to be healthy, we know that health is all about balance! At Body Ecology, we encourage each other to practice the Principle of 80/20. This means that while 80% of a meal is made up of fermented vegetables, non-starchy vegetables, and sea vegetables, we suggest that the remaining 20% of a meal is: A starchy vegetable A grain-like seed such as quinoa, millet, buckwheat, or amaranth An animal protein such as meat, eggs, or fermented dairy Fruit is another source of glucose that is also brimming with antioxidants and phytonutrients. When just starting out on the Body Ecology Diet, make sure to stick with sour fruits, such as: Lemons Limes Berries Kiwi Grapefruit Green apples During the fall season and early winter, sour fruits like green apples, cranberries, and pomegranates are easy to find. They combine best with a protein fat, such as fermented dairy or nuts. Or, simply enjoy fruit alone and on an empty stomach.

Bronchitis - Ways Ayurveda Can Help You Treat It!

Ayurveda is effective because it treats the root of the problem in order to treat it. According to this ancient system of medicine, bronchitis, which is infection of the windpipe, is known as ‘kasa roga’. According to Ayurveda, bronchitis happens primarily due to impaired digestion. This is the reason why Ayurveda treats bronchitis through drugs that have the ability to treat both the lungs and the digestive system. Chronic bronchitis is also caused due to airborne allergens like cigarette smoke and pollution.

The main symptom of bronchitis is chronic inflammation of the bronchial tubes or the windpipes that carry air to the lungs. This infection causes profuse secretion of phlegm. Other notable symptoms are chest pain, chronic cough, fever, poor digestion and loss of appetite, and shortness of breath. Children, senior citizens and those with an impaired immune system are extremely prone to bronchitis. If left untreated for long, bronchitis can manifest as tuberculosis. Another disease bronchitis can mutate into is bronchial asthma.

Ayurvedic treatment

  1. Haldi or turmeric, commonly used Ayurvedic spices in the world, is the most common home remedy for bronchitis. One can take a teaspoonful of haldi mixed in a glass of milk in the night for relief. Haldi is more effective if taken on an empty stomach.
  2. The juice of vasa is also an excellent remedy for bronchitis. One can take it twice or thrice daily.
  3. Ginger juice and honey mixed in a cup of warm water is also good for easy expectoration of phlegm.
  4. One can also mix equal quantities of dried ginger, black pepper and long pepper with honey and take a teaspoonful thrice every day.
  5. Tulsi or holy basil is a great cure for bronchitis. Water boiled with tulsi leaves brings instant relief to a sore throat. One can use this water for gargling too.
  6. In case of a congested throat ‘khadiradi vati’ gives effective relief, due to catechu that helps relieve congestion.

Ayurvedic medicines
Shringyadi churna, kaphaketu, kaphachintamani, sitopaladi churna, pravala pisthi, rasa sindur, talisadi churna, haridra khand and vasarishta are a few effective Ayurvedic medicines for bronchitis.

What else?

  1. Protection from cold is key. Cold water and winds should be avoided. Use warm water for bathing, wear warm clothes and avoid excess humidity, dust and allergic pollen. Heavy physical exercises should also be avoided.
  2. Stay away from cold foods like curd and sour substances, fruits like bananas and guavas, and from alcohol and tobacco.
  3. Also, one should eat foods that are easy to digest. Lots of leafy vegetables will give one the vitamins and mineral required to fight bronchitis.
  4. One can also opt for Ayurvedic therapies like Vamana and Virechana to treat bronchitis. If you wish to discuss any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.
