My weight is very much and have big stomach. I wanna to be slim. I don't take fatty food. Please give me appropriate advise so that I can loose my weight. Thank you.

General Physician,
My weight is very much and have big stomach. I wanna to be slim. I don't take fatty food. Please give me appropriate ...
You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. to burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. as half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. A DIET CHART Timing Foods To Eat Calories Early Morning Lukewarm Water with Lemon 1 glass 0 Tea without Sugar + 2 Biscuits 90 Breakfast 2 Rotis + 1/2 cup Paneer Curry 330 OR Brown Bread Upma 1 plate + Milk 1 cup 300 Mid-Morning 1 Banana/1/2 cup Melon/20 Grapes 50 Lunch Brown Rice 1 cup (195 gm) + Mixed Vegetables 1/2 cup + Salad 1 bowl + Raita 1 small bowl 345 Evening Butter Milk 1 cup 35 Dinner 2 Rotis + Vegetable Soup 1 bowl + Salad 1 bowl 370 Total 1220/1190 Cal To lose weight, you must burn more calories than you consume. One pound equals 3,500 calories. If you cut 500 a day from your diet, you'll lose a pound a week. People who lose weight slowly, about 1 to 2 pounds per week, are more successful at keeping the weight off. You'll also burn additional calories if you increase your physical activity. You weight-loss plan should do all of the following: • Emphasize fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat dairy products. • Include lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts. • Contain foods low in saturated fats, avoid trans fats, and limit cholesterol and salt (sodium). • Avoid refined sugars and processed foods. Some tips to help you lose weight: • Keep a food diary. Writing down everything you eat is critical! Noting how you feel when you eat will help you identify emotional triggers that may cause you to overeat. Emotional eaters tend to overeat. • Eat when you're truly hungry rather than when you're tired, anxious or stressed. • Eat slowly. If you eat too fast, you eat more than you need to satisfy your hunger. Your brain needs time to catch up with your stomach. • Plan your meals ahead of time so you make healthy choices. When dining out, check the menu online and decide what you will order before you sit down. Ask for dressings on the side. Opt for foods that are baked, broiled or steamed versus fried or swimming in creamy sauces. Avoid chips and bread baskets—they add unnecessary calories. • Stay hydrated. People often mistake thirst for hunger. • Eat breakfast. If you skip this meal, you'll be starving by lunchtime. You'll have more difficulty making healthy choices throughout the day. • Find resources to help you keep track of your food choices and nutritional values, and that can offer additional support when you need it. Try CalorieKing.com and MyFitnessPal.com, which offer a searchable database of foods with nutritional values. Exercise for Belly Fat Not only females but also males desire to have flat belly. Read on and find about the best exercises for losing belly fat. Fight your belly fat with the right kind of exercise and the right diet. Belly fat can be effectively reduced with abdominal exercises. They help you to tone the abdominal area apart from enhancing the flexibility of the area. The most important point is that they resist the accumulation of fat around the belly region. The only thing that you must keep in mind is that you must regularly perform these exercises and be patient as nothing happens overnight. Exercises for Losing Belly Fat Some very simple but effective exercises to Lose Belly Fat Stretch 1 – Lie down on a floor mat. Position your legs vertically up and stay in this position for 5 to 15 seconds. This can be repeated thrice. Stretch 2 – Lie down on a floor mat. Stretch your legs straight. Place your hands behind your head and lock your fingers. Now raise your torso and bring it towards your knees. Stay in this position for 5 to 10 seconds and slowly return to your lying position. Repeat this for 15 times in sets of 5. Stretch on Chair – Lie down on a floor mat and position yourself with a chair so as to raise your legs on the chair. Your legs should be at 90 degree to the rest of your body. Place your hands behind your head and clasp your fingers. Now lift your torso and rise up as if you want to touch the knees. Continue for 15 minutes and repeat in sets of 3 or 4. Cycling – Lie down on a floor mat. Raise your legs and rotate them as if you are pedalling a cycle vigorously. Repeat the exercise for five minutes in sets of three.

With its ability to inhibit the growth of neoplastic cells, curcumin is king against colon cancer. In the presence of curcumin, colon cancer cells went through a process of phosphorylation, which is a complete altering of the function and activity of certain protein enzymes.

Dear Sir, I am from India. I am Senthil Murugan Roberts. My wife is suffering from severe head ache for the past 5 months. The pain spreads throughout the whole body. We have approached all the chief doctors in our place. They all said that there is nothing severe in her. But in the meantime, we have made Angio and checked whether if there is any blockage. But there is no such thing also. We have checked Ortho, Gynecologist, Endocrinologist, Neurologists, and several general physicians. But nobody has still found the problem. In the meantime, we have a Big research Institute cum Hospital namely JIPMER in our place Puducherry, India. There we have shown in all the departments and finally through one Neurologist they said that there is some problem in the eyes. So she went to the eye section (Ophthalmology) and they made several tests. And they said that there is some blood leakage in the eye. It is not from the eyes, but from the brain. And further they told nothing to my wife and simply given one B-Complex tablet along with one more tablet called Diamox 250 mg (Acetazolamide IP) for one month. And they advised my wife to come to hospital immediately if there is any emergency like sudden vision loss or if there is any kind of paralysis in the hands and limbs. So we are very confused that is there any Brain Haemorrhage? Because they said that the blood is filling in the eyes and there will be vision loss sometimes. But when we took MRI scan brain (Plain) there is no Haemorrhage. And again we took one CT Scan brain. In that also they said that there is no Haemorrhage. We are so much confused. But the pain in the brain has not reduced a single percent till now for the past 5 months. What shall we do further? Please help us in this regard and advise us a good opinion. I have enclosed the reports and the diagnosis for your ready reference. Kindly go through and save my wife's life with your valuable consultation. Yours sincerely, Senthil Murugan Roberts. Follow these tried and tested steps first. In most cases this resolves the issue. 1. First, there are a few lifestyle changes that shall help: · Lose weight if you are overweight. · Quit smoking. · Cut back your alcohol consumption, especially before sex. · Don’t use illegal drugs. · Exercise regularly. · Reduce stress. 2. Start doing Kegel Exercises The Kegel exercise is for strengthening your pelvic muscles. It is like going to the gym, but for sexual stamina. How to do it? When you pass urine, try to stop the flow of urine without your hands, just by contracting your muscles. The muscles you contract then are the pelvic muscles that are used during sex. Do not do this while urinating again, you can do this while you are sitting or standing, while working or doing other things. (It’s done while urinating only the first time, to recognise the muscles.) Once you know how to contract them try doing this a few times every day and this will strengthen them. Aim for at least three sets of 10 repetitions a day. You should see results in a few weeks!

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disorder affecting a deeper layer of skin, causing to overproduce and shed recurrently. Conventional treatment with allopathy is aimed at suppressing the reaction and controlling the itching, flaking and cracking. However, if the internal phenomena is not corrected ie. Immune response not change it will continue to produce the itching and redness and flaking, which then has to be continually controlled using steroids, ointments etc. Homeopathic treatment of psoriasis is aimed at correcting the deeper mechanism of the condition. So if the immune reaction at the dermis changes - psoriasis can be arrested, without using any ointments or steroids and gradually come out of psoriasis. It is a long and slow process but with a long lasting result and in addition, no side effects of steroids.
