It happens in perimenopausal women or around that time. You can eat more soya rich food which contains natural estrogen along with calcium. Her symptoms will go in 2-3 months time. Menses are not needed to be regularised at this age as you r already suffering from hypertension. If heavy bleeding is there then you should get sonography and pap test done.

Caring For Your Incision After Surgery

MS - General Surgery, MBBS
General Surgeon
Ask Free Question
Having a surgery, big or small, will subject your body to a certain degree of pain. Post-operative care, hence, is of paramount importance. You'll have a surgical wound where the surgeon has made an incision. To ensure that it heals quickly and to reduce the risk of an infection, it is important that you care for your wound area and keep a regular check for unusual signs and symptoms.

Let us take a step back to understand the normal process of how a wound heals. At first, there will be inflammation during the first week when blood flow to your wound increases. This is a crucial care period as your wound is still fresh. The second phase is proliferation where new blood vessels and tissue begin to grow around the area.

The third and final phase is maturation where new cells develop to strengthen the wound and soften the scar. Depending on the location and size of your wound, your surgeon may have used stitches (medically called sutures), metal clips or staples, adhesive dressing, tape or glue. Stitches, clips and staples are usually removed between three and fourteen days after your treatment. Here is how you can care for your surgical incision:

1. Change your dressing regularly: Most patients are called to the hospital at regular intervals during the first week for change of dressing two or three times. The nurse or doctor ensures a sterile environment during the process. If you find your dressing falling of late night and you can't go to the hospital, you can wash your hands thoroughly and open a new sterile dressing package and apply to your wound. At all times, touch only the edges of your old / new dressing.

2.General care for your incision site: Keep the incision site as clean and dry as possible. Keep it covered with plastic during a shower if it is on your hands or legs or take a sponge bath until you get a green signal from your doctor. Protect the incision from sunlight. Some incisions may get itchy as they heal. This is quite common, but it is important not to scratch your incision during this period.

3.Eating and drinking properly to heal quickly: Vitamin C and Proteins are important as they aid in healing of wounds. Eat a healthy and balanced diet, which includes a variety of lean meat, fish, eggs, dairy products, fruit and vegetables. Make sure that you drink enough water because if you're dehydrated, your wound may take longer to heal.

4.Look for signs of infection: The common signs of an infection are redness, swelling, unusual drainage, warmth around the incision site increased pain or tenderness at the incision, incision opens up or a fever of more than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit.

Considering the fact my sperm was out but not in contact with her. Is there any possibility that without intercourse even touching of those things may cause this?

Due to pcod hormonal imbalance which results in pimples, mood swings, irregular periods, excessive facial hair growth, chance for infertility, weight gain etc. Through homoeopathic medicines we can treat pcod very effectively without any side effects preventing surgery. Try following steps for 3 months to treat pcod naturally. Diet. Please avoid chicken and oily foods. Eat rich of vegetables and fruits and drink plenty of water. Exercise daily about 45 mins. If then not feeling better, take homoeopathic medicines which can give good results without any side effects within short period of time.

It would be better if you do, though circlage is not a 100 per cent guarantee, although it increases the chances of preventing pre term labour. But make sure you follow complete bed rest even after circlage. Good luck.

As after the ipill she bled for some days she can not be pregnant and no need for ultrasound or urine test this soon. It will come positive in urine after 19-21 days after the sex and in ultrasound at the same time if pregnancy occur. As you took double protection and she had bleeding she is not pregnant. Usg report of 12-14 mm is because of ipill.

Surgical Abortion is done beyond 7 weeks. U can visit a local gynecologist, who can prescribe medicines for abortion and it is legal in India.

All About Mastectomies

Ask Free Question
A mastectomy is surgical removal of a breast. The surgery depends on various factors and choosing a type of mastectomy best suited for an individual suffering from breast cancer requires experience and expertise. With advancing technology, there are more options available for women to opt for surgeries, which are minimally invasive and conserving in nature. Following are the various types of mastectomies and the factors, which influence them:

Types of Mastectomy

1. Total or simple mastectomy

This is a surgical procedure which involves complete removal of the breast including the nipple. The lymph nodes, which are small glands, are an important part of your immune system and are kept intact during the surgery. This form of surgery is most suitable if the cancer has not spread to the lymph nodes.

2. Preventive mastectomy

Preventive mastectomy, also known as prophylactic mastectomy, is an option for women who have a high risk of developing breast cancer. Preventive mastectomy reduces the risk of breast cancer by a huge margin. In certain cases, removal of the entire breast along with the nipple is advisable. Women who develop cancer on one breast often opt for preventive mastectomy and remove the other unaffected breast as well.

3. Partial mastectomy

Women who are in stage I or stage ii of breast cancer can choose this procedure. It is a breast conserving technique where the tumor is removed along with the tissue that surrounds it. It is followed up by radiation therapy on the remaining breast tissue, which terminates the cancer cells and stops them from spreading. There are two types of partial mastectomy, namely, lumpectomy and quadrantectomy.

4. Radical mastectomy

Although this procedure is almost out of use, it is still considered in case the cancer has spread to certain areas like the chest muscle. In this form of surgery, the breast is removed entirety along with muscles beneath it and the lymph nodes.

5. Modified mastectomy

It is a more commonly used procedure characterized by complete removal of the breast including underarm lymph nodes. The chest muscles are untouched in the procedure, therefore allowing a breast reconstruction to follow.

Factors influencing the type of mastectomy:

Age of the individual

Health in general

Size of the tumor

The spread of the tumor

The rate of progression of the tumor

Whether lymph nodes are affected or not

Since your doctor has detected ulcers on mouth of uterus, there can be a posibilty of human papilloma virus (hpv dna) infection / any other finding. Pap test report can be vague also which can miss lots. Go for colposcopy as suggested. May be doctor will do the procedure of cauterisation in the same sitting- burning of the ulcers. Do get an ultrasound abdomen test & blood test for hiv.
