I am taking 5-6 hour night sleep but not getting proper energy and my muscles also not increasing though I am taking exercise every morning.

Dear Lybrateuser, - To build muscles & to increase stamina have a well balanced diet with more of protein rich foods & do regular exercise - have more of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, protein rich foods such as eggs, non veg, milk & milk products like yogurt, paneer, cheese, butter milk, soya products, tofu, beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts, peas, nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pista, cashews, peanuts - include a protein rich food in each of your meals & also have as a snack in between meals to boost your protein content - do regular exercise such as jogging, swimming, play a game, do moderate weight lifting 2-3 times a week for 10-15 min, also do pushups, pull ups, squats, crunches to develop your muscles & strength.

I am 29 year old male and I suffer from uric acid problem. Can you tell me what is the right thing to do to avoid uric acid attacks?

Uric acid: normal values in the blood: men 3.5 to 7.0 mg/dl women 2.5 to 5.7 mg/dlwatch your weight. Try to lose weight slowly. Eat fresh fruit, vegetables, whole wheat products and some pulses (high in purine) every day. Enjoy low-fat milk and dairy products daily. Keep an eye on the purine content of food. Avoid offal, shellfish and crustaceans and tinned fish such as sardines in oil. Eat no more than 100g of meat, sausages, fish and poultry a day. Drink alcohol only occasionally, as it affects the elimination of uric acid. Eat low-fat food. The consumption of high-fat foods encourages weight gain. Drink at least two litres of low-calorie fluids a day. Recommended fluids are water, tea and fruit juice. To help with practical diet planning, it can help to gain advice from a qualified dietician. They will be able to clarify any questions you have and healthily and effectively reduce your values.

It depends on which part of the eye is the dot and if it is on the corneal you can get vision problem. You need an eye test.

Stop junk food on a regular basis. Decide on a day or two for junk food only if remaining 5-6 days are eaten healthy. Try to make home food interesting and take his choice for the same. Avoid giving in to tantrums. Most of the times it is us who develop the habit of junk and fast foods out of guilt or lack of time or convinience. Explain the i'll effects of junk eating and practice yourself what you preach. Try to make alternatives like chikki instead of chocolate or home made laddoo instead of pastry or pav bhaji made at home. It takes only 2-3 weeks to develop a new habit. All it needs is discipline.

You are having pain on position you may be having muscular spasm may be due to overwork and exhaustion and less water intake required for the body. Go for morning walk followed by free hand exercises regular early.

I am 40 & my wife 34, both have diabetic. My second child son 10 months old have less weight. But he is very active. Since we both have diabetic, whether any problem in growth of my son. How to increase his weight. Please give which food will increase his weight for normal growth.

Dont worry about your child. He is perfectly all right. Just give him any normal diet of his age, nothing specific. Like mashed bananas, curd, cerelac, mashed apple, papaya. To name a few.

My wife is very concern about the stretch marks on her tummy and thighs after delivery. This had emotionally impacted her and to some extent affecting our relationship. I need advice on any creams or lotions. Do not offer laser or surgical costly treatments.

Hello, for pink stretch marks: you can massage gently any good brand oil containing more percentage of vitamin e like olive oil, coconut oil, egg oil, bio-oil twice and aloe vera daily, but after completion of 1&1/2 months of giving birth (if the delivery was normal) or after 4 months (in case of caesarean section that too depends upon the condition of the stitches and the area). Make sure you are eating a nutrient based diet. Make sure that your skin is getting the proper nutrition so that it can repair and stay healthy. Drink enough water (2 litres daily), as the skin loses its elasticity when you are dehydrated. Being at a healthy weight also helps. Use vaseline, or petroleum jelly to keep the skin moisturized. Can take vitamin c & e orally. *******************if the stretch marks are white in colour, then you will have to opt for laser which can only help you to reduce it to some extent only**************************

No, only headache doesn't indicate dengue. If high grade fever severe headache body ache rashes can indicate it.
