Swine flu is caused by h1n1 virus. More serious than normal seasonal flu. It is an air borne infection and spreads through the talking/sneezing / coughing of infected individual)- normal flu- byinfluenza/h4n2 virus swine flu symptoms 1. Fever, cough 2. Nasal congestion, sore throat 3. Headache, myalgia, fatigue, dyspnoea (shortness of breath) 4. Vomiting, diarrhea 5. Pneumonia and respiratory failure (in severe cases). Prevention 1. Avoid over crowding places and avoid contact with infected patients 2. Avoid sharing food, linen, utensii with infected patient 3. Frequently wash your hands with soap and water 4. Use face mask while going to crowed places 5. When coughing orsneezing, cover your mouth/nose with tissue pape and dispose of used tissue paper promptly and carefully. Put them in a bag and throw in dust bin. 6. Clean hard surfaces like door handle, electrical switches/taps/toilet flush/telephone receivers/computer key board etc frequently. 7. Frequently touched items like mobile/telephones etc should be cleaned with disinfectant.

Thank you for the query you have not provided much information about your fever (high grade/low grade, other symptoms like cough or burning during urination, headache, rashes etc. Since your fever is persistent for 4-5 days, it is advisable that you get some blood tests done like total wbc count, malaria parasite/dual antigen and urine routine examination. Paracetamol tablets help in reducing fever, but will not deal with the cause of the fever. If your blood tests are suggestive of a bacterial infection, an antibiotic course will help. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated and you can have multivitamin tablets. Please consult you physician for a clinical examination and further management. Regards.

use budicort respules for nebulizer for your father. and give tab. sinarest it contains ( Acetaminophen+ Pseudoephedrine+ chlorpheniramine). Acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine, and pseudoephedrine is a combination medicine for throat infection and treat headache, fever, body aches, runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and sinus congestion caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu. Do gargle with warm water thrice a day. Drink warm water also. Take plenty of water, liquid diet, dalia, green veg., orange. avoid cold things, avoid cold drinks. Avoid Oily foods. If symptoms are from more days or again persist then do few tests for confirm causes of it.. i.e. CBC. welcome in lybrate.

Mostly it is because of forceful vomiting and there should not be a major issue.. Forceful vomit sometimes tears the mucous membrane of the internal throat and blood comes out.. so I don't think there is anything to worry about... If it occurs frequently then consult for examination...

Sleep is the best reliever of all stress and physical pain. Not only is it important to get sleep, but also to sleep soundly and without any disturbance. The quality matters. Here are a few tips to get better sleep: 1.It is important to maintain the same sleep schedule every single day. This helps to naturalize your body clock and get the best quality sleep. 2.Switch off all mobile phones, laptops and other electronic devices. Their artificial glow not only hampers your eyesight, but also prolongs the amount of time your body takes to relax and fall off to sleep. 3.If your back pain causes you to continually wake up in the middle of the night in discomfort, then sleep with a pillow or cushion between your legs so as to straighten out your back and relieve pent up stress. 4.The importance of your pillow can never be stressed upon enough. Your pillow should be not too fat, hard or soft. It should just about support the natural curve of your neck, so that it is perfectly aligned with the centre of your body. Correct sleeping postures are extremely important. 5.Make sure your room is nice and dark so as to stimulate the secretion of a hormone called melatonin that is regulated by light exposure. Darker the room, greater melatonin, making you more sleepy. 6.Those who exercise regularly and well are known to be fitful sleepers. Exercise well before bedtime. If required, do some light yoga or stretching exercises that promote sleep. 7.What you eat throughout the day makes a difference to the quality of your sleep. Stay away from too much caffeine, alcohol, or a heavy meal just before sleeping. They only make you stay awake for longer and may cause heartburn or stomach trouble. Don't drink too much water, or else you will be making more midnight trips to the bathroom than clocking those sleep hours. 8.Try to keep your head clear of all worries and stress when in bed. Regular meditation and deep breathing can help. There is no end to all the things you can do to sleep well and comfortably. It is important to be self-disciplined to sleep well and hence be a healthy individual. Resting at night plays an important role in regulating your daily health and your level of energy throughout a day. Also, not only the quantity but the quality of sleep is also important for a healthy lifestyle. Bedtime habits do play a vital role in shaping up your lifestyle and personality as a whole. Here are many lifestyle habits that can help you to get sound sleep. It is not possible to comment on your case without having a detailed examination of the patient and relevant investigations. It is good to communicate to your attending doctor about your concerns and he is a better position to help you out with this. If you feel unsatisfied with current treatment, you please seek a second opinion from another specialist on your issue. No, it will not affect shape of ear nor it will leave any scar outside. It takes weeks to months to recover fully.

Hello, tell me answers of following questions 1. Is cough associated with throat pain ? 2. Is sputum is also coming ? 3.Do you have sneezing/nasal blockade/running nose And Follow advises given below 1.Take proper rest 2.lot of fluids and proper home made diet. 3.warm Saline gargles twice a day for 2-3 days. We need to start antibiotics if sputum is coming with cough so tell me answers of above question than i will do further management consult me/ Physician for further management

HI, Please follow these tips apart from taking medicines to avoid recurrence: - Do not keep your stomach empty for long durations, - Eat in small quantities frequently. - Avoid hot, spicy and oil fried food - Drink plenty of water in between your intake. - Keep away from mental stress and tensions, - Perform physical exercises daily and meditation helps to relieve mental stress and tensions. - Consume lot of fibre like raw vegetables, oats, fruits, sprouts, etc - Avoid excess intake of coffee or tea , intake of medicines on empty stomach. - Be careful about the food while eating outside. - Carry a small pack of biscuit or some fruits along with you for emergency. - Whenever you suffer from acidity, take the medications prescribed by the doctor for 2-3 weeks continuously until the wounds in the stomach gets healed completely. - Sleep at least for 8 hours a day. - Restrict the usage of pain killers and antibiotics frequently.
