Ringworm or Tinea infections, are a fungal skin disease. A family of fungi called dermatophytes causes these infections which might occur anywhere on the body, typically the arms, legs, neck, groin, scalp, hair, nails or beard. The fungi survive on the dead skin cells or keratin and rarely invade the deeper membranes and tissues. However, many ringworm (or Tinea) infections often recur and the usual medicines simply do not help the patient. In such cases, homeopathic remedies for ringworm can help.

Is there any way to maintain the natural black colour of hair? I'm getting brownish.:(

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

Is there any way to maintain the natural black colour of hair? I'm getting brownish.:(
Steps to prevent and cure hair greying 1. Constant exposure of hair to heat is one of the major reason for early greying of hair. Heat removes moisture from hair making it dry and rough. If not taken proper care our hair starts becoming weak and white. Some of the precautions that can be taken are as follows- a. Try to remain in shade during peak sun hours. b. Wear a hat, cap or a cover your hair with a scalf to prevent direct contact of hair with sun c. Avoid taking hot water baths. This removes the moisture from hair making hair grey. d. Avoid using blowers at very high temperature, instead lower the temperature and then use to keep hair healthy. 2. Diet is also an important factor for keeping hair black and strong. Lack of vitamins and minerals can lead to greying and weak hair. Lack of vitamin B12 makes hair white while deficiency of mineral zinc leads to hairfall. Hence eat a balance diet with adequate vitamins and minerals to provide complete nourishment to hair. Take a vitamin B12 capsule or a multi vitamin capsule to get rid of grey hair. Eat fruits, vegetables, proteins, and adequate water to keep hair strong and moisturized. Include vitamin A, B, C, E and minerals like zinc, copper, iron and folic acid for maintaining the dark colour of your hair. 3. Chemical hair products can also lead to grey hair in a young age. Avoid using low quality hair products as these products contain chemicals like ammonia, chlorine etc. that can remove the natural darkness from hair and also make it roots weak. Instead use chemical free products which contain natural extracts to maintain the darkness of hair. 4. Chlorine water in swimming pools can damage the quality of hair. Regular contact of hair with such water can decolourise its colour. Wear swimming cap while you enter the pool. Following these precautions will prevent greying of hair. 5. Biotin present in cucumber, oats, almonds can make your grey hair black. Biotin have properties that help to maintain the dark colour of hair. It has the ability to darken white hair and make hair soft. Hence eat biotin rich foods to cure greying of hair. 6. Stress is condition that leads to degradation of our entire body. It damages our skin and hair taking away the moisture and making it look dull. Stress can also make your hair grey. So avoid stress and try to remain happy always. Try yoga, medication or try some exercise to prevent premature greying of hair. 7. Melanin deficiency in hair also leads to hair whitening. As we grow old melanin in hair starts decreasing and hence our hair becomes grey in old age. 8. Every day scalp massages are very important to restore the darkness of hair. The head massage helps to improve blood circulation in the area, which is very important because the hair is fed mainly through this, and this aspect is very important because the first grey hairs appear in temples because the blood flow is reduced. You can do the massages yourself or ask a family member for it.

It is common to get concerned when you find hair on your pillow or on your bed on waking up in the morning; finding hair clustered near the drain after a shower or noticing a lot of hair falling out when combing your hair. However, rarely patients know that 50-100 hair can be lost in a day and still be considered normal. Patients don't often know that it can just be due to increased shedding and not necessarily due to hair loss.  You would wonder - What's the difference? The adult head has an average of  about 100,000 to 150,000 hairs and can lose up to 100 of them a day. At any one time, about 90% of the hair on a person's scalp is growing. Each follicle has its own life cycle and this life cycle is divided into three phases: •    Anagen -- active hair growth which lasts for two to six years •    Catagen -- transitional hair growth that lasts two to three weeks •    Telogen -- resting phase that lasts about two to three months; at the end of the resting phase the hair is shed and a new hair replaces it and the growing cycle starts again.  The duration of the hair follicle life cycle can be influenced by age, disease, and a wide variety of other factors. Hair Shedding -  When you lose more than the normal expected number of hair in a day, then the patient is said to have excessive shedding and as the volume of hair on scalp decreases which gives a thinned out look on the scalp.  This excessive hair shedding commonly occurs when the patient has had a recent episode of stress. This stress refers to the stress on the growth cycle of the follicle which can be affected by various factors. Recent history of losing weight, post delivery, recent illness, discontinuation of certain medications like birth control pills, use of harsh hair products, or mental stressors from strain in personal or professional life. These episodes can result in increased shedding of hair and the condition is called telogen effluvium. The increased shedding can continue for a few months after the stressful event. However, if the stressor continues to be a part of your life it can also lead to long term continued shedding which is then termed as chronic telogen effluvium. As your body readjusts, the hair shedding reduces and hair begins to regain its normal fullness over 6 - 9 months. Hair Loss which is different from Hair Shedding -  Hair loss occurs when the volume of hair over your head decreases due to reduced growth of hair. Hair loss can occur due to a number of reasons such as patterned hair loss (androgenetic alopecia), hereditary hair loss due to genetic predisposition, immune system derangements, certain drugs or medications, hormonal imbalance, hair follicle infections. From these causes androgenetic alopecia is the most common of hair loss. It affects 20% men by the age of 20, 30 % by the age of 30 and 40% of men by the age of 40. It is imperative to seek help and consultation from a qualified professional. A proper examination by a certified and qualified dermatologist is needed to properly assess the situation so that appropriate treatment can be advised accordingly. If you are bothered with you hair thinning there is no longer any need for you to suffer in silence. Dermatologists are doctors who are specialized in diagnosing and treating skin, hair and nail. A dermatologist can examine appropriately and help you figure out if you are suffering from hair loss or hair shedding. The dermatologist can recommend any investigations that would be needed to figure out the cause and target the problem efficiently. Effective treatment options are available for many types of hair loss. However, the sooner the treatment begins, easier it is to reverse the damage and better the prognosis.

There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Use home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days.
