Hi Ritesh ideally you should avoid sex during first 3months of pregnancy as it may increases risk of abortion.

Get his sperm test done again and it will let you know the quality of his sperms. The best ones are picked for ivf. If some amount of sperms is healthy, you can take husbands sperms else go for donor.

Health Benefits of Rajma

MD - General Medicine
Sexologist, Delhi
Health Benefits of Rajma

Rajma-chawal, red kidney beans are used extensively all over the globe. They are called 'kidney beans' due to their shape which resembles the human kidney. They are one of the tastiest beans and belong to lentils food group. Red kidney beans are known as 'rajma' in India and they form an important part of a vegetarian diet due to their excellent protein content. But the protein they contain is incomplete and they should always be paired with a cereal (carbohydrate) to improve their biological value, in other words, improve the quality of protein.

Nutrition in rajma (Nutritive value per 100g)

Energy - 340 kcals
Protein - 24g
Carbohydrates - 56g
Fat - 1g
Magnesium - 184 mg

Let's have a look at the health benefits of red kidney beans:

Prevents diabetes

Red kidney beans fall into the category of low glycemic index foods and they do not spike the blood glucose levels post meal in diabetics. In other words, they raise the blood glucose levels very slowly. Also, they contain good quality carbohydrates and lean protein which makes them a healthy option. And the cherry on the cake is that they are low in fat too. Also, the two amino acids which regulate insulin levels - arginine and leucine are present abundantly in red kidney beans.

Lowers cholesterol levels

Rajma is a tremendous source of soluble fibre which helps lower cholesterol levels. Soluble fibre forms a gel when it comes in contact with the stomach contents and this binds the cholesterol and prevents its re-absorption back into the system, thus lowering blood cholesterol levels.

Prevents hypertension

Nutritious red kidney beans are also a very good source of potassium and magnesium along with soluble fibre and protein which helps maintain blood pressure within normal range and protects the overall heart health. Potassium and magnesium dilate the blood vessels and arteries thus assuring smooth blood flow.

Help lose weight

These fibre rich beans when consumed, occupy a lot of space in the stomach thus providing a feeling of fullness for a longer period of time and they are low in fat too. This makes it an appropriate pre-workout option as it will provide sustained energy throughout.

Strengthens the immune system

The health benefits of rajma are not just limited to its fibre and protein content as it is full of antioxidants too. These antioxidants boost our immune system and protect it from the harmful effects of free radicals by scavenging them and limiting the damage. Antioxidants are also believed to have anti-ageing properties.

Combine rajma with vegetables in the form of salads or soups to make it more nutritious. Eating red kidney beans every day can become boring or monotonous, here is another interesting way to incorporate it into your daily diet: Red kidney bean flour/powdered beans can be added to wheat flour to make more nutritious chapattis or Indian flat bread, khakra, wraps, chilas, dosas, pancakes, etc.

Doctor please needs an advice I'm newly married just 3 months of marriage and I haven't conceived before but I noticed I'm adding weight like 87 kg to 100 kg so I decided to burn fat by drinking blended cucumber, ginger and lemon. Now my question is for an expecting mother who wants to conceive is it good to take lemon. Or is there side effect. Because that's easy way to burn fat. Please doctor I need your opinion. Thank you.

Hello- Your weight gain is due to PCOD. According to ayurveda there is a Fat (meda dhatu) and blood (rakta dhatu) symbiosis in the body, whenever the patient indulge in practices like irregular and unhealthy diet (fast food etc.) and irregular daily schedule (late night workout ,sleeping in day time etc.) this symbiosis gets disturbed and body start making fat in excess thus minimizing the production of blood in proper quantity and quality. PCOD delay ovulation and hence it might affect your motherhood too. In your case only weight loss treatment will not be beneficial for you, or you have to look out for both the aspects.

Hi Don't take another pill. Most probably it will protect both the acts. E ven if it does not protect then also you can't take as it contains very high dose of hormones, which may cause problem. You need to take chance although chances of pregnancy are less.

Does eating papaya stops pregnancy? Does this leads to abortion if eaten during pregnancy?

Does eating papaya stops pregnancy? Does this leads to abortion if eaten during pregnancy?
Papaya seeds are suppose to be abortifacient. But they might not directly lead to an abortion. So in case you are pregnant and wish to continue it is best to avoid papaya. However if you donot wish to continue just waiting for papaya to help would not be advisable.

When I ask about the time for sex to give a baby birth before or after periods. I always got the answer like 9-18 day...
A woman gets pregnancy when she had intercourse with her husband at the time when her egg rupture and sperms reaches the ovaries at the same time and fertilization takes place. This time varies from person to person depending on your cycle, egg formation start from 7th or 8th day of periods, like if your periods start on 1st of any month, then gradually increase in size and rupture. It varies in every individual women. So roughly your fertile period is from 8th day of periods till 20th day, it can be any day, so you need to have intercourse every alternate day during this time. So there will be maximum chances of conception.
