sir bachache for last 4 months falls in catagory of chronic low bachache. now it is important to evaluate the cause. i would advise you to go for imaging i.e mri lumbosacral spine if you are suffering from low bachache and thoracolumbar spine if upper back is involved

Avoid tea or coffee. Sleep 3 hrs after dinner. Practice yoga. You can have paracetamol if pain is severe.

Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

I am a trader do 16 hrs I have to stay on bed. For trading and training. Now a days I am having severe back pain. I am using volini spray but it is not helping that much . So what need to be done? I was given some exercise too by someone. My question is the exercises the only medicine in this case? Or there are some medicines which could give me some sort of relief. Thank you.

Dear lybrate-user, medicines will help overcome pains. But for some time for permanent relief you need to take inferential and ultrasonic therapy following with excercises regularly.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings.

My lower back is very sensitive and prone to pain frequently. Please advise me to strengthen my back. Will going for walking for 30 min daily help me. Is walking good or bad for back pain. I also suffer from sciatica sometimes.

Dear Lybrate User Walking is best exercise for backache. Do back stretching exercise Stretching should be gentle, so stop any stretching exercise that causes pain. Sleeping on your back is best. Spending a few nights on the floor with a pillow underneath your feet can really help your back, even if it might be a little trickier to stay sound asleep. If you’re a side sleeper, putting a pillow between your knees can help by allowing your muscles to relax more. Make sure you take your time and schedule breaks when doing physical activity if your back hurts. I'm taking modalert 200 mg daily, this medicine helps me a lot to work efficiently. Without it I feel sedative. I want to continue it but I'm facing a problem. After taking it I feel a back pain associated with upset stomach. I don't know whether I should stop it or not. Please advice.

Its common sense that one should not take any medication without a valid prescription. May be you should become alert and become health conscious and follow healthy lifestyle instead. There is no need to take any medicines (even multivitamins) if there is no particular ailment. Please follow healthy eating habit and sleep on time even on weekends as the body sets its own sleep rhythm and gets sufficient rest. Exercise everyday for 30 minutes to 1 hour if possible. Learn Yoga as it can rejuvenate you and make you feel alert and energetic. No medicine can replace the effects of good healthy habits. This is a compulsive disorder. You can take this drug as prescribed by your doctor. It can help you. But this is antidepressent and monitoring by doctor is needed. Mentally you should be stong and give positive commend. Ask your close friend to stop you by symbole or a word. You have to take steps and make up your strong mind set to over come this condition.

Use wheel chair for protect your spine and pelvic. And walker also and tk physiotherapy treatment for muscle relaxation and relief then you can start same before but major problem is double weight on a leg.

Sir my cousin is suffering from back pain he is just of 18 years. This pain is from 2 weeks now what should we do to remove the pain.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Please correct your posture, sit with back support and use hard bed. Avoid forward bending, stair climbing, weight lifting, long activity of (sitting, standing, walking, long travelling, watching tv/computer. Stop all exercises and apply hot water fomentation at painful area.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Ruta 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.

The symptoms described by you do not point to a particular diagnosis. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. It will be better if you visit me in my clinic. Any way take bio d3 max 1tab odx10days ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days.

He is suffering from slip disk back pain for more than 15 years now. Now the pain has got worst as he couldn't walk nor sit, because of this he had to two heart surgery one for blocked and other one is pace maker. Is there any medicine or spray to subside that pain. Please help.
