Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Equal balance on both legs. Do hot fermentation with warm water and do calf stretching exercise gentle massage of foot if it work then ok otherwise wax therapy and ultrasonic therapy must for few days.

I have hurt my knee as my knee got twisted while turning around. I was unable to walk for 3-4 days and slowly slowly started walking with the help of physiotherapy. It's been 3 months now and my walk has improved but at times my knee hurts as well as there is stiffness after sitting for a while. I am female ,45 years old. I do not squat as it hurts.

Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I am having tailbone pain since last 2 years. I have tried ultrasonic treatment for that but it didn' t go well I still go through pain. For now I am using cushion while I seat. Is there any way to get rid of this pain?

If you are having persistent pain in the tail bone (coccyx) you should get an mri scan and a ct scan done to find out the exact cause. There are specialized injections which can be given around the coccyx to relieve your pain.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Calci aid (bakson) (2tabs) thrice a day for a week and revert. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.

Ganglion

Ganglion

A ganglion is a cystic swelling in continuity with a joint capsule or tendon sheath. It is a degenerative disorder  arising from the joint capsule. It is filled with clear, viscous fluid. Ganglia are common on the dorsum of  wrist.

They are often painless and resolve spontaneously. Often, only reassurance of the patient is required. Wrist splints relieve the pain. Aspiration and injection are rarely effective. Surgical excision is best avoided as recurrance rate after surgery is quite high.

I was doing yoga for spine. The yoga follows by lying flat on stomach and lifting the legs one by one. I did this yoga in morning. After that I am having pain in the back lower waist. If you are doing yoga for the first time or after a long time then the pain is OK provided you don't have a history of back pain. Or else wait for some days for the pain to subside by applying hot packs and rest.

Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Management for Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Back muscles need to be strengthened so that they can bear the weight of the upper body. For this exercises of the back muscles are very helpful. Regular walking is also very helpful as it is a wholesome exercise of the body, improves blood circulation and helps lose weight. You can return to sport after acl reconstruction. You need to do undergo vigorous physiotherapy rehabilitation program if you are a professional sportsmen. Its better to avoid contact sports for 1years.
