Sir,
It's been 15-20 days. There is no any improvement I got after taking homeopathy medicine for prostate enlargement.
Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. First and foremost, I would advise that you review treatment progress with your homeopath and do as advised. If still not convinced, you can revert with all relevant diagnostics for further naturopathic traction from my end. In the meanwhile, follow a mediterranean diet pattern predominantly and streamline your lifestyle. Try including more of fresh turmeric, tomatoes, cranberry juice, garlic etc all in your diet on a day to day basis. Its important that you stay well hydrated too. Hope this helps. Do take care and all the very best.

I want to do a check up for all form of oral cancer and espwat is the name of the test.

Fellowship In Rhinology, MS (ENT), DNB (ENT)
ENT Specialist, Delhi
Oral and oropharyngeal cancers can be checked manually by an ENT doctor, All the areas inside your mouth are first inspected and then examined by hands. There are few hidden areas where one must pay attention to. Laryngeal examination with an endoscope can examine the Nase of tongue and the voice box and starting of food pipe for a cancer.

Uterine Cancer - How to Prevent it?

MBBS, MD - Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Kanpur
Uterine Cancer - How to Prevent it?

Uterine cancer is also known as endometrial cancer and it mostly affects the middle-aged women. The uterus of a woman is a muscular organ. The cancer can affect any part of the uterus and is more common in women having obesity, diabetes and hypertension. In most cases, the cancer starts in the endometrium, hence called endometrial cancer. Uterine cancer can be cured using any of the following methods:

  1. Surgical removal of the uterus along with ovaries, lymph nodes and fallopian tubes
  2. Radiation therapy
  3. Chemotherapy

What are the Red Flag symptoms of Uterine cancer?

  1. Post-Menopausal Bleeding: Any vaginal blood loss once you have attained Menopause
  2. Abnormal Uterine Bleeding: Any bleeding besides your menstrual bleeding or if your menstrual cycle becomes abnormal especially if you are more than 45 years old.

Although uterine cancer is curable, it's always a better option to prevent it. You cannot control all the causes for uterine cancer like those related to heredity. But other than that, here are a few ways in which you can prevent suffering from uterine cancer:

  1. Control body weight: Keep your body weight in control. Obesity can pose a huge risk of getting affected with uterine cancer. The fat in the body produces estrogen, which promotes the growth of uterine lining that is the Endometrium and may lead to Endometrial cancer.
  2. Breast feed: If you are lactating, then the risk of cancer decreases, as breast feeding decreases ovulation as well as estrogen activities.
  3. Treat abnormal bleeding: If you are suffering from any type of abnormal bleeding, be that heavy periods, bleeding even after you reached menopause or if you start bleeding between two period cycles, consult your doctor immediately. Abnormal bleeding is the symptom of endometrial hyperplasia, which might eventually turn cancerous.
  4. Exercise: As already said earlier, keep your weight under control to avoid uterine cancer. Exercise to avoid increase in weight leading to obesity. It also reduces the estrogen level in your body.
  5. Healthy food: Healthy food is the key to avoid any disease, be that a common cold or uterine cancer. Eat a healthy and balanced diet everyday to be fit and bouncing.
  6. Birth control pills: It is believed that the intake of birth control pills helps to keep uterine cancer at bay.

So eat healthy, exercise and adopt healthy habits. Then nothing can stop you from enjoying life to the fullest. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

Main factor is your age n family history of same. U should write first age when ever you question to a doctor. Any how it seems you r younger or middle aged. Do FNAC OF lesion n usg both breast. Then consult me. Do not worry. Its maximum possibility is benign lesion. Fibroadenoma n axillary breast or lipoma. Thanks.

Hi Sir, My aunt is 50 years old. She had suffered from breast cancer 15 years back which was successfully treated with surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. 2 years back she was again treated for uterine cancer. Now one month back she is diagnosed with Lung cancer. Doctors are still conducting tests and not yet started with treatment. She is experiencing cough and pain in chest area. Can we go ahead with Chemotherapy again? She is scared of the side effects? Why it is re occurring again and again? What is the prognosis now? What is the way ahead please suggest.

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, FBD (Fellowship in Breast Diseases), UICC Fellowship
Oncologist, Pune
Lung cancer will give more symptoms as compared to uterine and breast cancer. Check her receptors as lung cancers have got another treatment called immunotherapy. Lesion of lung needs to be biopsied and send for pathology as well as receptors than only treatment can be finalised.

DNB, MBBS

The kind of lumps you are mentioning is mostly due to fat collection like lipoma and they are benign if soft in consistency. But still you must see clinician once to be exactly be sure of it.
