You are emotionally unstable. You need emotional therapy. You are suffering from psychological problem. Because of excessive internal frustrated thoughts. You are very easily getting angerness. Better to analyse your internal thoughts. If anything is secrecy or anything leads to dissatisfaction. Analyse that. Based on that take further steps to come out from this statues. Excessive angerness will not come without any reason. After analyse then take your environment very easily. Maintain calmness and pleasant manner. Better to practise yoga and meditation. Express your internal thoughts to your close friends and family member. Be sociable. Be happy all time. Do not maintain this status. It is always problematic to you. Better to come out from this status. Ok all the best.

You should be able to distinguish between disappointment and depression. Disappointment also brings on symptoms identical to depression but they are short lived. You are jobless but you are just 18. I don; t know your family's financial conditions and your qualifications. Please post a private question to me with every detail. I will help you. Take care.

Hello dear. I can understand. Your feeling & mood are obvious. But you have to move on. Thats d life. & that person would have never like that you live in depression my advises to you are * take life lightly * main problem is how you are reacting matters & incidence of your life & day to day * you can see half filled glass of water by two way: half is still empty (nagative attitude) or half full (positive) * take balance diet * give time for yoga * constipation should removed * you can take brahmi sankhpuspi etc ayurveda medicine * I recommended strongly, go near by ayurveda centre & take shirodhara & nashya treatment.

Hello, there are few yoga poses which helps in calming your mind and relieves stress, but first learn these under a qualified yoga-teacher as many poses are prohibited in certain diseases or medical conditions! exercises: practice shavasana or corpse pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. (the mind and body are deeply connected. If the mind is occupied by thoughts and worries then the shavasana will be unsuccessful. Therefore one has to acquire the stability of the mind along with the stability of the body.) anuloma involves inhaling through both nostrils together and exhaling each breath alternately between the left and right nostrils. The thumb of the right hand is used to manipulate the right nostril, while the pinky and ring finger are used to control the left nostril. There are many other poses of yoga like balasan, setu bandha sarvangasan, uttanasan, garudasan, savasana, triconasana, viprita karani, marjaryasana, dhyana, bhujangasana, anulom-vilum, pranayam, etc.

Tips to Deal With Social Phobia

Master Of Science In Counseling & Psychotherapy

Tips to Deal With Social Phobia

Anxiety often leads to the development of phobias. An unreasonable fear of being in social situations is known as social anxiety or social phobia. People suffering from such a phobia may be afraid of specific social settings like public speaking or generic social events such as eating with others or using public telephones. They are afraid that they will embarrass themselves or be humiliated in front of others. Being in such a situation can often build up into a panic attack. In many cases, the person himself is aware that his fear is irrational but cannot overcome it. Hence, here are a few tips to overcome social phobia.

  1. Relax: The first thing you need to do is learn to relax. People with phobias often anticipate them and stress themselves out before the situation can present itself. Being anxious heightens sensitivity and worsens your response to a social situation. Hence, before stepping out or meeting someone, take a deep breath and relax. Instead of focusing on the stressful situation, think about something in the future like getting home to a nice cup of tea.
  2. Test yourself: Make a list of the situations that you are afraid of and anticipate the level of anxiety you think it would cause. Then test this hypothesis by putting yourself in the situation. For example, if you fear walking into a crowded room, try doing it once. You may find that you cope with the situation better then you anticipated. Keep a record of these hypothesis and test results.
  3. Practice doing what scares you: Some situations may scare you too much to dive straight into them. In such cases, practice what you would do if you were in such a situation by yourself or with someone you trust. Run the situation in your head and imagine what you would do if it were actually happening.
  4. Look around: Social awkwardness is often caused by imaging that people can read your thoughts and thus focusing on them rather than the people you are talking to or the space you are in. Train your mind to notice things around you and be aware of your situation. Focusing outwards can lower your anxiety and enhance your ability to hold a conversation with people. To make this a habit, whenever you walk into a room make a mental note of three things in the room.
  5. Ask questions: An easy way to shift focus from yourself to people around you is by asking questions. When you someone a question listen to their response and if you still aren't comfortable talking about your own views, ask another related question. This will not give your mind time to dwell on any negative thoughts and can even increase your social circle.

Hi i am Highly tensed while face any problem. Please help

PhD (Psychology), MSc Psychology, MS
Psychologist,
You must be able to distinguish between mental disease and mental disorder. Your problem is a mental disorder. Not a mental disease. Therefore no medicines are required. Mental disorder can be successfully treated with the help of awareness, meditation, psychotherapy techniques, life style changes etc. I think two or three counseling sessions and psycho therapy techniques should solve your problem. Let me know if you are willing to undergo counseling sessions and tailor made psycho therapy through mobile. Take care.

Greetings, How to quit smoking without getting effected on health? Advise the best and easiest way to do so Regards,

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
Any time you quit smoking you will enjoy only good health and a long life. The withdrawal symptoms are relatively minor and you can handle it with some support and a lot of determination. Congratulations that you want to quit smoking. Tobacco consumption, either through smoke or other edible forms, is always harmful. The desire to quit is a good starting point. The best way to quit is to know more about the ill-effects of tobacco. The knowledge is astounding and scary. That information itself should help you to want to quit. Smoking uses the respiratory system and gives you a faster kick. The tobacco tar in cigarette smoke lines your lungs with huge patches that make that portion dysfunctional. Your oxygen carrying capacity is jeopardized, and breathing is impinged. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heart beat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. There are more than 7000 harmful chemicals in cigarette smoke! You will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. Then you need to identify why you smoke and chew tobacco: there is an oral need, the nicotine effect, the psychological effect of covering up some other issue, for style, to impress, etc. You may discover that the reasons may be unimportant at this stage because you have become too addicted and the habit has become compulsive. You should start exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga) or chewing, and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need, for a little while. You may take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine chewing gum or nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces substantially. You may join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i. E. At least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking tobacco. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – you can start the cessation all over again. Don’t be discouraged because it is not too late even now to reverse all the ill-effects of smoking. As Mark Twain once jocularly said, “giving up smoking is easy; I have done it many times”. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest.

Hello Doctor, My marriage has been 3 years. But I'm not satisfied with my married life and totally mentally disturbed and Depressed. Talking to your wife about this is the only solution. No couple is perfect. There will be some qualities in your wife that you like- highlight them more - appreciate whatever you like in what she does. Most of the times problems in relationships arise due to miscommunication, over expectations and lack of trust. Spend more time with your wife and child and try to find out her likes and dislikes. Avoid discussing your problem with family members because that gives a signal to your spouse that you don't trust and love her - and this increases your problems.

Hello, I can understand, headaches are not at all pleasant. He can try the deep breathing exercise which may help his headache a little bit. If not it will be recommended that you take him to the doctor so that he/she can advise you well. Dear, you must be able to understand concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Take care.

How to leave smoking?

Advanced Skills in Counselling, BSIC, Advanced Trainee of Transactional Analysis, DCS, Hypnotherapist
Psychologist,
If you want to stop smoking, you could try these: 1. Set a date for yourself to stop smoking. Or you can slowly reduce everyday or weekly. 2. Tell everyone that you are stopping smoking so that they can support you. 3. Remove ash trays, lighters and cigarettes from your room, car, office etc. 3. Take support of support groups like nicotine anonymous. 4. Use nicotine chewing gum or patch in the transition phase. 5. Be aware of your triggers and examine them. Counselling helps in this and explore stressful situations when you tend to smoke more. You would be able to manage the stress without having to depend on the cigarettes and finding your own strengths and resources within yourself and the environment to cope with stressful situations. 6. Congratulate yourself when you are able to successfully manage without smoking. 7. Expect days when you slip and smoke. Don't be hard on yourself. Examine your reasons for slipping and learn from them. Most people who quit successfully have tried it at least 3-4 times. If you have any questions, please click on private chat.
