Hi Sir/ Madam, I am 24 years old, my first baby is 20 months old, and this is my second pregnancy, now I am 4months, last week I have done my NT scan, in that the doctors said, everything is normal, but the placenta is low lying. Is that create any problem?

Hi Sir/ Madam,

During pregnancy, the placenta moves as the uterus stretches and grows. It is very normal for the placenta to be low in the uterus in early pregnancy. But as the pregnancy continues, the placenta typically moves to the top of the uterus. By the third trimester, the placenta should be near the top of the womb, so the cervix has a clear path for delivery. If the placenta attaches to the lower part of the uterus, it can cover part or all of the cervix (the entrance to the womb). When the placenta covers part or all of the cervix during the last months of pregnancy, this is a condition known as placenta previa, or low-lying placenta. This condition can cause severe bleeding before or during labor.

Hello- If you do experience discomfort, communicate with your partner and make sure you are fully aroused, have enough lubrication — both her own or some extra — and are as relaxed as possible. If the problem still persist you might be suffering from Vaginismus (a condition that affects a woman's ability to engage in vaginal penetration, including sexual intercourse, manual penetration, insertion of tampons or menstrual cups, and the penetration involved in gynecological examinations (pap tests). ). You need to start medications in order to recover from the condition.

If you have a 30 day cycle and you want to know the date of ovulation you will have to use temperature method. Measure your body temperature everyday for 25 days and plot it on a graph. The day when you have highest body temperature is the day of ovulation. U can msg me on my consult for more details.

This could be beginning of menopause. Sometimes periods become heavy and irregular before they cease. But at this age, it is advisable to get a USG done to rule out any pathology. Please ask her to talk to me if she has more queries.

Its better to lie on a side, preferably left, this helps blood flow to the foetus and decreases giddiness.

For regular contraception, you can take ocp like femilon etc or you can go for cu t. For this cycle let you know that ovulation is around 14 days before expected date in case of regular cycles. If cycles are irregular like 26_35days, you can count 10 days minus longest (35) =25, 18 days minus shortest cycle=8 you should avoid contact from 8-25day of cycle.

As the pregnancy advances and uterus grows in size low lying placenta usually migrates upwards. At present you should take rest. Take a soft diet and drink lots of fluids to avoid constipation.

I am a 24 year old girl and since twenty days I have been experiencing pain, inflammation and discomfort in vagina and it pronounced during urination. This happened 2 days after I had intercourse. The Dr. prescribed me levomac 500, becosules, allegra 120 and quadriderm RF cream (I couldn't get how to apply this) for 5 days. However, since a week I started experiencing very slight inflammation and discomfort again which increased after starting the course again since yesterday. I hope it's nothing very serious Please help.

Ms. lybrate-user As you asked about your problems related to your Vaginitis after sex I would like to advise you it is not very serious. You just wash with warm saline water or warm water boiled with fitakari and give fomentation with warm cotton over your vagina. You should continue it for 3-6 days twice daily. Make sure easy during sex. If you feel pain or uncomfortable stop it otherwise maybe serious injuries. You may use light paste of Haldi and water, warm it and mix little oil or Ghee and paste over vagina ,keep it up to dry and then wash it with warm water. It will help you.

I had fibroid on my utreus one and half years back and it was operated n removed. But doctor said there is high possibility they can come back in future. Is there any natural way to avoid it I m just 31 years old.

Yes they can come back. Only natural way is weight control. In other cases, we advise medical therapy using drugs as most of the fibroids do not need surgery
