Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Simple Knee Exercises would help to strengthen the quadriceps muscle which is the key muscle. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping a soft ball underneath the knee and you have to keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone.

Hello- Knee pain and sound / crepts from knee suggest of inadequate quantity of synovial fluid in knee joint. Follow these tips- 1. Maintain healthy weight: 2. Cold and heat therapy: Acute pain in the knee can be relieved with cold therapy. Applying ice to the affected area not only reduced pain but also minimises swelling. For chronic pain, heat therapy would work better and help ease stiffness. But you need to discuss the frequency and intensity of these therapies with your doctor or physiotherapist. 3. For joint pain consult physiotherapist. Learn exercise for joint pain. Use lumber spine belt and knee cap. Don't sit on floor. Don't lift heavy things. Take calcium and multivitamin for joint pain.

This is a general strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain.

I am 46 years male. Doctor I am suffering from cervical spondylitis. But in order to do exercise I had bought a treadmill. But some of my family doctor had suggested me that treadmill will increase my spondylitis. Is it true or false.

Treadmill will do no harm.But for cervical spondylosis you need neck & shoulder exercises along with other physiotherapy measures.Anti inflammatory drugs along with antioxidants also help in recovery.

He told me ball will fix after 4 or 5 years through surgery. doctor gave pain killers. Pain decrease when I take tablet. 3 or 4 days again pain start while walking. Sir how can cure without surgery?

You can go for conservative management by keeping ice in the pain ful area and you can wear thigh braces to build the tone which will reduce the pressure falling on the painful hip.

Hello Ms. Lybrate-user, please see to it, that there is no swelling present, if injury had occurred in less than 48 hrs you can apply ice or vapocoolant spray, but if more than 48 hrs you can apply local heat in the vicinity of the injury. If pain & swelling still persists persistent please consult a competent orthopaedician.
