Leg pain- advice keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises hamstring stretching calf muscles stretching contrast bath heel pain. Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Ankle stretching. Ankle strengthening exercises. Avoid squatting. Quadriceps exercises. Core strenthening exercises.

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicines 1. Ruta 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week. 2. Rhus tox 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. Keep a gap of 15 - 20 minutes in both the medicines.

Permanent treatment of hernia is Surgical repair so consult good Surgeon and for neck pain Kindly follow advises given below 1.Avoid using computers continuously, take rest for 5 min after working for half an hour 2. In pain free interval do neck exercise (kindly learn exercise by registered Trainer) 3. you can use thin pillow while sleeping so that normal posture of neck can be maintained 4.Maintain proper posture of body while watching TV/ studying Kindly go for cervical X ray AP and lateral and review with reports Consult Physician for Further Management

I understand you are having some sort of multiple symptoms and not related to any specific disease. Do a blood test and find any inflammation anywhere in the body loss of appetite and energy loss might be due to sometimes mild depression for which you may try yoga nad meditation asasp.

Knee Instablity: Is It An ACL Tear?

Knee joint injuries are one of the most common sports and vehicular injury sustained by patients. We have observed that many of these injuries are neglected initially. A knee injury often presents with swelling in the knee along with pain.

A medical evaluation of all knee injuries is mandatory. All knee injuries which are present with swelling and pain should be evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon. A Xray is usually taken.

The pain and swelling disappear in normal course of time but an instability persists in these patients.

An anterior cruciate ligament tear is the most common injury which is diagnosed in these patients. It is also called ACL tear.

The usual symptoms are fear of falling down, locking feeling , inability to make the knee completely straight, difficulty in climbing stairs up or down. All these problems should never be neglected as it will lead to further injuries and increasing damage.

The investigation of choice is an MRI scan.

The ideal treatment in these cases is a keyhole surgery

The surgery is called ACL reconstruction. The torn ligament is replaced with a new graft.The surgery is arthroscopically done.

Hi i am 64 years running, when press my left leg thumb on floor I feel something'jhanjhanahat' since last 01 yr. I am regularly having routine check up (at least twice or thrice in a year) of blood sugar-fasting & pp, serum electrolytes, creatinine, lipid profile, uric acid, serum psa, urine routine exam, u/s whole abdomen but all the test are negative and good, except sometime uric acid is just cross the average limit. Pl. Let me know what is the symptom of feeling'jhanjhanahat' in my left leg thumb only. Please help

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There could be many reasons for this, actually this sensation is what we call as paraesthesia and signifies nerve irritation/compression somewhere along the course right from lower back to compartments around ankle. My advise will be for 2-3 weeks try with physical therapy (tens as a modality), you can initiate with small dose of gabapentin or pregabalin and vitamin b 12 and see whether there is any improvement in symptoms in 10-15 days time or not? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

I am 30 years male. Long back ther was pain in my left leg near fingers so it was diagnosed as a result of high uric acid. I regularly go for test of my uric acid level in my body. currently it is 5.6 what should be normal uric acid level for men and what food should I take less to keep it normal in the body. The best treatment of Gout consists of restoring the balance of Vata (Air element) and detoxifying the blood. High protein diet should be avoided in cases of increased uric acid. Mix one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water and drink it two to three times daily. If you find this remedy helpful, you can increase the dosage of apple cider vinegar to up to two tablespoons. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take maha yograj guggul 1-1 twice a day. Kaishor guggul and chandraprabha vati 1-1 twice a day. Avoid junk food. Fermented food. Spicy food. Tea.coffee. Do pranayama early morning. Avoid alcohol consumption. According your age this may be deficiency of vit 12 and calcium levels. Avoid long standing and do ice pack on the pain swelling area for 20 minutes and do calf stretching exercise.

Back and leg pain for 3 to 4 years needs evaluation and treatment. X ray cannot identify conditions like intervertebral disc prolapse or other causes of back pain. You need to undergo mri scan of lumbo sacral spine after a trial of conservative therapy as discussed below. 1. Maintain proper posture while walking or sitting. Do not slouch or hunch. Take breaks between prolonged standing or sitting and change posture. Arrange your office desk and chair ergonomically 2. Back stretching and strengthening exercise to be done daily. 3. Walking helps to maintain spine health. 4. Keep pillow between knees or behind knees at night time. 5. Take healthy diet rich in calcium. 6. Do not bend forward to lift weights. 7. Lose weight if you are obese. 8. Take over the counter painkillers like ibuprofen if pain is severe. 9. Apply analgesic cream over back and do warm water fomentation. Back pain accompanied by tingling, numbness, weakness of legs and loss of urine or stool control needs urgent medical attention.
