I have pain in my knees and facing very much trouble in waking climbing stairs can you help me.
Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

HI I am 30 years old , I am facing back pain near neck and shoulder blade. Which after relaxing a day goes away but again arises in few days. I am a software engineer so I sit on chair for long hours, I am not sure why this happens after research I found it could be related to heart problem so I did ECG but it shows normal heart rhythm . Please suggest what should I do next.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

Backache is normally two types: structural & mechanical. At your age is commonly mechanical back pain, due to bad ergonomics leads to bad posture finally ends into back pain. I would recommend you to see physiotherapy doctor n get it checked properly and take treatment. Tens, ultrasound therapy & heat therapy is best choice of treatment. After pain reduces start with mild strengthening exercises n stay fit.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

If you are having neck problem while doing Dumble than you should stop doing it for at least 15 days You did not mention what problem you are having like pain or any other problem so kindly clear your symptom and consult me again and if you want you can also opt for Video appointment

Hello, please send me your all investigation report to rule out whether it is ldp or anything else. This is may be due to overweight or deficiency of vitamin d3 and calcium or due to poor posture. Till then follow these advice:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs. I will explain you stiffness and pain reducing techniques in the next session. Wish you a happy and pain free life thanks.

Pl start taking regular light Yoga exercises, have good proteins, iron and calcium rich diet, lit of fibres in balanced diet and start taking 1.decoction if chavya, Chitrak, Shunthi, pipal, Piplamool quality raw herbs, clean these first. Add 1/2 tsp of pure turmeric. 2. Decoction of Nycanthes leaves (night flowering Jasmine). 3 Strengthening the muscles of back by herbal oils massage. Do these for one month only. For medicine part pl consult privately.

1. Take one tablet of paracetamol 500mg 2-3 times daily after food 2. Do warm saline gurgling and steam inhalation with karvol plus inhalant capsule 3-4 times daily 3. Put otrivin nasal drop one drop thrice daily 4. Take viscodyne d syrup 2tsf thrice daily 4. You may have to take antibiotic along with it if no relief 5. Consult me for further advice.

Hello lybrate user, - 1st this is be be get diagnosed, what is the reason for your pain. - any investigations done? need to know - if not get it done x-ray to see any changes in spinal bones. - for now apply mahanarayana taila with eucalyptus oil and take hit fomentation that will relive your pain and also strengthen the joint, relaxes the muscles. - take yogaraja guggulu 2-0-2 for 10days. - reduce the works which usually trigger the pain like heavy lifting, bending twisting - maintain aways an errect posture while sitting report back with investigations. . Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart..

Back pain with leg pain is not a good sign. If your nerve is getting compressed in your lowback then you get such symptoms. Dont neglect it and visit an orthopaedic surgeon at the earliest. It will b treated by medicine and rest initially follwed by graded exercises.

Continuuously work is your problem tk break between work and do walk for 5 to 10 minute and slight stretch your muscle. Then again do your work. And heat formation with rest time and apply the pain relief ointment.
