You can sometimes care for a boil at home. Do not squeeze, scratch, drain, or open the boil. Squeezing can push the infection deeper into the skin. Gently wash the area with soap and water twice a day. Dry it well. Put warm, wet cloths on the boil for 20 to 30 minutes, 3 or 4 times a day. Do this as soon as you notice a boil. The heat and moisture can help the boil to open and drain, but it may take 5 to 7 days. A warm compress or waterproof heating pad placed over a damp towel may also help. Keep using heat for 3 days after the boil opens. Put a bandage on it so the drainage does not spread. Change the bandage every day. If the boil is draining on its own, let it drain. Keep cleaning it twice a day with soap and water. To help keep the infection from spreading, do not share towels and washcloths with other people.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Your knee pain could be due to certain reasons but common ones are chondromalacia, pain due to knee instability, inflammation etc. You have also mentioned a grade 2 tear, is it a meniscus tear or a ligament tear that you are talking about? if there is no history of any injury, and no s/s of inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness or local warmth on touching, then I will like to advise you for conservative management initially in form of: - intensive physical therapy with focus on strengthening of quadriceps and stretching of other group of muscles - gentle anti inflammatory medications like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol can be taken in small doses for 5-7 days - adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation as per requirement - ice packs at home for 3-4 times in a day and see how it goes for around 2 weeks time. Also kindly let me know about any instability which you may feel in your knee region and can you kindly send me mri report as well. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Definately there is a compression on the nerve which is the main supply to the neck , some portionof the back. and head. Vata ( the air and wind element of our body) when increases dries up the synovial fluis ie the lubricant inbetween the two bones- this reduces the buffer for the nerve causing the pain. X rays will show only after it increases to a certainpoint. Here too Ayurveda has a solution to such problems. Ittackles the vata to decrease and balance the same thus the problem is tackled. Hedache also can be due to the same. Try taking Dhanvantaram 101 and cervilon both 2 capsules twice a day after food. use Narayan tailam.. heat and apply locally or alternately use Rehumatil oil . Never apply pressure on the spice area. only application. Other places you can apply pressure

Mr. Lybrate-user, t2 dm is a disease that is hereditary. If one of the parents have then 50 % of the children are likely to get it. If both parents are diabetic then 75% chance of getting the disease. Fortunately t2 dm is a preventable disease. By adapting a modified lifestyle like regular exercising, maintaining normal body weight, taking a healthy balanced diet, refraining from smoking and alcohol keeps one away from diabetes.

HomeMade Hair Growth Masks That Guarantee Results

HomeMade Hair Growth Masks That Guarantee Results
Natural hair growth treatment masks that guarantee results

Our lifestyle, stress and dietary issues have restricted the hair growth and hair quality in the entire generation. In fact, most of us face trouble of thinning hair, slow hair growth, split hair and several other issues. But you can grow your hair and ensure that those locks are thick, beautiful and luscious with these natural hair growth treatments that offer great results.

1. Olive oil and egg yolk: Egg yolk has been used for centuries by people for adding thickness and shine to hair. In fact, a number of shampoos use egg yolk as well. Regular use of olive oil keeps your hair look healthy. And a mask made with both the ingredients will certainly give you silky, shiny and longer hair. These two elements have abundant vitamins and proteins for hair growth. Prepare a mix using an egg yolk with similar quantity of olive oil, apply and leave for an hour before washing off. Use the mixture 1-2 times a month.

2. Banana Mask: Banana is a super-food, rich in a lot of minerals. Use it for homemade mask that’s rich with potassium and promotes hair growth. Make a smooth paste out of ripe banana, apply it to your hair and cover the hair with a plastic cap. This will help in locking the nutrients. You can then wrap the hair in hot towel. Once that’s done, simply remove the cap and blow-dry the hair so that banana sets to the hair. Then, use almond oil or coconut oil as a conditioner. Wash off hair after a few minutes.

3. Curry Leaves and Coconut Oil: A lot of us use coconut oil on a regular basis. Make the oil even more effective by adding curry leaves to it. You can make a diluted mixture with curry paste and then apply onto your scalp. Leave it for at least one hour and wrap the hair in a hot towel for maximum results. It will lead to shinier hair. Repeat the treatment once every week for hair growth.

The main problem is fear and the stress it causes. Dreaming during the day is sometimes an escape from facing the reality. If the fear is too much you will need to meet with a counselor and deal with the fear. Once you calm down you can study better and will remember what you studied also well. One way to reduce stress in an emergency is to puff up your cheek with air pressure and hold it for about ten counts. The back pressure it creates presses the back of your throat where the vagus nerve is present. Because of this pressure it will immediately slow down your heart rate and calm you down since the vagus nerve is directly connected to the heart. If the stress comes back then repeat it until it gives up. In the meantime do some of these recommendations very faithfully: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem-solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning, at least, five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position, you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There is some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food. You may also include these noted foods that are good for your brain health: Brain-Friendly Foods MIND stands for Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay. But the MIND approach “specifically includes foods and nutrients that medical literature and data show to be good for the brain, such as berries,” says Martha Clare Morris, ScD, director of nutrition and nutritional epidemiology at Rush University Medical Center. You eat things from these 10 food groups: •Green leafy vegetables (like spinach and salad greens): At least six servings a week •Other vegetables: At least one a day •Nuts: Five servings a week •Berries: Two or more servings a week •Beans: At least three servings a week •Whole grains: Three or more servings a day •Fish: Once a week •Poultry (like chicken or turkey): Two times a week •Olive oil: Use it as your main cooking oil. •Wine: One glass a day You avoid: •Red meat: Less than four servings a week •Butter and margarine: Less than a tablespoon daily •Cheese: Less than one serving a week •Pastries and sweets: Less than five servings a week •Fried or fast food: Less than one serving a week.
