I have been diagnosed with diabetes (Type 2) and under doctor prescribed medicine certain XR 1000 mg (alongwith lose H & Atchol 10). I take it regularly one after dinner every night. I have been taking it for almost two years. But still my blood sugar report avg 110mg/100ml (fasting) & 183mg/100ml (PP). How should I bring it down to normal? Please suggest me some quick time exercises (due to work pressure I hardly get time) and a proper weekly diet chart to follow. My age is 38 yrs, male, Weight-89 kgs and height 179cm. Please help me out.

you are over weight, with bmi 27.81kg/m2, this is one of the reasons for improper control of blood sugar. But still 183 mg/100 ml, is not that bad. If you are really serious on reducing weight then exercising is a must. How to take out time is your decision. One way is to have a tread mill machine at home and exercise. Please let me know the hba1c%, which gives an idea about long term sugar control.

TIPS FOR PROPER SLEEP:: 1.Have a glass of whole milk (without the cream removed) with green cardamom powder before going to bed. 2.Have 1 teaspoon of licorice root powder with a glass of milk on an empty stomach in the morning. 3.Boil 3 grams of fresh mint leaves or 1.5 grams of dried powder of mint leaves in 1 cup of water for 15-20 minutes. Take lukewarm with 1 teaspoon of honey at bedtime. 4.Massage your feet with lukewarm mustard oil 2-3 times a day and before going to bed. 5. Take light meals at night and drink 10-15 glasses of water daily. 6.Stop using gadgets 1 hr before sleep.switch off lights at 11:00 pm. 7. Sleep in total dark room. 8.Add some fresh rose petals in a cup of boiling water. Keep it aside till it is lukewarm. Add ½ teaspoonful of sugar to it and have this twice a day. This is a good drink to uplift mood. 9.Do yoga daily 30 min n shavasana daily 5 min before sleep.... Do deep breathing for 2-3 min after every 1 hr....

Hi, never be in tension. Penetration is not there, ejaculation is also not there. No chance of pregnancy. However you have given unwanted. Relax and let her relax otherwise her tension can postpone her cycle.

I am facing a problem of hypochondria since 4 years. Hypochondria (health anxiety) is a form of chronic psychological stress that millions of people around the world suffer from on a daily basis. 1. Allow yourself to feel these feelings - the first step in overcoming such an issue in one's life, is to first accept the way you are feeling. Many people with hypochondria tend to be very anxious of the fact that they have health fears! yes, the psychosomatic nature of this condition truly knows no bounds! it is important that you consciously accept the way you are feeling, rather than unconsciously fighting against it, which only creates further internal stress and conflict. However, when you allow yourself to feel your feelings, you release resistance and open to the healing process. 2. Surrender to uncertainty - we all have to live with degrees of uncertainty in our lives. One of the core roots of hypochondria is the fear of death, which is something that every human being must confront at some point in their lifetime. When you begin to surrender to the uncertainty of life, you free yourself from the chains of fear, and instead, begin to embrace your divine awareness. 3. Stop googling your'symptoms' - this is by far one of the most notorious habits of someone suffering with hypochondria. However, freeing yourself of this habit is one of the keys to success as it helps to neutralise the pattern that one has ingrained in their consciousness over many years in their life. This is the pattern of seeking reassurance or validation outside of oneself. There is a big lesson to be learned here, and one that will become clearer to you as you begin transmuting such habits. 4. Trust your own judgement - although this is one of the fundamental challenges for someone dealing with hypochondria, it is something that can be very effectively addressed through gradual steps. In your day to day life, for example, when doing certain individually assigned tasks at work, just become conscious of when you ask other people for their opinion or advice on whatever it is you are doing. As you develop more self-awareness of this, begin to make small-scale decisions based purely on your own judgement. At first, this can seem very daunting, but you will be surprised how powerful your intuition really is! understand that even if you do make a'mistake' that's ok! everyone makes mistakes! how would we truly learn anything without making them? 5. Go for a walk in nature - it's one of the simplest tools, but one that can absolutely transform your day from one of doom and gloom to one of optimism and self-empowerment! get those legs moving, get those lungs breathing that clean fresh air, and get out in nature. I assure you it will help to purify your body, mind and spirit of any negative energies. Become conscious of what is around you. Pay careful attention to nature - she can teach you many wonderful things about her laws and the bliss it will bring to your life by living in accordance with them. The key here is to listen with your heart, rather than your ears. I hope that you find benefit in applying these to your own life, and remember, it's not how quickly you are able to transform. Hello lybrate-user for periods pain you can take syrup ashokarista 15-15 ml after food with equal water. In diet take more of fruits and vegetables. Do some yoga. Excersise daily. Take proper sleep. Avoid stress etc in pain condition take ajowain and sonf half half teaspoon boil in one glass water and reduce it half and drink warm.

Kindly take bhruhatyadi kshayam, 3 tsf in half a glass of warm water, before meals, twice a day. Take chandraprabha vati, 2 tabs with chandanasva, 3 tsf in half a glass of warm water, after meals, twice a day. Avoid spicy food, maah daal, fried food, curd, in your diet. Get an ultrasound scan done to rule out any obstruction and to decide about further medication. Do not carry the urge to urinate or defecate in the future. Continue the regime for 1 month. Stay in touch. Good luck.

What are your fasting, pp sugar levels and hba1c%? if diabetes is in check then such problems normally do not develop. Plus you are obese with a bmi of 35.92kg/m2 (normal <23kg/m2). Unless you work on weight reduction it is difficult to control sugar and consequent problems. On the penis the marks are due to (possibly) fungal infection, take tab gocan 150 once a week for 8 weeks and also apply candid b cream locally twice a day. One way to take care of your excess weight is to consider bariatric surgery. Which will also control diabetes too.

There are several things you can do to prevent a cold—they are all easy and inexpensive and worth the effort. Wash your hands often-with soap and warm water.The germs stick to the soap and get washed down the drain. Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. Cover Your Mouth and Nose When You Sneeze or Cough- Clean your hands every time you cough or sneeze. Avoid Touching Your Eyes, Nose, or Mouth-Germs are often spread when a person touches a contaminated surface and then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth. Stay Home When You’re Sick-Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, don’t smoke, manage stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food so you can fend off viruses. In general you should: -Take healthy balanced diet...like boiled eggs.daily in breakfast .. -Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. -Routinely clean and disinfect common areas of your home. -get plenty of rest so your body can use its energy to fight the cold -staying at home will keep you from spreading germs -drink plenty of liquids like herbal tea or hot broth/vegetable/tomato soups. Avoid foods or drinks with caffeine which can keep you from getting enough sleep -Runny Nose and Sneezing- if you have post nasal drip, gargle to keep from getting a sore throat. Drink extra fluids. (avoid sugary and high calorie drinks) -Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation • Tablet Nasorest-P once/twice daily may reduce the amount of mucous. • Do steam inhalation once or twice daily Treatment:There is a gradual 1-3 day onset of symptoms. It often starts out as a sore throat, then a fever and coughing. As the cold progresses, the nasal mucus may thicken which is the last stage before the cold dries up. A cold usually lasts for a week or two. But, taking good care of yourself at home can relieve symptoms and help prevent complications if you are otherwise healthy. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn’t need medical treatment. Complications include bacterial infections of the ears, throat, sinuses or lungs which must be treated with antibiotics. Cough-Coughing is how your body gets rid of debris and mucus from the airways during a viral infection. Unless your cough is severe or is keeping you from resting at night, it is better not to treat it. A severe cough can be treated with a cough syp, but don’t try to completely stop the cough. There are two types of coughs. Productive and non-productive or dry cough. Non-productive, dry cough. A dry, hacking cough may develop near the end of a cold. Dry coughs that follow viral colds are often worse at night and can last up to several weeks. Take syrup Alex-D for a dry cough. Cough drops can sooth an irritated throat, but most don’t affect the cough. Productive cough. A productive cough is one that brings up mucus from the back of the throat or the lungs. Productive coughs should not be suppressed to the point they no longer bring up mucus. Use syrup Alex. Drink lots of water if you have a productive cough. Head and Body Aches- Take tablet dolo-650 mg for fever once or twice daily

What should be a ideal blood sugar level in Diabetes?

The Ideal is maintaining both Fasting post sugar at normal range. However more important is to maintain Gly. HB less then 7.0% (7.0%)

How do Gly. HB estimated?

Gly.HB is ideally done on instrument which has traceability to DCCT (Diabetes Control and Complication trial ) In simple word those techniques which are internationally accepted are to be a used for testing. Testing for Gly.HB. Does not require fasting. Gly.HB is never to be used for diagnosis of diabetes.

Symptoms/ signs of dengue are - 1. Sudden onset of high fever 2. Severe headache 3. Pain behind the eyes which worsens with eye movement 4. Muscle and joint pains 5. Loss of sense of taste and appetite 6. Rash over chest and upper limbs 7. Nausea and vomiting for prevention from dengue - *keep yourself protected from mosquito bites. Wear only full sleeves clothes specially in the morning & evening. Children should not be allowed to play in shorts and half sleeved clothes *keep yourself protected from mosquito bites. Use mosquito bed nets/ repellents/ odomass/ kachuachhap etc. In home whichever available. *there should not be any water collection in house/ nearby house including water cooler/ bottles/ buckets/ holes etc.

1.Take paracetamol 500mg, one tablet sos upto a maximum of three tablets daily after food 2.Drink plenty of water 3.Take rest 4.If no relief do blood examination like CBC, Widal/ Typhidot test, Blood for mp/malaria antigen and Dengue antigen(NS1) test after consulting doctor 5. consult me for further advice

It could be due to fungal infection thigh 1. Apply panderm plus ointment twice daily for (1-2 week) 2. Take one tablet of levocetrizine (5mg) at bed time if itching is severe 3. Thoroughly dry the area after taking bath and keep it dry and sweat free. Apply talcum powder in the area 4. Use loose cotton under wear instead of tight synthetic one 5. Change the under wear daily and use clean and washed one 6. Maintain personal hygiene 7. Consult skin specialis tfor further advice.

YOu should ahve described your disorder clearly. Resting at night plays an important role in regulating your daily health and your level of energy throughout a day. Also, not only the quantity but the quality of sleep is also important for a healthy lifestyle. Bedtime habits do play a vital role in shaping up your lifestyle and personality as a whole. Here are many lifestyle habits that can help you to get sound sleep. 1. Make regular and a fixed sleep pattern: Going to sleep and waking up the same time every day helps to maintain an equilibrium in the sleep-wake cycle called diurnal rhythm. If this balance is maintained, then your body will be accustomed to this pattern and as a result, you will feel less tired and fresh throughout the day 2. Maintain a definite dietary regulation: You should also maintain a proper diet plan and observe the consequences/effects of the foods that you are eating and the fluids that you are drinking on your sleep pattern. Taking a good and properly nutritious diet on a daily basis will help you to stay healthy and help your natural sleep-wake cycle. 3. Ensure that your room has mild or dim lighting or darkness if you prefer: The level of light also matters at the time of your sleep. You should definitely make sure that there is a very minimal level of light or darkness around you when you try to sleep. This should be done because the lesser is the light, the more comfortable you are while sleeping. Additionally, the sleep that you will get in a dark room will also be sound and undistorted as it helps keep all the sensory organs calm. 4). Do some relaxing activities before bedtime: Depending on your choice, you should follow simple techniques of relaxation in order to calm down the brain before sleep. Like mediation, Yoga or- deep breathing exercise, muscle relaxing activity, visualizing a peaceful setting/ scenario like a calm garden or beach or mountain area. These activities are just guidelines and you can do anything that helps you to get a relaxing mood and sleep. 5). Avoid daytime naps if you can , But Having short naps of less than one hour is absolutely okay if you are excessively tired during the day or you did not have a sound sleep the previous night. But, if you are consistently having long naps during the day then you are bound to have sleep issues during the night. So it is advisable to sleep early and wake up early for a healthy schedule. 6) Regular exercise: Exercising regularly helps to improve the overall quality of sleep by making you tired at night and sending you to bed more efficiently. Light to mild exercises also helps cure sleep disorders like insomnia.
