Hello doc. Mera bro 26 year ka h.last month se he is suffering from BP problem what should i do ?
Dear, To control & maintain BP normal these are best methods to follow. • Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.

Try getting your machine caliberated, sometimes due to lack of caliberation this can happen. And ideally there should be a gap of 5-10 mins between consecutive BP readings.

Pain in chest can happen because of reflux which our doctor is calling aciditiy. Reflux can cause stress leading to palpitation where in you feel your heart beats. It is very essential to break the vicious cycle of Indigestion- acidity- stress- indigestion-acidity -stress. For this we have to work both on stress levels and indigestion to treat u.For dietary changes and home remedies you can see my health tips on hyperacidity. Pl consult it desired results are not achieved.

High bp does lead to heart attack and stroke. Why is your bp not controlled, no doctor can infuse medicines for bp or for depression, you have to be answerable to yourself only about whether you want to live or not or live with heavy doses of antidepressants which will impair cognitive functions at age 32, the most productive phase of life. Do monitor bp, take some safe medicines for bp, reduce salt to bare minimum. Go for walks, a simple exercise and meditation. Get yourself involved in productivity, to help self and society. Good luck.

Hi gs lybrate-user tips for weight loss eat fresh vegetables daily. Avoid having sugar completely. Eat whole wheat bread instead of white bread; avoid everything made from white flour and make whole wheat bread, chapattis and brown rice a way of life. Do not skip a meal and eat three meals a day. Drink plenty of water to eliminate the toxins from the system. Limit your fat intake to 2-3 teaspoons a day. Increase the fiber intake as it provides a sense of fullness and also prevents hunger pangs. Take antioxidants for protecting the body against the toxins released during weight loss. Exercise catalyzes your efforts to lose weight and even regular walking for thirty minutes can give you the benefits of an aerobics exercise. To improve the metabolism, try increasing the duration, frequency, intensity of your daily workout. Remember that maintaining the ideal weight is a lifetime commitment and not a short-term affair. Firmly believe that the pleasure of being trim and healthy is far better than the pleasure of eating unwisely.

Hello Mr Anwar, If the X ray, ECG and Echo cardio gram are all normal, then you dont need to worry much but you need to be vigilant. Take antacid Gelusil one tsp twice a day for a week and see if there is any improvement. If the pain lasts, you need to consult another doctor who is different from the one you consulted with before, in order to take a second opinion and you will have to repeat the ECG and Echocardiogram.

High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Hello Doctor, I'm 46 year old male teetotaller, under medication for hypertension. Basically I'm very vulnerable person particularly about my health issues. Last year I had panic attack and undergone all tests including echo. All seems to me normal and my physician advised to continue with same medication, ie. Tab Lodoz 2.5 mg twice daily. I'm suffering from Hemorrhoid for last 10 years and controlling the same with my life style changes and food habit. However I'm suffering from GERD as well, may be because of this. With empty stomach, in the morning I used to walk almost 90 minutes daily without any difficulty. However recently I'm experiencing shortness of breath, palpitation and feeling some blockage in the throat while climbing steps and gradients, after taking food. Is this because of GERD? Kindly advise.
