Hi yellow stains on teeth can be due to habit of gutka, tobacco, pan, alcohol and smoking. Quit these habit if you have as they cause some serious problems like cancer, submucous fibrosis and leukoplakia. In fluorosis there is white patches on the teeth.So you need to be investigated and diagnosed with the condition . After that treatment plan can be decided.

Brush atlst twice daily, use any whitening toothpaste like Colgate white or pepsodent white, brush at night with baking soda and rinse your mouth with lemon water, rub a slice of lemon to your teeth, chew few leaves of basil leaves, visit your dentist.

Take Chamomilla 30C one dose now and then start taking Nilhilinum 200 2 doses daily for 2 weeks. It will be start getting alright within 2 days. Take care. :)

Hi doctor, I have normal ulcer in mouth so one Dr. advice me to take ferrous fumarate+ folic acid tab, now after one day I found my stool become dark green. It is harmful or normal? I have no any pain in stomach or vomititon.

Change in color of stool is definitely due to iron supplement given to you, but iron deficiency doesn't manifest as ulcers in mouth. Doctor might have noticed yellow tinge in your tongue to prescribe iron supplements. Anyways don't worry about it. Get well soon:)

It often happens that one or more tender areas inside your mouth make eating, drinking or talking painful. They might deprive you of a spicy meal or of the pleasure of drinking a cup of hot chocolate. Little sores (know more about the mouth sores) that come in the way of your otherwise content life are mouth ulcers. Mouth ulcers are white or yellow open sores with an itchy red ring around them. They can appear on your lips, at the base of gums, on the soft palate, at the sides of your tongue and in the hollows of your cheeks.

They are formed on non keratinized mouth tissues and can create a constant burning sensation. Ayurveda focuses to improve a person's health through a diet regime, the use of herbal compounds and through the implementation of health practices which are mostly unheard of. This traditional branch of medicine can prove to be very effective if tried out under the supervision of a reliable practitioner. It is because of its usefulness, governments of several countries across the world endorse researches in the field of Ayurvedic medicine.

Take care of mouth ulcers in the following ways:

  1. Use a decoction of leaves: It is good to gargle with the liquor of a few kinds of leaves; certain leaves can relieve you of the burning sensation. Leaves of the guava tree or mehendi and aamla leaves can be boiled in combination with alum to extract a thick decoction. Washing your mouth repeatedly with this decoction will help you to treat ulcers.
  2. Remedy constipation: Constipation (know more, how to get relief from constipation) has been steadily associated with mouth ulcers. To remedy this problem one can take Triphala Choorna.
  3. Avoid anything piquant: Compromise on taste and turn away from hot and spicy food. Not having anything hot and peppery results in immediate relief. Tea, coffee, curd, pickles and even tobacco or alcohol should not be consumed during this period.
  4. Try Licorice: Chewing a piece of licorice can help you in getting rid of oral ulcers. Licorice is known to counter any kind of mouth decay. It also benefits the health of your teeth. When this is boiled in water, you can sip on to the resultant sweet drink and almost forget pain.
  5. Try Chebulic myrobalan: Chebulic myrobalan needs to be consumed in its powdered form. You can add honey to soften the powder. Use of this compound will surprise you with is effects.
  6. You may apply Irimedadi taila: Direct application of this oil on the ulcers can be of great use.

No you are suffering from poor oral hygiene and gum problem solution to weak gums is to maintain clean teeth and good oral hygiene . clean your teeth after every meal . brush your teeth twice a day and do listerine mouth wash regularly kindly visit dental surgeon again for check-up and cleaning and polishing of teeth.

Do's and Don'ts of Tooth Brushing!

We all think brushing is the best favour we could do to our teeth and mouth, right? No! Incorrectly done, brushing can do more damage than good. It is always advisable to check with your dentist if you are brushing the right way. In fact, a lot of periodontal diseases and issues like abrasion are due to improper brushing techniques.

Let us look at some common issues related to brushing both good and bad.

  1. Tooth brush: Pick the right one. Firstly, the length, you should be able to reach all parts of the mouth, especially the last tooth, without having to open the mouth wide. Softer bristles are always preferred.
  2. Duration: If you brush 2 to 3 times daily, each brushing should not last more than 2 minutes. Divide the mouth into 4 quadrants upper right and left, lower right and left – and spend 30 seconds on each quadrant. Longer hours of brushing can lead to wearing of the enamel.
  3. Technique: A forceful front-and-back motion can cause a V-shaped notch at the gum line, leading to a condition called abrasion. The ideal way to brush is to begin at the gumline and go about in circular motions. Ensure all surfaces, outer and inner, of all teeth are covered.
  4. Force of brushing: The idea of brushing is to remove the soft deposits of plaque, which comes off very easily with brushing. Do not exert a lot of pressure in an attempt to remove plaque. The hardened tartar or stain can anyways not be removed with brushing and will need to be removed by the dentist.
  5. Habit: Most of us are habituated to begin at the same place and go about the same routine to finish brushing. Dentists advise that it is good to begin at different places each time. As you near the end of your brushing time, you are usually tired and just want to get done with it. Changing the start and end points gives all the teeth a fair chance of getting cleaned.
  6. Storing: Do not store your toothbrush in the toilet area and with a whole lot of brushes. Both contain enough bacteria, and your brush can do without it.
  7. Timing: If you have had acidic food, wait for about half an hour before you brush. The acidic environment softens the tooth and brushing it immediately can lead to easier wearing of the enamel.
  8. Changing brush: Any time the bristles lose their flexibility, it is time to change, usually about 3 months.
