Hi, I had unprotected sex on 15th sep. It's been two weeks now. I just started bleeding last night. Now what I am confused about is if it's an implantation bleeding or I have my periods. Also as per home pregnancy test. Which I conducted twice already, one was yesterday, and one in the morning today (first pee, it came negative. What are the chances of me being pregnant? 6 Health Problems That Most Office Goers Face
A sedentary lifestyle is detrimental for our mind and body. Sitting at one place for prolonged time periods and avoiding daily physical exercise are known pain points for a majority of the population today. However, people fail to realize that these habits can lead to some serious health issues.

Here is a list of problems that can arise due to sedentary living.

1) lower back problems - you should always remember to keep your back straight while sitting for long time periods with arms bent at right angles and flat feet. A slouched back can result in herniated lumbar disks and stiff psoas muscles.

2) decreased brain function - sitting at one place for a long time without breaks adversely affects the performance of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (or bdnf), a process which is responsible for the discharge of protective genes and mood-enhancing chemicals by pumping fresh blood and oxygen to the brain. This in turn results in a foggy brain which leads to reduced concentration levels, forgetfulness and confusion.

3) blood clots - it has been proven that sitting at a desk or couch for a long time period can lead to severe deep vein thrombosis (dvt). Obese people are all the more vulnerable to the threatening condition which occurs as a result of reduced blood circulation.

4) chronic organ diseases - a sedentary lifestyle greatly reduces the fat burning capacity of the body and decreases blood flow; heightening the risk of fatty liver disease, high blood pressure, cardiovascular ailments, digestive problems and clogged arteries.

5) misalignment of the skeleton - when you sit at your desk for long hours, your posture is bound to suffer as you tend to slouch with humped shoulders and a craned neck. This eventually leads to permanent misalignment and repetitive stress injuries.

6) muscular degeneration - the less you use your muscles, the faster they degenerate. Sitting around for too long greatly weakens your abdominal muscles, upper and lower spine, neck and shoulders.

Paraphilia and its Psychological Impact

Compelling urge to get physical with your partner that is an aberration from what is expected of a person, that is to say usual genital arousal for a phenotypically normal, physically of age and consenting human counterpart, is referred to as Paraphilia or sexual perversion. This condition lives up to the standards of a disabling problem when it hampers the overall health of a person, leads to psychological setback or victimization of another individual (read more for healthy sexual life).
 
Psychological impacts of going through such a condition

1. The perpetrator of the variation may or may not see this as a condition: The person suffering from this condition may or may not treat it as a problem. In both ways, it is harmful. Knowing it as a problem and not seeking treatment or assistance can be harmful for oneself and others. Not realizing that you are subject to a serious sexual condition might propel you to commit wrong to non- consensual partners while being confident about your ways.
    
2. Social ostracization kills them: Coming in the open with a sexual fantasy that is not acceptable to the society can leave you with varied reactions. People might be incited to attack you for being unusual or they might isolate you. The latter is a probable outcome. Rarely does society guide you towards betterment in such cases. Social ostracization can result in deep rooted hatred for the world at large. 
  
3. Perpetual humiliation can push them more into Paraphilia: Humiliation for being different from the rest can make a person feel shame. Shame and constant regret cannot help an instance of sexual perversion. It can make a man or woman more obstinate. In such a situation a person would strongly cling to his or her condition feeling extremely dejected.

    
4. 'To be or not to be' haunts people suffering from Paraphilia: Many times a sufferer is not able to understand what is wrong in having objectionable sexual behavioral tendencies and fantasies. As long as your fantasies are limited to your own mental domain or are performed on a consensual partner, there are no complications. The minute an obnoxious sexual urge is performed leading to personal or public harm, a threatening hitch arises. 

5. Problems in expressing oneself can make a person suicidal: To adhere to societal norms a person might keep his desires on a leash. This kind of compromising over a long span of time will make a person depressive and may also prompt him to commit suicide.

Well. It's an uncommon problem but it makes patients suffer a lot. There are 2 possibilities- 1) fistula. 2) Bladder endometriosis. SO, we need to examine you and advise certain tests to confirm diagnosis and then start treatment.

If you have had sex after 4 days of missed period you have pretty good chances of getting pregnant. So you r advised to do pregnancy test.

During summer you try to take special care about the overall health of your body, particularly, your eyes. Here are some tips to keep your eyes cool and protected during the summer:

  • Wearing sunglasses is very important when you are outdoors as it protects your eyes from the harmful UVA and UVB light. This will help in avoiding migraines and even serious conditions like cataract.
  • Avoid midday sunshine. Stay indoors as much as possible during the middle of the day to avoid the sunshine then when the effect of the sun and ultraviolet radiation exposure are at their peak.
  • When you plan to go for a swim, make sure you wear your swimming goggles. Otherwise you might catch conjunctivitis.
  • You should not splash water into the eyes directly unless any foreign particles such as dust enter your eyes. This might damage the tear film of the eye, which protects your eyes.
  • You need to maintain proper hygiene by washing your hands and face properly as soon as you reach home so that dust or grime does not enter the eyes as their entry can result in allergies and infections.
  • You can keep a slice of cucumber on each of your eyes to relax and cool them down.
  • 6 to 8 hours of sleep are a must as they help in revitalizing your eyes.
  • Adding green vegetables, carrots, nuts, liver and fruits to your diet would be very beneficial for the health of your eyes.

Follow methods by which you can gain your desired height. 1. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. 2. Take 300 ml of rich cream milk, 200 gm of cheese and 2-3 eggs regularly. It will definitely give boost to your bone growth. 3. Sit in sun rays for atleast 8-10 minutes in morning of evenings when the sun rays are not so strong. It will help you by getting adequate quantity of vitamin-d. 4. The growth and height iscontrolled by growth hormone whichis secreted by pituitary gland situated in the brain. So take meditation and have a stressfree lifestyle. Take 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Meditation makes your pituitatry gland healthy and working properly. 5. Take 1/2 teaspoon of ashwagandha powder with milk once a day.

You are right. A woman with low levels of estrogen hormones is prone to get osteoporosis, means thinning of bones and tendency to get fractures. Bot that happens in women during and after menopausal years when the periods start getting less and stop completely but food pipe cannot digest enough calcium in food as her digestive process gets slow and she can't drink milk @ a 16 years old growing up active girl. Doctors are divided to give estrogen as a supplement I too feel about the risk of getting cancer due to estrogen supplements, rather keep the bones strong by exercise, taking supplements of calcium and vitamin d, to do day to day routine activities and to accept the truth about low estrogen and to drink milk, and curds and boiled eggs as these are simple proteins and can be digested easily. One can take lots of proteins supplements but I believe to eat and breathe nature.

Dear patient, first visit your nearby gynecologist and get confirmed diagnosis, provisional diagnosis are many like, it may be fungal infection, condylomata accuminata, pelvis inflammatory disease, some other infection of growth on your uterus or cervix, etc. For irregular periods, it may be ovarian cyst or just hormonal disturbances. Also get your husband checked simultaneously as certain infections are communicable, as certain sexually transmitted diseases can only be cured if both partners are treated simultaneously. You can take him to md (dermatology and venereal diseases)

The chances of being infected with hiv (virus causing aids) is very low while having sex using condom. However, I recommend to get the hiv test done from nearest lab if you suspect that your partner has aids.

5 Ways to Monitor and Care for Your Health During Pregnancy

Pregnancy brings with it a new set of additional responsibilities. The mother has to be extra vigilant about monitoring and caring for her health. This ensures that sufficient nutrition is being provided to the growing infant, at the same time, ensuring no harm comes through you. Listed below are some simple ways to do the same.

  1. Prenatal care: As soon as you realize that you are pregnant, it is advisable to talk to a doctor or a midwife about proper prenatal care. This could include anything and everything from prenatal vitamins to food habits to exercise to sleeping habits to periodic scanning – the whole hog.
  2. Diet: You need to ensure two things: that you are eating enough for two people, and also that everything is healthy and not harmful for the little one that gets all its nutrition through you. The diet should be healthy, nutritious, wholesome, and of course free of junk. Some pointers to a healthy diet include:
    • Include a good amount of fruits and vegetables every day; break it into five small portions.
    • Sufficient amount of carbohydrates should be the basis of each meal.
    • Whole grains are preferred to white grains, which also give good amount of fiber.
    • A good amount of proteins including fish, eggs, meat, nuts, pulses, milk, and other dairy products.
    • Ensure adequate amount of iron, calcium, and other minerals are included in the diet.
    • Avoid eating non-pasteurized dairy products, uncooked or undercooked food, and smoked seafood.
    • Folic acid is compulsory for the first trimester as it helps to protect your unborn baby from developing neural tube defects such as spina bifida. Also, it helps to prevent other birth defects, such as a cleft palate . 
  3. Weight gain: If your weight was normal for your age and height before pregnancy, expect to add about 12 to 15 kg during your pregnancy. Consult with your doctor on weight changes and nutritional aspects to monitor weight throughout pregnancy. This could change based on if it is twins, your weight before pregnancy, and body type.
  4. Exercise: There are specific exercises designed to benefit the pregnant women. Whether it is walking or swimming aimed at improving overall health or Kegel exercises aimed at improving vaginal and perineal muscles, your doctor should be able to draw up a routine. Exercising while pregnancy is being increasingly encouraged for the following reasons:
    • Improved energy levels
    • Controls back pain
    • Improved sleep pattern
    • Improves constipation
    • Improves muscles strength and endurance
  5. Lifestyle changes: With pregnancy setting in, it is time to bid goodbye to smoking and drinking alcohol. Continued smoking after onset of pregnancy has many serious complications, including growth retardation, low birth weight. Alcohol can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth, and premature delivery.

How Badly Sleeping Postures Can Affect Your Spine and Ways to Undo It

Sleep is a natural part of the daily biological functions and we spend some time of the 24 hours sleeping.

Sleep cycles are different for different persons and while 5 to 6 hours of sleep may be enough for some people, others may need up to 8 hours of sleep to feel refreshed. How you sleep is as important as the duration. This is one area which is often neglected by people.

Why sleeping positions are important?

Sleeping positions are very important as you stay in a single position for hours at a time every day, and if these habits are bad, they can contribute to spinal problems. Thus, many of the spinal problems can also be alleviated by sleeping correctly.

Some of the bad sleeping positions that may adversely affect your spine are as follows.

  • On your stomach - This position is in overall a bad position as it curls up the spine, especially where the neck meets the spine and can cause spinal deformities over a long period of time. Certain adjustments to this position can lessen the effects, but it is important to try to change habits and sleep in a better position.
  • The fetal position - Although this is one of the more natural positions and most babies are crouched up in this form in the mother's womb; as a sleeping position, it has its disadvantages as well. The lower spine is especially put under a lot of stress when someone curls up in this position.
  • On your side - Although this is safer compared to the other two, sleeping on your sides straight would cause blood circulation issues and also put a lot of stress on the relevant organs, depending on the side you were sleeping on.

In all of the cases, slight adjustments to these positions will lessen the stress on the spine and also help you sleep better.

Some of the adjustments that you can make are:

1. Sleep with a pillow between your knees to align your hips and cause less strain on the spine.
2. If you don't have sleep apnea, put a pillow under your knees to raise them while lying on you back.
3. If you sleep on your back, try to consciously change your position to sleep on the side.
4. Try and actively change your posture throughout the day to ensure good sleeping position at night.
