I am 26 year girls and my periods is not regular due to poly cystic ovary. Period is come after 4 month or 6 month.

Advanced Aesthetics
Ayurveda, Gulbarga
Ovarian cysts are small fluid-filled sacs that develop in a woman's ovaries. Most cysts are harmless, but some may cause problems such as rupture, bleeding, or pain. Moreover, surgery may be required in certain situations to remove the cyst (s). It is important to understand the function of the ovaries and how these cysts may form. Women normally have two ovaries that store and release eggs. Each ovary is about the size of a walnut, and one ovary is located on each side of the uterus. One ovary produces one egg each month, and this process starts a woman's monthly menstrual cycle. The egg is enclosed in a sac called a follicle. An egg grows inside the ovary until estrogen (a hormone), signals the uterus to prepare itself for the egg. In turn, the lining of the uterus begins to thicken and prepare for implantation of a fertilized egg resulting in pregnancy. This cycle occurs each month and usually ends when the egg is not fertilized. All contents of the uterus are then expelled if the egg is not fertilized. This is called a menstrual period medicines are m2tone syrup and pushyanug churna and ashokarishta these r ayurvedic medicines any queries inform me.

This is happening due to imbalance of hormones and improper functions of estrogen, the good news is that this is easily treatable with ayurvedic tablets. These tablets rectify the imbalance of hormones and stimulate ovaries so as to make ovulation proper so that you can conceive early. Just let me know your height, weight and menstrual cycle details viz. Length of cycle, duration of bleeding, clots if any and other symptoms if any so as to arrive at perfect prescription. Regards

6 Types of Contraceptives

MBBS, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology

6 Types of Contraceptives

Contraceptive methods of birth control are usually quite successful. By  these methods, you can enjoy your life  without the worry of pregnancy. Modern technology has led to the formulation of avid techniques of contraception; some are temporary and the others permanent. However, no matter how well these methods work, almost all of them have got a variety of side effects on your body and health.

Here is a list of different modes of contraception and the side effects they may cause:

Hormonal implants
This long term method of birth control is an effective one. The side effects are:

  • A surgery is required where rods are inserted under your skin. This might be risky surgery.
  • If you want to remove it, again another surgery has to be carried out.
  • An Infection may develop in the area where the thin rods are inserted.

Intra Uterine Device
A device is fitted into the uterus, which does not cause pregnancy. An effective method with the following side effects:

  • There is a risk of the device falling off.
  • This causes puncture in the uterus.
  • The device made of copper may lead to menstrual cramps and spotting.

Depo Provera Hormonal Injection
This mode of contraception involves taking an injection, which restricts pregnancy for a period of three months. The side effects are:

  • Gaining of extra weight, fatigue
  • Decrease of bone density
  • Menstrual bleeding along with spotting takes place

Birth Control Pills
Birth control pills are one of the most common and most effective ways of birth control or contraception. However, several side effects may be observed.

  • Causes nausea, headaches and also blood clots in rare cases.
  • In case you use other prescribed medicines along with birth control pills, severe damage may be inflicted.

Vaginal Ring
This mode of contraception is very effective. It also helps in making menstrual periods of women much lighter and in continuity. The side effects are:

  • May cause nausea and headache
  • There is a vast increase in appetite
  • There is a risk of blood clot formation.

Diaphragm
A very successful mode of contraception where a diaphragm is inserted and fitted into the vagina. The negatives of this mode are:

  • It may get out of place during sex and is likely to cause damage
  • The process can be a mess
  • Causes urinary infections

All modes of contraception irrespective of their effectiveness have got some side effects on your health. Hence, you must choose them wisely. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

First pregnancy should not be aborted unless there is some really unavoidable circumstances. If this pregnancy is unwanted you should have gone for termination earlier. Now at 3 months of Pregnancy you should continue this pregnancy.

Health Constitution - 6 Tips That Will Help You Stay Fit!

People who rarely fall ill and are able to undertake strenuous tasks are said to have a strong constitution. When talking in terms of health, constitution refers to a person’s physical and mental strength. The stronger your constitution, the healthier you are. Having a strong constitution also makes treatment more effective in case you do fall ill. Here are a few tips to help build a strong constitution.

  1. Eat a well-balanced diet: Missing out on important nutrients may not have immediate effects, but in the long run, will cause deficiencies and harm your constitution. Not following a healthy diet is also one of the most common reasons for reduced immunity. In a day you must eat 2-3 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables and at least one serving of carbs and proteins.
  2. Drink plenty of water: It isn’t enough to give your body all the nutrients it requires, you must also drink plenty of water so that your body can absorb these nutrients. Water plays an important role in every process of the body from the digestive system to the circulatory system. Water also helps eliminate wastes and toxins from your body.
  3. Avoid processed foods: Processed foods have very little nutritional value but have a high fat content. Jams, packaged juices, breads, cakes etc. are packed with additional sugar that lead to weight gain and other problems associated with it. Instead, snack on fruits and nuts and drink freshly squeezed juice.
  4. Exercise daily: Exercise not only helps you regulate your weight, it also helps tone and strengthen muscles. Exercise also makes a person more flexible and boosts the immune system. Ideally, exercise outdoors early in the morning for half an hour a day but if that isn’t possible, break up your workout into smaller sections. Simple ways of incorporating exercise in your daily life are to use the stairs instead of the elevator or walk short distances.
  5. Meditate: Your mental health is as important as your physical health. Stress has a huge impact on your health and daily meditation is an easy way to deal with everyday stresses. Set aside time at the beginning of each day to quietly meditate and ready your mind for the day’s tasks.
  6. Get adequate sleep: Your body uses the time you are asleep to rebuild muscles and repair tissues. A person should ideally have an uninterrupted sleep of 8 hours a day. Sleep deficiency can lower your immunity, cause irritability and mood swings etc. To ensure you get a good night’s sleep, create and follow a sleep routine of going to bed and waking up the same time every day. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dietitian-nutritionist.

Irregular cycles or excessive flow during cycles is a common problem seen in a large number of females. Hormonal abnormalities are the most common cause of irregular and heavy menstrual flow. Thus, you need to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and endometrial biopsy/ curretings for diagnosis of the condition and thus treatment.

Dear user. FERTILE PHASE is the phase of a female's menstrual cycle when an egg (ovule) is released from the ovaries. In humans, ovulation occurs about midway through the menstrual cycle, after the follicular phase. The few days surrounding ovulation (from approximately days 10 to 18 of a 28 day cycle), constitute the most fertile phase. So if you have ejaculatory sexual inter course from day 10 from the first day of period and to day 20, the chances of pregnancy are much more. There are many determinants of pregnancy. You should be sexually matured. Your partner should be sexually matured. The period of your partner should be in the fertile stage. Female egg and male sperm cells should be healthy enough. Then female uterus should be capable to get conceived. If all these are satisfied, the pregnancy could be a result. Take care.
