I skipped breakfast for several days and took spicy foods in dinner. Now I am feeling pain/spasm in my stomach. I am taking ocid and digene, but it is not working for me. Pain is increasing day by day. Pain is more when stomach is empty. What medicine should I take?

Hello- >you have really treated your body in a very bad manner. Due to skipping meals and excess of spicy diet it might be possible that you have developed gastritis. It may turn into ulcer too if left untreated. >try this safe and effective ayurvedic treatment to get quick relief. 1) syp amplapitta mishran 2 tsp twice daily before meals.(it will repair your gastric mucosa and will prevent it from local acid contact) 2) tab kamdudha ras 1 tab twice after meals.(it will neutralize the acid thus reduce burning and will also help the inner mucosal lining) 3) tab dhatri loha 1 tab twice before meals (it will decrease the acid production and stop recurrence) >try these for fifteen days and share your experience

In some people during summer the tiny blood vessels in the nose get a little sensitive hence the bleeding from the nose. Just pinch the nose for about 5 minutes the bleeding should stop.

I am feeling pain in the chest central region. Also the pain is there when I am doing my natural work without any extra exertion. Pain is not radiating to back or left hand. Even I am not having feeling to eat. I am having headache also. But my BP is normal. Should I go for ECG or it is due to acidity even I m getting tired by normal walking I think it is anemia.

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
most likely its muscular chest pain ..but get ecg done and get hemoglobin examined to rule out anemia.. treatment to be decided after these reports

I'm an engineering student doing my 2nd year of course in chennai. I'm staying with my friends here in chennai. In this recent past because of the hotel foods which I consume every single day I personally feel that there is something wrong with my health. As a student away from home hotels are my only source of food but with a proper diet or a healthy diet can help me compensate the ill effects of the hotel food. So I request you to suggest me a suitable diet for my age.

Calluses And Corns - Causes, Symptoms And Treatment

Calluses And Corns - Causes, Symptoms And Treatment

Corns and calluses are areas of stumpy skin caused by friction or pressure. They usually hurt when you wear shoes or walk.

Calluses generally develop on your feet or hands, and most of the time, don’t require treatment.

Corns have a hard or soft inner core. Soft corns are mostly found between the toes, while hard corns form on the top of the toes. Corns that are caused by ill-fitting shoes often reduce on wearing the right shoes.

Repeated friction or pressure causes corns and calluses on areas of skin. The pressure leads to the death of the skin, which develops a protective, hard surface. Soft corns develop in a similar fashion. Corns and calluses are not formed due to viruses and are not harmful. They can be formed due to:

  1. Regular usage of any object that puts strain on the hands, such as sports equipment (badminton racquet) or tools (hammer or gardening hoe), usually leads to calluses on the hands.

  2. Pressure from wearing the wrong footwear usually leads to corns and calluses on the feet. Calluses can also form by walking barefoot.

  3. Abnormal structures on the foot, such as hammertoe or bone spurs, can cause calluses and corns.

  4. Repeated pressure from playing certain sports can also cause calluses on the feet.

Corns and calluses on the feet are easy to spot. A callus is thick, hard and dry, and may appear yellowish or grey in colour. When touched, it will feel bumpy and more insensitive than the skin around it. A hard corn is thick and firm, while soft corns look like an exposed sore. The hard corn may have a grey centre with a light yellow ring around it.

Corns and calluses don’t hurt, but it does become painful when you are wearing shoes or walking. Fitting your feet into shoes gets more difficult due to them. Touching or squeezing the corn or callus can also be painful.

Corns and calluses don’t require treatment normally, but if they hurt, here’s what you can do:

  1. Wearing well-fitting shoes that are roomy with deep and wide toe boxes (the area covering the toe).

  2. Protective paddings, such as moleskin, toe separator, toe sleeves, etc., can alleviate pain.

  3. Soaking the corn or callus in hot water, and then gently wear down the dead skin by using a pumice stone.

  4. Salicylic acid can be used to soften the corn or callus.

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.

I am 28 years old last 5 days I have problem with my left side of testes. Its hurt more.

Homeopath, Sindhudurg
Pain in the scrotum can be the result of serious conditions like testicular torsion or a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Ignoring the pain may cause irreversible damage to the testicles and scrotum. Often, problems with the testicles cause abdominal or groin pain before pain in the testicle develops.
