Hi lybrate-user. Colour or complexion of skin depends on genetics and sun exposure. Your complexion will be similar to your parents' This cannot be changed, but tanning that occurs due to sun exposure can be treated and prevented. Use a good broad spectrum sunscreen during morning and afternoon. Also wear a cap when you go out in the sun.

Your dark complexion is genetic and soap cannot make or change it. Apply a mixture of honey and lemon , both only one tablespoon , before sleeping and then rinse with warm water. Ensure a good night's sleep and then wash your face with cool water in the morning. Apply mash ripe banana on face and leave for 15 minutes. Use rice water to help lighten your skin faster

My son who is 18 years old. His wound doesn't heal early. It takes a lot of days. Even a small scar takes at least one month to heal up. I have also done his sugar test. Reports are normal. What can be the reason?

Normal wound healing takes about 3 weeks, but some wounds can take months or even years to heal. Local factors such as the condition of the wound, infection, trauma and edema affect healing as can systemic factors -- those that affect the whole body -- such as age, general health and nutritional status. Wound infection is one of the most common reasons for delayed wound healing. Conditions that reduce blood flow and oxygenation are common causes of poor wound healing. Anemia and chronic lung disease impair oxygenation, and obesity slows wound healing because fatty tissue has fewer blood vessels. The condition of the wound affects its ability to heal. Excessive pressure or repeated trauma to the wound delays healing. Drugs that inhibit the inflammatory response, such as corticosteroids, delay healing. Above all, poor nutrition is the major cause resulting in delayed healing of wounds, The body needs more protein and calories, zinc and vitamins A and C for wound healing, so a balanced diet is essential. Food plans should include at least two to three servings of protein, at least one serving of foods rich in vitamin A, such as green or orange fruits and vegetables and at least one serving of vitamin C-rich foods such as citrus fruits, strawberries, spinach, peppers, potatoes or tomatoes. Zinc, found in fortified cereals, red meat and seafood, may also be helpful for healing.
