She was having stomach pain and back pain after taking I pill. I advise her to take proper balanced vegetarian diet. Take plenty of water to detoxify body. Take fruits and vegetables in daily diet. Do meditation for mental strength daily. She can take tablet Meftal spas three times daily before meals for 3 days. Follow this and give feedback.

I am 20 yrs old and I get irregular menses. At Least 1 month get skip in a year. Why this kind of problem?
Your problem can be due to anaemia or hormonal imbalance due to stress. I will advice you below given homoeopathic medicines for 5-6 months and surely you will be normal: Pulsatilla Nig. 30 (Dr. Reckeweg's)/ 5 drops in 1 spoonful of fresh water daily at night, Mensoaid syrup (Bakson's)/ 2 spoons in the evening. Ferrum sip (SBL)/ 1 spoon twice daily. Things to be done daily: 1. Daily intake of at least 2 fruits - apple, banana, pomegranate, papaya, grapes, 2. 2 glasses of milk daily. 3. Lots of water daily.

4 White Poisons that We Eat Unknowingly

B.Sc. Food & Nutrition, M.Sc. Food & Nutrition

4 White Poisons that We Eat Unknowingly

You might be surprised to know that unknowingly you are consuming poisons in your daily meal. Forget getting nutrients from these items, you end up troubling your health by consuming these food items. White rice, pasteurized cow milk, refined salt and refined sugar are the 4 white poisons, which are not good for your health. As they don’t have the right amount of protein, vitamins or minerals to keep your body healthy. Moreover, they increase the risk of developing other diseases like hypertension and diabetes. It has also been found via research that eating white rice increases the risk of diabetes by 17 percent.

Here is why you should stop eating these poisons:

  1. Pasteurized Cow Milk: The only good thing about this milk is that it has a longer life. The process of pasteurization keeps the milk good for a longer period, but harms its nutritive value. It removes enzymes, vitamin A, B 12 and C from the milk. The process also transfers hormones and antibiotics into the milk. Researchers have found that the process also destroys essential and good bacteria like lactobacillus acidophilus. Moreover, about 20% of iodine gets removed from the milk and thus after consuming it, you are more likely to develop constipation.
  2. White or Refined Rice: The process of refining rice leads to the removal of the outer layer and germ from it. The rice is left with endosperm, only. This layer contains starch in a huge quantity which can increase your blood sugar or glucose levels to a great extent.
  3. Refined Sugar: White sugar or refined one is full of chemicals. It has no nutritional value. The chemical is derived from sugar cane or beet. Then, the juice of this substance is extracted to get fibre free sugar. The juice is mixed with lime during the refining process. This kills all vitamins present in the juice. Calcium sulphate and sulphuric acid are also used for bleaching of the sugar. This is done to make the sugar look more white than natural.
  4. Refined Salt: Normal table salt contains iodine. This is needed for a healthy body. But refining of salt removes iodine from the salt. Fluorides are added during the process of refining. The fluorides are bad when consumed in excess. Consumption of refined salt also increases blood pressure. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dietitian/Nutritionist.

Hi. Do not worry. Pills are available for terminating pregnancy but these should be taken under guidance of a registered medical practitioner. Visit a gynaec. Do not be shy or hesitant. As early as you will visit. Easier will be the termination with pills. If you will delay too much. Procedure will become more risky. Beware of quacks and avoid any home remedies. These can be life threatening.

Shingles and Herpes - How Homeopathic Remedies are Helpful?

Shingles and Herpes - How Homeopathic Remedies are Helpful?

Virus, the bad ones, in particular, can have serious effects on the body, which a person would not like to have, in any case. This is surely true when the case of herpes zoster is being talked about. This form of herpes is commonly known as shingles. But what if there was a proper solution to this issue? When a person has blisters forming and causing a rash in a limited area, shingles is likely to be the cause of the same.

What is interesting to know too many people is the fact that the virus, which is responsible for shingles or herpes zoster is the same one which is the cause for chickenpox! This virus is never cleared out even when the symptoms of chickenpox have long left the body of the person who had it. As a matter of fact, in some cases, it does reappear and affects the body again except this time in the form of shingles. However, doctors do not know why this occurs. Is that not weird?

Most people who have the bad luck of dealing with shingles are over sixty years of age. While knowing all this is quite beneficial, what about the treatment of shingles?

When it comes to the homoeopathic treatment of shingles, there is a range of options, which can be made use of. That being said, it is of the highest importance to keep in mind the fact that medicine should only be taken as per the prescription of a trained professional in homoeopathic medicine. This is especially true as homoeopathic treatment is very subjective and under the wrong course of medication, the result is not likely to be desirable!

Arsenicum album is one of the most popular medicines from the homoeopathic field. In most of the cases, where it is ideally used, the patient is undergoing pain with a burning sensation on the affected area of the skin. When a rash begins to form, there is normally some tingling in the skin in the run up to it.

Homoeopathic treatment is so good that there is medicine to nip the problem in the bud before it has the chance to cause the affected person a whole deal of anguish. Aconite is the medicine, in this case.

Hepar sulphur and Rhus Toxicodendron are also used often over the course of treatment. The former is useful especially for people with unhealthy skin while the latter is commonly used for herpes of the face and around the joints. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a homeopathy and ask a free question.

Infertility: How Best to Treat It?

MBBS, DNB (Obstetrics and Gyneacology), FNB Reproductive Medicine
Gynaecologist, Hyderabad
Infertility: How Best to Treat It?

Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after 12 months of unprotected intercourse. For women aged 35 and older, inability to conceive after 6 months is generally considered infertility. Repeated pregnancy loss (2 or more spontaneous pregnancy losses) can also be considered infertility. Recent estimates indicate infertility affects 10-15 percent of the population in their childbearing years.

If you experience recurrent pregnancy loss, or if you have not been able to become pregnant within a year (six months if the woman’s age is over 35, 2-3 months if over 40), then you may benefit from assessment and treatment by a reproductive endocrinologist - a doctor with a special interest, training and expertise in the area of infertility. It’s a state that results in the abnormal functioning of the male or female reproductive system.

The causes for infertility could be:

  1. Male factor - erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory dysfunction, problems with quality, count and quantity of semen

  2. Female factor - tubal factor, ovulatory problems, abnormality of uterus, hormonal imbalance

  3. Antisperm antibodies

The prime symptom is very obvious i.e. unable to have baby despite of having sex without any contraceptives.

Factors affecting fertility:

  1. Age: Female fertility gradually declines in the 30s, particularly after age 35. Each month that she tries, a healthy, fertile 30-year-old woman has a 20% chance of getting pregnant.

  2. Smoking: It increases risk of getting infertile and reduces the chances of treatment.

  3. Alcohol: Consumption of alcohol is said to lower the sperm count in men.

  4. Obesity: An overweight person has a higher chances of having sperm abnormality.

  5. Workout: Less or very heavy work out is said to increase the chances of infertility.

  6. Mental Stress: Studies suggests that ovulation and sperm production may be affected by mental stress. If at least one partner is stressed it is possible that the frequency of sexual intercourse is less, resulting in a lower chance of conception.

  7. Sexually Transmitted Infections can also adversely affect the fertility of a person.

When to take further advice and course of action?

In case the women trying to conceive is less than 35 years of age, then 12 months and if more than 35 years, then in 6 months itself one needs to get in touch with the Specialist/Reproductive Endocrinologist/Gynaecologist or a Urologist for a complete diagnosis.

Many cases of apparent infertility are treatable. Infertility may have a single cause in one of the partners, or it could be the result of a combination of factors in both men and women.

There are many treatments available that improve the chances of having a baby. Such treatments include:

  1. Hormones Treatment

  2. Drugs for fertility

  3. Surgery in some cases

Also one the oldest form of medications such as Ayurveda as well as Homeopathy is said to have a wonderful treatment of Infertility. With the developments in medical sciences, there are lot of treatments available; however, such treatments sometimes become the victim of their own success causing multiple births – Two, Three or may be more.

Some Assisted Treatments are:

  1. Intrauterine insemination

  2. In Vitro Fertilization

  3. Intracytoplasmic sperm injection

  4. Donation of Sperm or Egg

  5. Assisted Hatching

  6. Electric or Vibratory Stimulation to achieve ejaculation

  7. Surgical Sperm Aspiration

It is important to understand the complete treatment before going ahead and be aware of the possible outcomes and be psychologically ready.

Please do not keep it to yourself and consult an expert. Never go for self medication!
