I suggest you follow the below for your condition: take mag phos 6x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Heat and ice packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately. Also note that its unhealthy to work from 9 am -10 pm

Hello jatin back pain can be due to many reasons it may be due to sprain.any jerk.wronh posture.disk problem.etc so if it severe then rulw out the cause by meeting a specialist. for imediate relief you can do hot water bottle sake for 15 minutes two times a day and apply remalya liniment on pain region. avoid any weight lifting.running.long travellings.jumping etc for two weeks.

Dear lybrateuser, - follow some tips to reduce pain: - wear shoe inserts for proper fitting of shoes - apply medicated bunion cap fro m chemist - take tablet brufen, 1 tab twice a day after meals - apply ice pack on it 2-3 times in a day - wear low heel shoe with wide toe area.

Kindly show me a photograph & digital x rays of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days. Bio d3 max 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am 20 years old female, I recently stared working out but for the last 4 days I am having this lower back pain on the left side and there is no exact point of pain. This is a common problem with new Gym going person. One should avoid forward bending and straight leg raising, sitting cross-legged. If it is mild it will take 1-2 weeks. You should stop Gym for few days to a week. But you may continue GYm with the afore said precautions. You can continue walker in the mean time.

I have lower back pain mainly on the right and the left side of spine. But the pain is not present on the both the sides simultaneously but it switches sometimes from the right side to the left side or vice versa. If today's night it was on the right side then tomorrow it will be on the left side. It all occur due to lifting weights in the gym by doing squats and deadlifts. Could you please tell me the category of pain or injury? Should I do stretching and walking? How much time it will take to recover completely if it recovers completely?

Please take rest from weight lifting/going to gym for some time. Rather a morning walk will be ok. Also do an x-ray of the affected area. Also do hot and cold compress alternately till the time you get relief. Also take Mag Phos - twice daily for next 7 days. There is a muscular stretch it seems. The recovery time depends on your body-immunity. For further queries get back to me.

I sit eight hours in front of computer. From last two week I feel tightness in my neck and little with difficult to move. Little with pain in front of both side of head. I think I am suffering from stiff neck. Kindly suggest to cure and to whom I have to consult.

Neck exercises. Neck stretching. Postural correction. Shoulder shrugs. Take frequent breaks at work. Core strenthening exercises. Use cervical pillow. Use back support. Self massage the back of neck.

It might be of osteoarthritis of degenerative changes in knee joints for this you can have ift physiotherapy treatment for 10 days followed by static quadriceps exercise from the therapist regarding prostate problem kindly seek urologist opinion as it is not going to affect his knee joints

If stretching is not giving you relief then firstly tk heat fermentation apply pain relief ointment and avoid long sitting and toward bending. 2nd option tk physio treatment for pain relief must for you.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference? Hi, actually the question is for help/medical advice for my wife who is now completing 50 yrs and is under phase of stoppage of menstrual cycle (i think it is called menopause) and is now having some problems of joint pains particularly in knees and also swelling in legs particularly on upper portion of both feets. Can you please advice tests and medical treatment she should excercise. Weight increase is the normal part of this phase? please advice and reply asap.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. Yes if she is around 50 years then from an orthopedic point of view you need to get her: 1) serum calcium and vitamin d levels 2) dexa scan to estimate bone density 3) swelling is not usually an orthopaedic issue unless there is a history of any injury which has led to it but thyroid profile is important to rule out as hypothyroidism can lead to swelling there are other tests to see what can be the cause of swelling but that is best advised by a general physician after clinical examination. Hi dear in your joint have less stability and you need to strengthen your muscles. Need to use crap bandage and immobilize for 2 days do --do proper icing twice in a day with duration of 15 min inform me after two days will give you further program how to straighten and what exercises you have to do take care.

. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily – Lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana? Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hi Thanks for your query and welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from Fortis hospital, New Delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - To maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - If pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - Physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - Adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - Ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - Analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - Avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Hello. We can't reverse the established pathology back, but we can control the process in the stage it is so that it wouldn't grow further. Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase your dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15min. 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you.
