Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may/maynot be secondarily infected which can be diagnosed only after proper investigations.

Sleeplessness, aggression angry mood are the symptoms of anxiety. Don't feel panic or anxious because of any problem. Consult with a psychologist near by you and take some relaxation therapies from them. This will help you. Go for a walk daily. Do some yoga exercise or any other exercise daily.

Sir, I have been suffering from bad breathe since 6 years. I consulted many dental doctors but I could not find the solution. So please give me some suggestions to get off from this problem.

Bad breath is commonly due to deposits over teeth surface. If not treated by scaling and polishing in your case that means it could be due to stomach problem. Consult a gastrointestinal physician for the same.

Homeopathic Remedies For Toothache!

MD, BHMS
Homeopath, Navi Mumbai
Homeopathic Remedies For Toothache!

Odontalgia or severe toothache is characterized by extreme pain or inflammation of the tooth and its surrounding areas. The excruciating pain that you might experience may stem as a result of gum infection, tooth decay, infection of the dental pulp, abscess and due to certain other reasons like extraction or filling of the teeth. Another key reason for extreme toothache is the fact that a number of heart problems, such as myocardial infarction and angina tend to affect your dental health negatively.

While some toothaches might occur sporadically, they might pose a danger against your overall well-being in the long run, if the condition is left untreated. Homeopathy can serve as the perfect antidote to your toothache problems and its effects are noted to be significantly higher when it comes down to the question of long-term consumption. Here is a list of homeopathic medications that might prove to be a pain alleviator for your dental complications:

  1. Hepar Sulph and Silicea: Root abscess responds positively, to both Hepar Sulph and Silicea. For fever accompanied with occasional chills due to severe toothache, Hepar Sulph is considered to be the perfect remedy and tends to significantly decrease the level of swelling and pain. On the other hand, if your face swells and there is an incidence of gum inflammation, Silicea must be used to numb the effects of root abscess.
  2. Plantago: Plantago is noted to be the most commonly prescribed medicine for toothaches and for treating sensitivity. The pain extending to the ears from the teeth receives maximum relief due to the effects of Plantago. It might have to be taken internally or applied externally depending on the severity of the toothache and its accompanying conditions.
  3. Staphysagria: Sensitivity is best taken care of by Staphysagria and resolves the problem of worsening of toothache, when any drink or food is consumed. Bleeding gums and excess salivation is also another aspect that is looked after by Staphysagria.
  4. Arnica: Tooth extraction and filling may often lead to the consequence of nerve-wrecking pain in the gums and the affected area. For this, Arnica is prescribed to assuage the nerve pain and must be taken in along with Hypericum, another homeopathy medicine, for best results.
  5. Merc Sol: Problems of halitosis and excessive salivation that tend to occur simultaneously with toothaches can be solved by a dosage of Merc Sol. Bleeding gums, looseness of teeth and sensitivity are all taken care of by the same medication.
  6. Hecla Lava: For jaw swells along with toothache, you must always opt for Hecla Lava. The effect is instantaneous and relieves both swelling and pain.
  7. Chamomilla: Chamomilla serves as the best remedial homeopathic medicine for easing heat sensitivity that is likely to worsen the existing toothache. Drinks and food, either hot or cold, can then be consumed easily because of the numbing effect of this medicine. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Homeopath.

2 Biggest Dental Mistakes that Indians Make!

2 Biggest Dental Mistakes that Indians Make!
2 Biggest dental mistakes that Indians make!

Your dental health chiefly depends on the way you care for your teeth and gums. Most Indians consider maintaining oral health a very simple thing, and end up committing quite a few dental blunders as a result. As a result, a whopping 95% of the population in India suffers from gum disease! (Source: National Oral Health Programme)

Read on to find which of these dental mistakes you are making and how to avoid them.

1. Not flossing your teeth
Flossing plays a significant role in getting rid of sticky bacteria or plaque from your teeth. The acid generated by dental plaque is the chief cause behind oral cavities, gum irritation and various other gum diseases. Flossing is essential for cleaning the space between your teeth and in turn eliminating most of the bacteria present in your mouth. This is the very reason it should not be ignored. However in India, well over 70% of the population does not floss.

2. Not regularly visiting the dentist
Most Indians have the habit of not visiting the dentist at regular intervals due to laziness, a forgetful nature or fear. Quite a few hold the common belief that if they aren’t experiencing a toothache, they don’t need to visit the dentist at all. Only 2% of Indians visit the dentist. This often puts you in greater risks of developing a gum disease, which may require painful and costly treatment in the future. So, make it a priority to visit the dentist at least once every year to ensure better dental health.

So any side effects if I remove 4 teeth's.
Dear Lybrate user, sometimes, due to lack of available space for movement of teeth in order to align them, it is necessary to get certain teeth extracted. This decision is made after carefully analyzing your impression models and full mouth xrays. So you need not worry, go ahead with the treatment and enhance your smile.

Brutish is a grinding habit and happens when a patient is under some sort of emotional disturbance. Only way to break the habit is to get a night guard made which is to be worn while sleeping. This way your teeth would be protected from attrition and sensitivity which may occur in future with regular grinding of teeth.

I had tooth brushing daily but the cavities are formed and produce smell what can I do?

I had tooth brushing daily but the cavities are formed and produce smell what can I do?
Both cavities and bad breath are one of the cause of food enlodgement in between the teeth leading to improper oral hygiene. First of visit a dentist for proper clinical examination, and proper treatment plan, for cavities get them filled as early as possible before they become deep enough reaching the pulp (nerve) causing its irritation leading to pain and infection. For bad breath go for professional cleaning (scaling and polishing) followed by maintaining proper oral hygiene by practicing correct method brushing technique twice a day with fluoridated toothpaste, flossing daily, rinsing your mouth with water after anything you eat or drink, brushing your tongue even. Drinking lots of water.

As such your diet habits should be corrected first, yellowish tooth are due to improper dental hygiene, daily your tooth brushing time should be at least 5 min. And for bad breath you can use mouth wash solutions available, and add one cap of chlorhexidine 15 ml of plain water and gargle 2-3 times. If not improved then go for scaling and cleaning.

BAD BREATH IS CAUSED DUE TO PYORRHEA AND CAN ALSO CAUSE MAJOR CARDIAC ISSUE

I am chewing tobacco last 4 years. I am not open mouth. I don't eat spicy food easily. And under my mouth there is bluish colour around it. Please suggest me Thanks.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd

You should just quit chewing tobacco. Meet an ENT specialist and let that person examine you thoroughly to rule out any extensive damage and to treat whatever harm has already being inflicted. Chewing tobacco is really harmful especially because it is known to cause oral cancer and oral submucous fibrosis (SMF). Since it is an oral habit there are many substitutes that can be used to replace the oral stimulation. Of course, since it is a stimulant you cannot get the same effect and that is worth the loss to give up this very addictive habit. A dense fibrous tissue is deposited in the submucosal layer of the soft palate and cheek, causing disabling symptoms like trismus. It contains betel nuts, tobacco, lime, catechu and permitted spices and flavors. The first four substances damage the sensitive mucosa, causing constant irritation and micro trauma to the mucosa. Chemicals present act as a toxin. The phenol in the betel nut, with its caustic burning effect, destroys the mucosa, causing oral ulcers. The betel nut also contains tannins, which act as astringents, precipitating protein and damaging the mucosa. Altogether, this substance is known to be physiologically addictive. You can use replacements like nicotine chewing gum (if you want the stimulant effect, especially in the beginning) or ordinary chewing gum, hard candy and any other orally satiating substance, especially when the urge is very strong. You would have got conditioned to the habit to different times of the day and different situations. You must particularly avoid those occasions and occupy yourself with something else attractive. You should get regular exercise, eat healthily, and get a good night’s rest every day. Visit a dentist and clean up your teeth and gums to wipe out all the reminders and damages of the habit. You may also get a thorough oral check up and treatment for any damages incurred.

There are several causes of tooth discoloration, including: Foods/drinks. Coffee, tea, colas, wines, and certain fruits and vegetables (for example, apples and potatoes) can stain your teeth. Poor dental hygiene. Inadequate brushing and flossing.... Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- Mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. for faster result you can go for TEETH BLEACHING from dentist...
