Have you had your eyes checked for any refractive error. Uncorrected refractive errors can also cause headaches.

P.R.I.C.E.: How Is It The First Aid For Sports Injuries?

Masters In Physiotherapy, BPTh/BPT
Physiotherapist, Delhi
Play video

Hi,

I am Dr Rajiv Mehta, Physiotherapist, practicing since 1999. I have been working in sports physiotherapy, Orthopaedic physiotherapy, neuro physiotherapy and Paratik physiotherapy.

Today I am going to talk about sports injuries, now many of the sports are coming up in India like cricket, football, marathons, gyming, badminton due to all of increase in this sports, injuries in related to this sports also increased. I am talking about few of the common injuries like Supraspinatus, it is a shoulder injury very common in badminton, bowling, cricket, another one epicondylitis that is also known as tennis elbow very common in tennis and cricket. Ankle sprain, very common injury in football also in marathons. Shin pain very much common in marathons, people who run in marathons get pain in their leg. Then knee injury, very common in football, cricket, marathons also. So what happens when this injury occurs, either sports person leave their sports or change their sports but believe me there is no need of leaving sports. One thing is sure that these injuries cannot be treated at home by any of the home remedie, nor rest only can treat this injuries. So visit a sports physiotherapist who will not only rehabilitate your current injury but also will prevent the further damage to that injury, one of the magical treatment for this sports injury that I am going to tell you that you should always do whenever there is any injury that is price P.R.I.C.E. P stands for Positioning, whenever there is any injury to any part first of all position it, stable it with any splint with any cast whatsoever is available, then R, R is for rest, keep that part in complete rest do not try to move that part and see whether the injury is at what extent, keep that to the professionals only. I is for Ice, immediately apply ice this ice prevent swelling of that area and reduces the injury by about 80%. C, C stands for compression apply a compressive bandage, crepe bandage over the injured area. Then E, E is for elevation, elevate the part above the heart so that swelling doesn't stay there the educate moves towards the heart. If you apply this P.R.I.C.E phenomenon in any of the injury, surely you will be back to your sports as soon as possible and trust your sports physiotherapist visit him as soon as possible, so that you can enjoy your sports, you can enjoy your prash. Regarding sports injury, I am treating many of the Olympians, many of the film stars, many celebrities and it's my promise that you won't have to leave sports neither you have to be on the rest for much of the time.

If you have any sports injury, visit to velocity fitness clinic its a velocity promise that you will gain your velocity as soon as possible.

Thanks, I am Dr Rajeev Mehta sports physiotherapist.

Supplement of vitamin A, E,C, iron, protein, proper sleep, palming exercise are trigger options for the management of eye health, Avoid day sleeping & reading or late night entertainment, prolonged use of laptop, protect your eyes from direct sunlight by wearing proper sunglasses. Proper & balanced diet with good supplements of trace elements are necessary for eye health. Frequent use of greenaries, leafy vegetables are another helping factors. Use of contact lenses are expensive and operations for the reduction or prevention of increasing eye numbers both are not suggestive. Some of panchkarma therapies like Virechan-Karma, Nasya-karma, Netratarpan, Rasaayan-Therapy may help you. If you are interested you may communicate with me on-line or chat with me in private.

Dear lybrate user, red eyes could be because of many reasons but commonly it is due to allergy or infection. You need to visit eye specialist to differentiate between the two as the treatment is different. Also get your eyes checked for any glass power

I have red eyes for last five days and it was giving alot of pblm pls help me out.
Hello, Bloodshot eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: Eye dryness Too much sun exposure Dust or other particles in the eye Allergies Infection Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. Other causes of eye redness include Colds or allergies, Acute glaucoma, Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. Management: - Try to rest your eyes if redness is due to fatigue or eye strain. No other treatment is needed. - Wash your hands, hold clean water in your hand, keep your eyes closer to the water and dip the eyes by blinking the eyelids frequently in the held water in hand. Repeat it for 3-4 times again. - Avoid watching T.V., working on computer or mobile, reading or frequently keep blinking your eyes to avoid dryness. Take frequent breaks in between. - In case there is itching, use a clean napkin or a tissue to wipe the tears and cleaning the eyelids gently. -Wear an UV-rays protected sunglasses while you are out in sun. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe’s Belladonna 30 and Euphrasia 30 - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use Euphrasia Eye drops twice daily. Revert back thereafter.
