Why is India obsessed with penis size. (remember pornographic people are actors, not real performers). There is no way to increase your penis size (except may be sophisticated plastic surgeries)

Sir, I am a male, aged 85. Got mild heart attack about 30 yrs back. Other wise I am quite OK. Every day, I walk for about 30 mts. (about 3 kms equivalent) My body mass is OK. I am a vegetarian, no smoking and no alcohol etc.Other wise I am having a healthy life. I usually consult a good cardiologist about 2 times in an year. My regular medicines are : Morning after breakfast : Imdur 30, Repolal, Razel-10 After noon after lunch : Aspisol-75 Night after meals : Repace H I some times once on 2 to 3 months gets pain in the chest and the position of pain varies time to time. The pain lasts for 2 to 4 hours. More or less acute in the first hour and gradually diminish. The pain may come in the morning, evening or mid night and so on. The only medicine I take is Sorbitrate - 5mg under the tongue. Some 4 to 6 tablets I consume one after the other each time. I suspect this as mild heart attack. After I become normal, I usually get an ECG which is shown to the doctor. I often told the doctor about this and he chides that a cardiologist alone can diagnosis a heart attacks. My cardiologist works in a reputable hospital around 50 kms away from my place. Once, about 8 yrs back, I got a chest pain around 10 AM. I left my place by car and by the time I could meet the cardiologist it took about 4 to 5 hours. By that time there is no chest pain at all. Still, the doctor insisted me to get admitted in the hospital. There were routine check ups, ECG etc. As my chest pain often lasts 2 to 3 hours only and it completely subsides by the time I could meet the doctor, it appears redundant for the trip besides scaring my family and children. If the chest pain occurs during the night, it may take even 6 or more hours by the time I could meet the doctor. So, I almost made up my mind not to disturb my wife and son at the chest pains and manage with the Sorbitrate - 5mg tablets and preying god. Under these circumstances, is there a better alternative ? Please suggest.

MD - Homeopathy, BHMS

Do you mean convulsions by saying fits??.. If yes then i will suggest homoeopathic treatment... But convulsion is a chronic and a very difficult to treat condition so better consult with full details and preparation to take treatment for long time... Minimum 3 years... But it is assured that if good medicine is selected then it will take care of fits and headache both..

Following foods may help minimize your asthma symptoms:--------------------- 1. Coffee. Have a cup of java, but go for the caffeinated variety--- studies suggest that caffeine can help open bronchial tubes for up to 4 hours, which is good because they become constricted when you have asthma. ----------------------- 2. Oranges--a study found that people with asthma wheezed less when they ate vitamin c-rich fruits, such as oranges. Not only does vitamin c (ascorbic acid) have anti-inflammatory properties, it also may boost your overall health. -------------- 3. Nuts. The vitamin e in nuts may help open your airways and reduce inflammation. Research has found that vitamin e has antioxidant properties, which help combat cell-damaging molecules known as free radicals.------------------ 4. Carrots. Carrots as well as other red, orange, and yellow fruits and veggies, contains beta carotene, which may decrease the asthma symptoms exercise causes. Your body converts beta carotene to vitamin a, which is an essential nutrient. Beta carotene also has antioxidant properties that can help ward off cell damage----------------------------- 5. Onions. Onions are loaded with tiny crystals known as flavonoids, which help fight inflammation from asthma by strengthening your capillary walls. They also can protect the lining of your lungs and bronchial tubes from damage caused by pollution. In addition to onions, apples, blueberries, and prickly pears -- all of which provide tasty ways to add flavonoids to your asthma diet------------------------ 6. Tuna. You want tuna in your diet because it contains omega-3 fatty acids and selenium. Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown in some studies to reduce inflammation. Studies also show that people with asthma may lack selenium, and that adding more to their diets may help ward off asthma attacks------------------------------------- 7. Yogurt. Look specifically for yogurt that contains probiotics -- beneficial bacteria that has been shown to reduce inflammation. Non proven evidencesuggests that probiotics seem to reduce allergic reactions, and, for some people, asthma is triggered by allergies----------------- 8. Leafy greens. Spinach and other leafy greens are a good source of magnesium and folate. Research indicates people with asthma may be low in magnesium. Likewise, an increasing amount of evidence shows that adequate folate can suppress allergic reactions and may lessen the severity. 9. Apples. Full of vitamins and phytochemicals that may improve your overall lung capacity. In a study, people who ate at least five apples a week had better lung function than those who ate this fruit less frequently. However one must eat the the peel, too. That's where most of the health-helping flavonoids, such as quercetin, catechin, epicatechin, and procyanidins, reside. Dietary changes and asthma. While you're eating better, remember to avoid any foods or ingredients known to trigger your asthma. For example, some people find that the sulfites in dried fruit sets theirs off. Also, if you're getting nutrients from supplements, talk to your doctor because some may interfere with your asthma medications.

I am 34 year male and I am suffering from low b. P. What should I do? Please help me.

MBBS, MD - Community Medicine

1. Eat a diet higher in salt. 2. Drink lots of nonalcoholic fluids/ especially salty drink e. G. Salty lassi, salty lemon water, et. C. 3. Limit alcoholic beverages. 4. Drink more fluids during hot weather and while sick with a viral illness, such as a cold or the flu. 5. Get regular exercise to promote blood flow. 6. Be careful when rising from lying down or sitting. To help improve circulation, pump your feet and ankles a few times before standing up. Then proceed slowly. When getting out of bed, sit upright on the edge of the bed for a few minutes before standing. 7. Elevate the head of your bed at night by placing bricks or blocks under the head of bed. 8. Avoid heavy lifting. 9. Avoid straining while on the toilet. 10. Avoid prolonged exposure to hot water, such as hot showers and spas. If you get dizzy, sit down. It may be helpful to keep a chair or stool in the shower in case you need to sit; to help prevent injury, use a nonslip chair or stool designed for use in showers and bath tubs. 11. To avoid problems with low blood pressure and lessen episodes of dizziness after meals, try eating smaller, more frequent meals. Cut back on carbohydrates. Rest after eating. Avoid taking drugs to lower blood pressure before meals. 12. If needed, use elastic support (compression) stockings that cover the calf and thigh. These may help restrict blood flow to the legs, thus keeping more blood in the upper body.

Feeling weakness from 15 days and headache regularly. Little bit fever. Eyes have gone yellowish.what to do
Dear, the most common causes of tiredness & weakness are * anemia * metabolic disorder (diabetes, hypothyroidism) * breathing problems (asthma, sinusitis) *digestion problems (diarrhea, gestric ulcers) * cervical spondylosis first check out your haemoglobin (hb), if your hb is low, then eat a lot of green vehetables and iron rich foods like apple, guava, sapotas (cheeku, beet root and oranges. Takeiron suppliments for increase in hb. If your hb level is normal then your all parts of body get adequate level of oxygen. 2. Take deep breaths atleast for 10-15 minutes twice a day. 3. Check out the blood sugar fasting in every 6 months. If blood sugar level, then take proper medicines for high sugar level. 4. In thyroid disorder, there is a feeling of weakness and tiredness. Check out your thyroid profile, if you feel tired even after the proper deit and medicines and take treatment. 5. In the morning, do medication regulary, do pranayam atleast for 5 -10 minute. Vegetarian vs Non Vegetarian Diet - Which is Better?

M.Phil biotech and PGD Dietitics

Vegetarian vs Non Vegetarian Diet - Which is Better?

There has been an intense debate that has been in the loop for years and has been raging back and forth regarding the deficiencies of a vegetarian diet versus the perils of a non-vegetarian diet. This heated debate can be both accurate as well as unfounded. Probably, that’s the entire reason it is still a debate. In fact, if you take a deeper look into both groups of individuals and their dietary patterns, there is space for healthy living in both.

Vegetarian Diet

A vegetarian diet is a diet wherein the food intake of a person is confined to a large variety of foods derived from plants along with milk and dairy. However, any form of meat and products derived from animals are completely avoided.

Pros

  • Vegetarians have been noted to consume lesser amounts of proteins, but they do not suffer from problems related to a high protein diet, such as osteoporosis (characterized by brittle and weak bones) and kidney failure.
  • The diet includes high levels of antioxidants such as Vitamin E, vitamin C as well carotene, which are available in vegetables and fruits.
  • Additionally, they consume lesser amounts of saturated fats.

Cons

  • Deficiency of vitamin B12 is common among vegetarians, as they are available only in meat, eggs and fish. Deficiency of Vitamin B12 can yield rare symptoms such as increased fatigue, shortness of breath and a temporary loss of body balance.
  • Lack of protein, as stated above, along with iron and zinc deficiency is also common.
Symptoms of protein deficiency can be troublesome; they include a sluggish metabolism, loss of body muscles (as the body tries to derive the regular protein intake from your muscles, thus making them weak), trouble gaining or losing weight, persistent fatigue, longer healing time of wounds and injuries, pain in the joints, drastic changes in the body’s blood sugar levels that might result in diabetes and a weakened immune system that makes you vulnerable to all kinds of diseases.

Non-vegetarian Diet

A non-vegetarian diet includes all forms of plant foods as well as foods and by-products that are derived from animals, such as poultry, fish, meat, etc.

Pros

  • Vitamin B12 is present in adequate levels since they are derived from the sources such as meat, eggs and fish. Adequate intake of proteins is never an issue in a non-vegetarian diet.

Cons

  1. Meat products are loaded with saturated fats, which increase the risk of heart diseases. Studies have shown that people consuming non-vegetarian diets:
  2. Have shorter lifespan and are more vulnerable to chronic diseases.
  3. Tend to develop diabetes, heart diseases and hypertension.
  4. Usually non vegetarians eat less amount of vegetables and fruits than what is recommended.

Sir I am suffering varicose veins in my both legs please sugest me to how to cure this disease. Thanking you sir.

PG Hom, London, BHMS
Homeopath, Mumbai
Hello varicose veins is a very stubborn condition and the only sure method to get rid of them is by surgery. Various new surgeries are available these days like cryosurgery, laser surgery or the age old resection of the vein. Medicines can keep the varicosity in check but can not cure them. You must at all times wear varicose stockings. Keep your legs elevated when ever you sit for long times and while sleeping. Elevation can be attained by keeping a pillow under your leg. Homeopathic arnica 200 and hamamelis 200, both work very well in varicose veins.
