I am a diabetic which is now fully under control with the medicines prescribed by an expert Physician. However the blood pressure has gone high viz. 110: 170 for which I have been told that it is the side effect of medicines given for controlling blood sugar. In view of above I seek necessary advise whether to continue with the diabetic medicines besides additional treatment for controlling the blood pressure. Thanking you,

There is no medicine given for controlling blood sugar that raises blood pressure to that level. Check your blood pressure again probably 2 to 3 times a week. If the readings are peristently high then you will need treatment for the same. Meanwhile, reduce salt intake in your diet, have a regular brisk walk for atleast 30 minutes daily and increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Nearly half of patients with symptoms of heart failure are found to have a normal left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction. This has variously been labelled as diastolic heart failure, heart failure with preserved LV function or heart failure with a normal ejection fraction (HFNEF) . Preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) – also referred to as diastolic heart failure. The heart muscle contracts normally but the ventricles do not relax as they should during ventricular filling (or when the ventricles relax). Reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) – also referred to as systolic heart failure

You can also make a cough syrup from baked onion juice, comfrey tea and honey. Drink it daily to get relief from a dry cough. Another option is to combine one-half teaspoon of onion juice with one teaspoon of pure honey. Swallow this solution at least twice a day to alleviate a cough and soothe your throat. this would definitely give you relief

Angiography is advised if you have some block in your heart.its a small pipe getting inserted in your blood vessel and a dye is pushed through that in your blood vessel which will detect any block.it can be diagnostic as well as curative.at the same time things can be done to remove the blocks. It is the only way to diagnose and treat blocks in your heart. if you have more trouble go for it.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details. Your cholesterol 223 mg is not very high. There is no need to take any drug for that. Diet control and exercise will help. As regards mean glucose 153.9 mg which means your HbA1c% almost 7, which suggestive of diabetes. Because diabetes is confirmed when HbA1c% goes above 6.5% You are confusing mean glucose with HbA1c% both are different. To bring glucose level down you will have to look at your diet and may be increase the extent of daily exercise. Or may be start treatment for diabetes. Thanks.
