24 weeks is a cut off for viability. If the child has crossed this post conceptional age a trial may be given in a good nicu. But meet the pediatricians in your area who are experts of newborn care and critical care in your region.

Hello lybrate user...ADHD is a highly undiagnosed condition in our society. While around 3 to 5 percent of children and young adults have this problem. ADHD is mainly of three types Inattention type, Hyperactivity Type and Combined Type. For ADHD to be diagnosed the minimum criteria for your age of 5 out of 9 symptom list in either one or both the domains of ADHD should be present. Many of the symptoms of ADHD like impulsivity etc are common with borderline personality disorder and hence it warrants a detailed interview. Once the diagnosis is clear a good approach for its treatment can be undertaken. I would suggest you to get in touch for further exploration and a detailed interview.

What is the need of vaccination for small baby's Is it compulsory to give polio vaccination.
Polio vaccine is a must. We are going to be free from this crippling disease due to vaccine. In few years we will not be required to give oral polio vaccine. Now injectable polio vaccine is need of hour. You should take your baby to nearest health centre /pediatrician for regular vaccines. Vaccination helps in checking of infection in community.

Insist for proper nutrition regime than asking for a tonic. A 3 year child should take food like an adult. Do not accept any reasons to avoid food in solid form, but take care of child liking for a particular food. Explain her importance & need of healthy food in simple words with live examples.

My son is of 4 year 6 months doing potty in clothes often may I know how to resolve the issue.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Bangalore
Potty training need to be practiced. Children often ignore urges in between Playing mind. Understand whether he knows the passing of stools. If so, no issues, as he grows it will be alright. Make him sit and try toilet before going out in the morning regularly. Few children respond well while reducing packet milk intake for few days.

Hello, My just born baby have lumps under nipples. What to do. Is that normal? What should we do for that.

MBBS, MD - Paediatrics
Pediatrician, Delhi
Hello,
My just born baby have lumps under nipples. What to do. Is that normal? What should we do for that.
I understand your anxiety for your new born. This is due to passage of maternal hormone (oestrogen )into the baby & maycause enlargement of breasts in both male &female infants. It lasts only for a few days or weeks. This is thus perfectly physiological &warrants no manipulation or treatment. This is known as mastitis neonatorum .no need to press /massage/extraction of milk. If these are massaged or milk is taken out it can lead to infection or abscess formation &may lead to damage of breast tissue which will be a great disadvantage to a female child later in life. Regards.
