Diet and lack of exercise are the two most important factors that contribute to obesity. While the modern day diet is becoming more and more full of fats, sweets and empty calories, it is becoming devoid of nutritious vitamins and minerals. The fibre content is also decreasing. One tends to stack up on junk food in an effort to take a quick bite while on the go. At the same time, physical activity is on the decline. One has increased access to vehicles and the need to walk or cycle is almost not present. Even for commuting short distances, one uses cars or two wheelers. All these things are readily contributing to this epidemic of obesity. When it comes to getting rid of the excess fat, one needs to work conscientiously and consistently on both the counts mentioned above. One’s diet has to be altered so as to include more and more natural fruits and vegetables. Processed food and junk food should be cut down to the minimum. A daily exercise regimen needs to be adopted. Exercising for 30-40 minutes for a minimum of 5 days a week is necessary. Homeopathy helps by regulating the metabolic system of the individual. There are more than 100 medicines listed in the Homeopathic literature for obesity. It is a tough job selecting the right medicine for a particular patient. One needs to take into account a lot of things before selecting the right course of treatment. These things relate to other symptoms or conditions that may be present or the person may be suffering from. A lot of importance is given to the reason, if any can be found that stimulated weight gain. This reason could be a particular illness or an event or some psychological setback in life. Being a dietitian my views: there is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

Pt with bicornuate uterus don't have problem in conceiving. Once conceived there is a chance of miscarriage ,preterm delivery or breecch and transverse presentation leading to caeserian section ,Regarding bicornuate uterus nothing to be done at present. Pt who have repeated miscarriages are advised corrective surgery for bicornuate uterus. You should undergo further investigation regarding fertility.

I am also facing severe hair fall tried everything home remedies n ol. But it doesn't worked for me. And I use Himalaya shampoo which I think is chemical free. If any medicine or something can help me out. Please tell. Thanks!

Though you being a female I will suggest you to wash your hair daily with sunsilk shampoo and apply parachute hair oil daily and take half tablet orofer-xt once a day for a month

Hello I am 30 years old woman. I have one child aged 5. My breast are big and sagging. I am very uncomfortable. Without surgery, if possible to reduce size with other medicine. Pls advice.

Hi. Here are few exercises which you can perform under supervision (if you don’t have any medical condition which is contraindicated in your case or consult an instructor who can guide you as per your case) for tightening the chest muscles: -Perform push-ups to tone the muscles beneath your breasts. Lie face down on the ground and place your hands shoulder-width apart. Put your knees or feet on the floor and make your back straight. Lower down until your chest is close to the floor and your arms are bent at a 90-degree angle, then push back up. Repeat at least 10 times. -Do dumbbell pullovers to tone your chest muscles and give your breasts a lift. While lying on a workout bench, hold one dumbbell in both hands. Your hands should overlap. Put your arms above your head then lower down until the weight is above your head and your arms make a 90-degree angle. Push the weight back up and repeat at least 10 times. -Do pec presses to lift your chest muscles. Lie on the floor with your knees bent, feet flat and your arms stretched out in opposite directions. Grab onto weights in each hand and lift them until they are above your chest. Your arms should be extended and your abs should be tight. Slowly lower the weights back down to the ground. Repeat at least eight times. Home Remedies: -Massaging your breasts with olive oil is an excellent technique to firm sagging breasts. Olive oil is a rich source of antioxidants and fatty acids that can reverse the damage caused by free radicals and prevent sagging breasts. Plus, it will help improve the skin tone and texture. Put some olive oil onto your palms and rub them together to generate heat. Rub your palms over your breasts in an upward motion. Massage gently for about 15 minutes to increase blood flow and stimulate cell repair. Follow this remedy at least 4 or 5 times per week. You can also use almond, argan, avocado or jojoba oil to massage your breasts. -In Ayurveda, fenugreek is often used to firm sagging breasts. It has vitamins and antioxidants that combat free radical damage and help lift, tighten and smooth skin around the breasts. Mix 1/4 cup of fenugreek powder with enough water to form a thick paste. Massage this paste onto your breasts and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water. Follow this remedy once or twice a week. You can also prepare a breast mask with 1/2 cup of yogurt, 10 drops each of fenugreek oil and vitamin E oil and 1 egg white. Mix the ingredients until you get a smooth paste. Apply the paste onto your breasts and rub it in gently. Let it sit for about 30 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water. Use this mask once a week. -Another excellent remedy for lifting the breasts is a mask prepared from cucumber and egg yolk. Cucumber has natural skin-toning properties and egg yolk has high levels of protein and vitamins that can help treat sagging breasts. Puree 1 small cucumber in a blender. Mix in 1 egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of butter or cream to get a paste. Apply it onto your breasts and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Wash it off thoroughly with cold water. Use this mask once a week to firm and strengthen the breast tissues.

Hi Lybrate-user, Yes, Ayurveda can help you to cure allergy and asthma. You have to improve your immunity. Allergy is a disorder in which the body becomes hypersensitive to particular antigens which provokes characteristic symptoms whenever they are subsequently encounter, whether inhaled, ingested, infected or otherwise contacted. Normally antibodies in the blood stream and tissues react with and destroy specific antigen without further trouble. Different allergies afflict different tissues and may have either local or general effects. When a person's routine life is disturbed, he gets disturbed and agitated and functioning of endocrine glands gets adversely affected which ultimately causes, at time allergic reaction/metabolic changes. You should avoid Urad, banana, oil fried food spices. Saline water gargle should be done before meals. Non-irritating and bland diet, hot water, lemon, green and leafy vegetables particularly having sour and bitter taste. You can also doing this at home: 6-7 basil leaves 5-6 cloves (powder) 2-3 black piper 1/4 teaspoon ginger paste all this add in 150 ml of water then boiling mild flame and reduce to 100 ml. Later filtered and allowed to warm o it's own. Then add 2 teaspoon of honey and drink .it gives you relieved. Hot water steam will also facilitate draining from the nose and also provide relief in pain over forehead. Every day, in morning put 3-4 drops of cow ghee in your both nasal then sleep 10 to 15 min. Hi lybrate-user, In order to increase height naturally, you have to be patient. Here are some tips to grow tall: / Stretching exercises are very helpful. These should be done regularly since it helps in stretching the bones and cartilages as well. These exercises are also good to build up a well-toned body. / Simple activities like jumping and running stimulate the body to grow tall. Playing volleyball, basketball, and swimming are other activities to increase height naturally. / Sleep also has an effect on bone growth, so in order to increase height naturally, first make sure that you sleep at least eight hours at night. Your diet should be especially rich in calcium and proteins, along with other nutrients. The foods to increase height include dairy products, legumes, fruits, vegetables, nuts, eggs, fish, and meat. Citrus fruits (such as oranges and lemon) are rich in vitamin C and help in calcium absorption which is needed to grow taller. Avoid eating too much of carbohydrates and fats in your diet. Drink eight glasses of water every day as it helps in clearing toxins from the body. Be confident: height is not the only aspect that matters. Actually this spots fades away with time..u can use coconut water on that affected area..also u can use calendula ointment it's a homoeopathic ointment...use twice daily...bt I think this will fade as as the time goes by..
