- use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water or hydrogen peroxide to keep the area clean. Avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums. - eat a balanced diet and limit snacking between meals. Carbohydrates and sugars feed dental plaque. - try an oral irrigation device, commonly known as a" water pick, to clear debris from around the gum line. - you may need deep cleaning along with surgical curettage or gum strengthening procedure. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser.

MBBS
General Physician, Trivandrum
You are most probably suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. In this condition the frequency and urge to go to toilet increases especially just after meals. Ibs can be caused due to many reasons out of which stress is one important cause. When your life and body are stressed, it can lead to ibs. You need to practice deep breathing and relaxation techniques. If your symptoms are not improved, you need to take prescription medication for a period of time.

Hi. I understand your concerns. You may be having asthma. Asthma is a chronic allergic problem causing cough, breathlessness wheeze etc. You will need to undergo pulmonary function test which is needed for diagnosis as well as to assess severity of disease based on which treatment can be started. Consult a pulmonologist for the same. Hope your questions were answered. Thanks.

Hello- You are suffering from Grade IInd erectile dysfunction. The causes of impotence varies. Erections result from a complex combination of brain stimuli, hormonal actions, and blood vessel and nerve functions. Any interference with with these factors can lead to impotence. Other contributing causes of impotency include alcohol, cigarettes, arteriosclerosis, sexually transmitted diseases, high blood pressure, hormonal imbalances (such as low levels of thyroid hormones) or abusive masturbation. Fortunately you can completely recover with the help of medications and exercise schedule. No need to bear this pain as treatment can save your marital life.

Hello doctor. I am 23 years old. And my penis is getting bigger day by day. Now the size of my penis is about 7 inches. It was 5.8 inch before 6 months. Is this any problem or its normal condition of my penis.

7 inches on erection is an acceptable length, however a recent change in 6 months can be due to some hormonal imbalances. I would advise you to visit an endocrinologist, get examined and investigated for the same to rule out any possible abnormality.

My brother is 16 years old and he is having psoriasis since 5 years. Many doctors have been consulted but nothing hap...
Psoriasis is manageable, the traditional approach is to start with the mildest treatments topical creams and ultraviolet light therapy (phototherapy) and then progress to stronger ones only if necessary. The goal is to find the most effective way to slow cell turnover with the fewest possible side effects coupled with a dietary therapy specially designed to manage psoriasis. Researchers found several studies linking obesity to an increased risk for psoriatic disease. These studies indicate that a higher body mass index (bmi) is associated with an elevated risk for developing psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, as well as increased disease severity. Obesity may provide the nudge that triggers psoriasis in people who are already predisposed to it, researchers also found that in overweight individuals, losing weight may improve the effectiveness of treatments. So if you lose weight, you may be reducing fuel for the fire.
