As per your complains and symptoms you may have cavity with pulp exposure. Consult the dentist for proper investigation. You may need either filling or RCT. Brush regularly twice daily. Rinse after every meal.

U better visit a dentist. As no tooth paste can cure cavity. And if it's pyrrhoea in your mouth tooth paste only can't help you out.

Do whitening toothpastes whiten teeth more than regular toothpastes? Is drinking fruit juice as good for you as eating fruit?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
All toothpaste have nearly similar ingredients like Abrasives, Fluorides, Surfactants, Antibacterial agents, Flavourants, Remineralizers, Fluoride, Diethylene glycol, Triclosan etc. Only the wrong brushing technique that we follow harms our teeth and gums. So consult your dentist, learn proper brushing technique, Brush your teeth twice a day, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush to protect your teeth and gums from plaque and calculus. Floss your teeth inter dentally once a day. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Consume a healthy diet rich in vegetables and lean protein. Eating fruits is much better than drinking juices. Reduce your intake of sugary foods and beverages. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Drink plenty of fluoridated tap water. Drink not consume alcohol drinks. Don’t smoke.

Whenever I brush my teeth my gum starts bleeding slightly and I feel a little pain for a long time what should I do?

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Bleeding gums, most commonly result from gum inflammation (swelling) due to tartar / plaque deposition on teeth. Brush twice a day, rinse vigorously after every meal and get a professional cleaning of your teeth done. That should resolve your problem.

My upper and lower left molars are really hurting. How can I control the throbbing pain. I'm scared to do root canals. I'm female. 51 yrs.

BDS
Dentist, Dehradun
Hello You need to visit. Dentist first of all. They will take an x ray and tell you whether you really need root canal treatment or just simple filling. If your tooth needs root canal treatment then also nothing to worry because the dentist will anesthize that area and it wont hurt plus they will prescribe you painkillers and antibiotics. Go ahead and get your treatment done.

I am 40 yrs and my teeth is upper open bite and slightly upfront . It is possible to correct the teeth in this age ?.

BDS, MDS Prosthodontics
Dentist, Mumbai
If the tooth is out because of bad gym health it may not be possible without gum therapy/ root canal/ extraction and bridges. If gum condition is healthy then braces can be done at even 40 years of age.

Use proper brushing techniques with a fluridated toothpaste. Brush, floss n use mouthwash twice daily. Massage your gums with your finger tips after brushing. Keep your tongue clean. Rinse your mouth well after each meal. Visit your dentist for dental checkups every 6 months to detect n prevent dental probs and also get scalling done once in a year.

Hi my teeth showing always yellow. Give me some suggestions. Or any treatment is their tell me.

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- Mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. for faster result you can go for TEETH BLEACHING from dentist...

There are many causes oc dry mouth most common are -dehydration -diabetes -radiotherapy -taking medicines for a prolonged period as most medicines have a side effect of causing dry mouth -professions where someone has to speak a lot n continuously we need to rule out the actual cause by taking a brief history n some lab investigations. I hope it will help.

Dear Doctor, I have tried many tooth pastes and I used to do brush for minimum of 15-20 minutes, but still my teeth are getting yellow. I am working in a MNC company and you can understand who embarrassed it feels in high society and colleagues. So kindly suggest me what to do for brighten and white teeth. Also some stones type thing in the deep of my inner teeth.

BDS
Dentist, Kolar
Naturally our teeth colour ranges from pearly white to pale yellow so everyone cannot hv white teeth. Get scalling n polishing done by dentist. If you r not happy with your teeth shade later, you can get bleaching done by dentist which'll lighten your teeth by 2-3 shades. Alternatively you can use a teeth whitening toothpaste such as snowdent after scalling. Whitening gels used daily along with customized dental trays provided by dentist r also available in the market. Avoid heavily coloured foods, tea n coffee, cool drinks, smoking n tobacco products as they stain teeth.

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)

The black spot on your teeth is tooth decay or cavity. Once it starts it goes deeper, cant be stopped. You need to go for filling immediately. Otherwise pulp will get infection and you will have more pain and infection.
