Does inserting or thrusting or rubbing the penis in and around the vagina cause pregnancy?

BASM, MD, MS (Counseling & Psychotherapy), MSc - Psychology, Certificate in Clinical psychology of children and Young People, Certificate in Psychological First Aid, Certificate in Positive Psychology
Psychologist, Palakkad
Dear user. Inserting or thrusting or rubbing the penis in and around the vagina will not cause pregnancy. To cause pregnancy, your penis should enter inside the vagina and ejaculate semen within vagina. This could cause pregnancy only if all other factors are also satisfied. Take care.

Physiotherapy - How It Benefits Sportsmen?

What role does physiotherapy play in treating injuries?

The recent t20 world cup 2016 match between India and Australia held in Mohali saw some action as well as injuries. Yuvraj Singh faced an ankle sprain while he was batting and was helped by immediate attention by a physiotherapist to resume the winning match.

What are the types of injuries related to cricket?

The most common injuries related to the gentleman's game are:

How does physiotherapy help an individual?

A physiotherapist assesses your muscle strength and the range of movement in your joints and advises on techniques and exercises to bring back the mobility of your injured muscles or inflamed joints.

Physiotherapy is a physical therapy that takes care of the overall well-being of the body esp. The muscular part which is most affected when you play or exercise. Three of the main approaches a physiotherapist may use are:

  •   Education and advice: Tips and hacks for ensuring physical well-being of a person
  •   Movement and exercise: Aids and exercises to ensure good physical health
  •   Manual therapy: A therapy of manual massage and body movements to relieve pain
  •   Other techniques: These include acupuncture, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (tens) and ultrasounds.

There are numerous sports related injuries that can be effectively treated through physiotherapy. The therapy followed is entirely dependent on the kind of injury caused due to the sport.

The physiotherapist initially asks you some questions to know about your injury, medical history, family health records, prevalent allergies, and other such related information. Based on this initial examination, your physiotherapist will design a therapy plan for a test period to see if it is working or not.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

I'm really very worried. I'm having nausea and vomiting through out the day and my head is spinning. I'm feeling extra sleepy and tired. Am I pregnant? I haven't undergone any sexual Intercourse but I helped my partner in masturbating and fingered myself with the same hand. Is there any chance of pregnancy?

Dear Lybrateuser,Chances of preg in your case are extremely remote. Your symptoms could be due to other causes also. If overdue by 10 days then do a UPT.

IVF is costly and if you spend money then should go for stimulated cycle IVF, however if you want natural cycle then you have to see whether you are ovulating regularly.

Hello lybrate-user! I think you're asking advise regarding safe abortion method. But abortion medicine can't be prescribed online. And getting an over the counter abortion kit is not safe at all without doctor's advise. So, it would be best if you visit a gynaecologist for this. Also don't delay, cos that would decrease your options getting it done with medicines.

Is it ok to have blood clots during the initial days of menstruation. .does this affect fertility in any way.

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology

Is it ok to have blood clots during the initial days of menstruation. .does this affect fertility in any way.
lybrate-user, During menstrual cycle the thick uterine lining breaks down and bleeding occurs. Chemicals to break clots are also secreted, but if flow is more, some clots do escape. That is quite common. It has no bearing on fertility. Thanks.

Excessive production of prostaglandins is one of the major causes for most signs and symptoms of dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea is almost wholly due to this and may be due to a tight cervix, the mouth of the uterus. Such cases improve totally after a normal child birth due to stretching of the uterine musculature. Secondary dysmenorrhea, however, needs proper investigating into in order to know the causative pathology. The underlying pathology needs to be treated to control painful menses. Pain-killers can only offer temporary relief. The common causes of secondary dysmenorrhea are pelvic infections, congestive or inflammatory conditions within the pelvis like endometriosis, uterine tumors such as polyps or fibroids, and the presence of a foreign body such as an intrauterine contraceptive device [IUCD]. Homeopathy has a promising role to play in cases of dysmenorrhea. The medicines are known to reduce the severity of the pain as well as to treat the cause, whenever possible. Every patient with dysmenorrhea may present with a different set of individual symptoms, which are carefully noted while deciding the homeopathic line of treatment. Homeopathic treatment is strongly suggested. You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance
