I am 28 years old and i had an abortion in 6 months as baby had major cardiac congenital defect in 2nd month of pregnancy I had cough and cold. Could it be because of the cough and cold that my baby had this defect?

The only way to link the cough and cold to the defects in the baby is to prove that it was due to rubella infection. You can go for torch igg and igm tests. Usually it also causes a rash starting behind the ears with swelling of glands in the neck. If you remember having those then you must do the test. Otherwise some chromosomal errors can also cause major heart defects in the baby. Fortunately, they are rare and not repeated. In next pregnancy you have to avoid drugs, food additives, toxic fumes and others smoking in the same room. Take folic acid regularly even before you conceive.

Weight reduction: regular yoga practices and exercise are vitally important, especially for seniors and long standing obese. But only these two will not lead to weight loss until cut back on sugars and carbohydrates and weight reducing specific diet and herbal supplements. Sugar should be restricted to only five tea spoon=25 gm daily intake and carbohydrates are to be in complex form. If interested for full regimen, inform us.

Simanta have patience .the margins will come close and heal in due course . rinse with warm saline morning evening and apply sensoform gum paint . maintain oral hygiene and rinse with listerine moth wash before sleeping .

Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. I would advise to not itch or irritate the same for it may get infected, and worsen the issue. You can clean the same with warm water, and apply any antiseptic ointment containing aloe vera. Should there be any pain, you may apply an alternating heat and cold treatment for couple of minutes that may alleviate it. However, should it not heal still or you notice more of such pimples coming up or its color as being significantly different than the usual breast skin color or any kind of severe pain/ inflammation etc all, you should visit your OB/ GYN right away for a clinical evaluation and traction thereof. Simultaneously, keep your diet and lifestyle streamlined, and stay well hydrated. You can take tomato soup to which fresh herbs like garlic, turmeric, black pepper, ginger, coriander leaves and oregano has been added, once daily. Your doc shall be able to advise further on, in particular, once he/ she gets to clinically examine you in person. Hope this helps. Do take care, and all the very best. Sincerely

A curved penis simply can be a result of individual anatomy. The direction that an erect penis takes depends on the proportion of crus (penis under the skin) to exposed penis. Men with a shorter crus, and thus a longer penis, are more likely to have an erection that points downward, while an erect penis that has a longer crus will probably point outward, or even straight up. Sometimes the penis also bends to the left or to the right. I think in your case bending may be due to short crus. In the vast majority of cases, the curve falls well within the norms of most men and should not be a deterrent for a relationship. If, however, your penis has a pronounced curve or bends sharply to the left or right — especially if penetration is impossible or if an erection is painful — you should see a urologist.

Hello, you should take a homeopathic tincture called arnica montana and mix 1 tsp in 1/2 cup of water and apply upon the face on the beard and the mustache area with a cotton swab. Then use the razor movement technique. Take sulphur 200, 5 drops once in a week. Take pituitarinum 1x, 1 tablet daily for 15 days. Repeat the process every third day. Revert me after 1 month.

It's a kind of rakta' vikar caused by vitiation of pitta. Some simple remedies can set it right slowly but steadily. If followed with food protocol suggested, the correction will sustain for long time. Any allergy, subcutaneous bleeding, skin problems etc can be solved even with haridra, neem and sugarcandy (if not diabetic) preparations and some other herbs without side effects. Take simple veg home made food, salad. Avoid all types of too oily, ghee prepretion, fast, spacy, junck foods. Do arobic excersices, yoga, tadasan, pachimotanasan, sarvangasan (learn from guru do not try salf without learning)

Hi I am having trouble with gaining weights since I was 16. So I started gym in 16 and do it about 4years not regular. But my weight never go above 57. I tried alot eat alot. I take whey protien supplement two times. 1st is locally made up not original but works well without any side effect. And the second one is origin number one brand ON I get it fron new your. Works great. But not gain any thing else. I got stomach infection 2times in 2years because of eating too heavy things in one time. Sick for a weak. I quit the gym in 2016 january. Because of negativity not gaining weight. I feel to dizziness laziness not energized every time every day. Pls help me.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help.

Ms. lybrate-user you need to avoid spicy and very oily food; Take a course of Proton pump Inhibitors (PPI ),on a valid prescription- Avoid any Alcohol or Smoking if you are used to these 2 things; Avoid milk and take yogurt in that place. Avoid mental and physical stress-do not take pain killers of the class Steroids or NSAIDS ,do not take fruit juices -avoid Banana and Apple, for more help

Hi lybrate-user 1. Add fiber to your diet constipation distends your belly, add veggies and fruits to your daily diet to relieve you of constipation, reduce intakes of refined cereals like maida, noodles, pasta and whole grains instead add dalia and oats. This would relieve you of constipation and bloat to give you a flat tummy. 2. Decrease sodium intake sodium retains water in the body and hence your belly swells up, reduce intake of junk food as it contains a lot of sodium. Stop adding extra salt to dishes, also packaged and processed food contains a lot of salts so better avoid it. 3. Increase potassium foods rich in potassium help you get rid of balancing sodium, fruits are very good source of potassium, adding them to their daily diet not only provides this nutrient but also increase the fiber content of your daily intake 4. Avoid sugar alcohols we do not completely digest these low-calorie sweeteners usually found in flavoured low-calorie drinks, diabetic and sugar-free foods. Bacteria in a large intestine ferment during gas and distension so check food labels and avoid sorbitol, xylitol and lacitol. 5. Increase liquids drinking plenty of liquids helps flush out toxins from the body. Keep yourself hydrated with at least 8 glasses of water, also include lassi, coconut, water, lemon water in your daily routine. Make sure to include homemade soups only, as packaged soups are not that nutritious and contain added sodium in them. 6. Carbonated beverages and alcohol these give you extended bellies and your dream of flat tummy falls flat. Alcohol gives you empty calories with zero nutrition. 7. Probiotic curds include low fat curd in your diet regime as it contains live bacteria which tame bloating by increasing intestinal motility. 8. Method of cooking no doubt salads and sprouts are good for our health but if experience distension with them then saute, blanch or steam them also fried foods are best to be avoided not only because of their high-calorie content but also because frying leads to changes in oil composition which may result in bloating. 9. Avoid chewing gums and candies while chewing them air enters our digestive system, giving us feeling of bloating, also candies are zero in nutrition but contain loads of calories. Also, eat slowly as gulping down increases air passage to the digestive system 10. Individual tolerances some individuals are more intolerant to certain foods like radish, capsicum, tea, cauliflower etc, so with your own personal experience omit them from your diet.
