I am a 20 year old Boy. I used to. Masturbate every day. Does it cause acne on face?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
I am a 20 year old Boy. I used to. Masturbate every day. Does it cause acne on face?
There is no proven fact regarding this statment that DOES FREQUENT MASTURBATION TRIGGERS ACNE IN MALES but I come across ssuch questions frequently whether it is internet or in Physical. The common theory is that when you become aroused the surge of testosterone triggers Male androgens which are responsible for end reactions in the acne formation cycle. This theory makes sense to me considering I have also heard that in some males, heavy weight lifting workouts that increase testosterone production also can trigger acne. However, another theory that I find interesting is that it’s not the hormone surge, but the nutrients lost when you ejaculate. Apparently semen contains Vitamins B6, B12, and E; Calcium; Magnesium; Selenium; and Zinc. Zinc in particular is a mineral that is really important to healthy skin and its deficiency has a strong link to acne. So I can see how this theory would make sense, especially because I have heard that, in general (not acne related), that many men find that they have more overall energy when they hold back. On the other hand , it also doesn’t make sense to me, because your body is always using these nutrients to create the sperm and semen inside your body whether you masturbate or not. Although may be production goes into overdrive afterwards in order to catch up, and if you are masturbating every day or multiple times a day, then you really are draining yourself of life force and vital nutrients. In short, I don’t know the truth and since there are no studies confirming anything, we only have speculation. So at the end I can only advice you and all those teenagers out there reading my suggestions that you yourself try experimenting with cutting yourself off for a while to see what happens as there is no proven fact regarding any relation between masturbation and Acne.

How to Deal with OCD

CERTIFICATE COURSE IN HOMOEOPATHIC CARDIOLOGY, M.D.(HOMOEO.)PSYCHIATRY, B.H.M.S.(BACHELOR OF HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINE & SURGERY.)
Psychiatrist, Delhi
How to Deal with OCD

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is also known as OCD. It is a mental ailment that causes specific changes in the brain as well as the behaviour of the patient. It can also cause severe anxiety and lead the patient to consume a lot of time for completing even the most normal tasks. These obsessions are like thoughts, images and even videos playing where the cause of a certain action becomes more profound with the number of imagined risks if it is not done in a specific way, as per the mind of the patient. These turn into repetitive actions undertaken by the patient, where these actions are known as compulsions.

Hence the term: obsessive compulsive disorder. Washing, cleaning, losing control, contamination fears and more are only a few of the thoughts that plague patients suffering from this disorder. While this disorder may not have a specific cure, there are various ways in which it can be managed. Let us look at some of these methods.

Causes of OCD

The exact cause of OCD is unknown. It is generally considered unlikely that OCD develops purely psychologically as a consequence of the way we are brought up.

  1. Genetics and Physiology: It is generally accepted that OCD arises from differences in the physiology of the brain in people with the condition.
  2. Serotonin: Lack of serotonin activity appears to be involved in causing OCD. Serotonin is a calming and inhibitory neurotransmitter, one of its main actions is to control and put the brakes on painful, worrying or anxious thoughts.
  3. Traumatic Life Events: Traumatic emotional events such as bereavement may trigger or worsen OCD in people who already have a tendency to have the condition.

Treatment of OCD

For best results in treating this troublesome anxiety disorder combine brain-chemistry balancing approaches with psychotherapy techniques.

  1. Nutritional Therapy: Try tryptophan and St John's Wort to increase serotonin. Rhodiola has been shown to help generalised anxiety disorder however Rhodiola has the ability to raise 'brain energy' and therefore hypothetically may exa-sperate OCD symptoms.
  2. The Inositol Treatment of OCD: Inositol, one of the B vitamins, has been found effective in treating OCD. Inositol is used in biochemical processes that affect serotonin receptors.
  3. Psychotherapy: This is also known as discussion or talk therapy where the patient is allowed to engage with a therapist who is usually a psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist. The doctor will help the patient in first of all, becoming aware of the problem by helping the patient carry out various tasks in a controlled environment. These tasks will be timed and then relayed to the patient before the exposure therapy begins, where the patient will be taught to build a better quality of life. This a long term and time taking process which can also involve group sessions and sessions with the family members. Also, this method takes a lot of practice so that the patient learns how to regulate the obsessions and stop the compulsive behaviour gradually.
  4. Exercise: Numerous studies have shown the benefits of exercise upon mental health. So, a minimum of 20mins of daily exercise can help you a lot.
  5. Relaxation Training & Meditation: Learning meditation and relaxation techniques may enhance one's ability to control anxiety and one's thoughts in general.
  6. Medication: There are various kinds of medicines that can be prescribed for these patients. Anti-depressants can help the patient in overcoming the fears and anxiety that a person feels when the wheels of one's imagination begin to turn towards obsessive thoughts. This will also help in tackling the hopelessness that the person feels when faced with the so called depressing outcome of not bowing to the compulsive habits.

Putting It All Together

  • Follow the diet for serotonin deficient depression, and GABA deficient anxiety.
  • Consult with a qualified therapist using behavioural rather than analytical techniques.
  • Do some repetitive mind-occupying/filling as opposed to mind-emptying meditations everyday.

The eruption of pimples, acne, black heads, black spots, scars, pores and oily face are due to excessive sebum secreted by sebaceous glands and hair follicles especially on the face. Precautions- * Don't scratch or pinch your pimples. This will cause more damage---causes scars, pores and black spots. * Avoid fried and oily foods. * Prefer fruits and green vegetables. * When you apply any cream, sun screen and the like, clean your face at the earliest, so that there will be no adverse action of the chemicals on the delicate skin of face. *For your information, many skin creams (mostly fairness cream brands) are considered harmful and banned by Central Govt, Health ministry during March, 2016. The Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) supported the ban. *Your skin ‘breaths’ through its pores which are not to be closed for long. Blocking pores by creams may cause more pimples. HOMOEOPATHIC medicines are taken internally. Hence, NO DIRECT CONTACT with your delicate and sensitive skin, thereby no problem of skin allergy. Homoeopathy has good treatment for your problem without causing adverse effects. The medicines work internally, tackle the root cause of the problem unlike face cream which is a surface treatment. Take Antim crd 200—once daily in the morning.

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

I am 43 years and having throat problem frequently and ulcers also visible,
Pls advice.
Ulcers in mouth: It is also known as apthus ulcers. They are very painful and restrict chewing and swallowing due to pain. Mainly it is due to Dyspepsia, consumption of heavy Antibiotics which kills normal Bacterial flora which makes vit B complex for our body. It is also due to mental tension. I have seen so many exam going students having ulcers in mouth and when exam is over it is cured. It is different from cancer ulcer as cancer ulcer is not painful and it doesn’t heal. High dose of Vit B, pain killing oral paste, Tratment of constipation, Stopage of Heavy antibiotics added to it, etc as per requirement helps the pt.
