Leg exercise kijiye daily I hope you will fit and fine………………………………………………. Basic Leg Exercises The following Basic Leg Exercises should generally be performed 1 - 3 times per week provided they do not cause or increase pain. Ideally they should not be performed on consecutive days, to allow muscle recovery. As your strength improves, the exercises can be progressed by gradually increasing the repetitions, number of sets or resistance of the leg exercises provided they do not cause or increase pain. Swiss Ball Squats Begin this leg exercise in standing with your feet shoulder width apart, your feet facing forwards and a Swiss Ball placed between a wall and your back (figure 1). Slowly perform a squat, keeping your back straight. Your knees should be in line with your middle toes and should not move forward past your toes. Then slowly return to the starting position maintaining good posture throughout the exercise. Perform 1 - 3 sets of 10 repetitions provided the exercise is pain free Lunges Begin this leg exercise standing with your back straight in the position demonstrated (figure 2). Slowly lower your body until your front knee is at a right angle. Keep your front knee in line with your middle toe and your feet facing forward. Then slowly return to the starting position maintaining good posture throughout the exercise. Perform 1 - 3 sets of 10 repetitions provided the exercise is pain free Hip Abduction Sidelying Begin this leg exercise lying on your side in the position demonstrated (figure 3). Keeping your back and knee straight and foot facing forwards, slowly take your leg upwards tightening the muscles at the side of your thigh / hip (abductors). Hold for 2 seconds and then return to the starting position. Perform 1 – 3 sets of 10 repetitions on each leg provided the exercise is pain free. This exercise can be progressed by adding an ankle weight to your ankle for increased resistance.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

I think application of medicated oil will help you a lot. Just 10 minutes before bath (if no time in morning, do when you get back from office, apply the oil to whole body and have a bath. If you get hot water then hot water bath is much better. The oil name is" arthritic oil" of" viswanath pharmacy" it cost about 300 rupee. The best thing it's not sticky and don't have fowl smell. I suggest it because it is the oil which gave me a better feedback from patients than other oils. If you can buy it its good, you will get better soon.

Arthritis? Types of Arthritis? Food to eat and food to avoid for Arthritis.

Arthritis means Joint inflammation caused due to stiffness, swelling, pain in the joints. People from all the ages, sexes, races can and do have arthritis.

The most common type of Arthritis is osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid.

Best food for Arthritis-
Low Fat Diary products like Milk, Yogurt, and cheese are packed with calcium and vitamin, both are found to increase bone strength.

Have oily Fish like Tuna, Salmon, sardines for Arthritis. Having marine life for your meal could calm arthritis- Inflammation.

Onion, Garlic, Leeks have been proven to fight inflammations.

Have unsalted nuts and seeds.

Have fresh fruits, especially pineapples, cherries, oranges, kiwi fruits, berries.

Have fresh vegetables like carrots, beets, and zucchini.

Whole grain cereals.

A well-balanced diet rich in antioxidant, i.e. Green, red, yellow, orange fruits, and vegetables goes a long way in preventing the progression of Arthritis.

There are few types of food to be avoided during Arthritis which can worsen Arthritis symptoms.

Aerated Beverages, Eggplants, caffeine, Read meat (Fatty meat),Tomatoes, Whole fat milk, Junk food, Alcohol, food with high sugar

Exercise
It was thought that people with arthritis should not exercise because it would damage their joints when the arthritis is under control people with arthritis can improve their health and fitness through exercise, without hurting their joints. It can give you more energy, help you sleep better, control your weight, make your bones and muscles stronger, decrease fatigue, If you have arthritis, you have more reasons to exercise:

Keep your joints from becoming too stiff.

Keep the muscles around your joints strong.

Keep bone and cartilage tissue strong and healthy.

Improve your overall fitness.
What happens without exercise?

If you don't exercise, your muscles become smaller and weaker, and your bones can become more brittle. Many people with arthritis keep their joints in a bent position because it's more comfortable. If the joints stay in one position for too long (without movement) they can become stuck in that position. If this happens, you may even lose the use of those joints. Exercise moves these joints and helps keep them as flexible as possible.

I think you are suffering from osteo-arthritis. Which causes caries of bones. Synovial fluid dried. And inter articular joint space diminished that's why the tick sound. Cartilage also damaged. You need to take homoeopathic medicine. It's a chronic trtmnt you have to take it for 6 months-1 years atlst. In 2-3 months you will feel better than before. And continued the trtmnt. You will b able to walk normally.

Dear Lybrate user Back Pain becomes common complication pre or postnatal. Anesthesia while c section it's part of that procedure shouldn't be bothered. Back pain can be curable with accurate back exercises and healthy nutritional diet. Sometimes when back muscles got tight or weak cause back pain. Dear, low back pain are often referred for physical therapy for four weeks as an initial conservative (nonsurgical) treatment option before considering other more aggressive treatments, including back surgery. The goals of physical therapy are to decrease back pain, increase function, and teach the patient a maintenance program to prevent future back problems. Common forms of physical therapy include: 1.Passive physical therapy (modalities), which includes things done to the patient, such as heat application, ice packs and electrical stimulation. For example, a heating pad may be applied to warm up the muscles prior to doing exercising and stretching, and an ice pack may be used afterward to sooth the muscles and soft tissues. OSee Physical Therapy: Passive PT (Modalities) for Back Pain 2.Active physical therapy, which focuses on specific exercises and stretching. For most low back pain treatments, active exercise is the focus of the physical therapy program. This article focuses on active physical therapy and exercise as a means to help recover from back problems and prevent or minimize future flare-ups of low back pain Low back pain has lasted between two and six weeks, or if there are frequent recurrences of low back pain, physical therapy is often recommended. Some spine specialists consider physical therapy sooner, particularly if the pain is severe. •Read more: Exercise and Back Pain In general, the goals of physical therapy are to decrease pain, increase function, and provide education on a maintenance program to prevent further recurrences. A physical therapy program for back pain usually has two components: 1.Passive physical therapy to help reduce the patient's pain to a more manageable level 2.Active exercises Passive Physical Therapy - Modalities Acutely, the physical therapist may focus on decreasing pain with passive physical therapy (modalities). These therapies are considered passive because they are done to the patient. Examples of modalities include: •Heat/ice packs •TENS units •Iontophoresis •Ultrasound.
